This is an outstanding piece Very righteous assessment of a VERY unique player Your notice of ‘theThrill’s uncanny abilities -particularly his ability to one-time’ those cross-ice passes - was spot on Nice job!
Watching him up close he has crazy hands, a high hockey IQ, but what makes him special is his compete level. Add in edges in puck protection and a motor that seems to never run out of fuel, he’s an absolute top 5 player. If Yulov comes over next season, and Height develops, the Wild are moving towards relevancy for the next 4-5 years, even with the cap restrictions this season. This excludes Jiricek, Buium and the number 1 goalie prospect, Wallstedt all waiting in the wings sooner than later.
Wild are looking to give him a massive extension once this season is done. I'm thinking that with the way he's playing, that he will get an 8X15 or 8X15.5M deal by the time the 4th of July rolls around. The best thing about KK97 is that he just enjoys the game.
the hockey becomes an aggressive game, and the level of the aggression increases towards the playoff. so, Minnesota is relatively a young team, however as the time goes by, these kids becoming older and stronger, hopefully they are ready for battles, although its much more fun to watch the chess type of hockey!
Completely agree. The closest Russian comp I have for Kaprizov is Pavel Datsyuk… Doesn’t have the defensive chops yet, but he doesn’t slack off either like a lot of goal scorers. Maybe not as nimble as Datsyuk, but has more power with his skating, certainly high-end edge work. Wild will need to open the vault for him
Kirill hanging out with Ovi is doing wonders for his development.. How many GM's are kicking themselves for passing on him because they were afraid he'd stay in Russia??
Dont forget the cap space thats about to open up, the disaster left behind from Suter and Parise will drop from 14 million this year to 1.4 or something like that next year, which will open up a lot of interesting doors for the wild to have another skilled forward on the lineup, they are looking great in net with Gustavsson and Jesper Walstedt developing still, the D is solid, so yeah, a great pick or 2, renew the last one or 2 contracts that need to be reupped and the wild will be a contender for a while, if they can keep healthy.
Can't forget Brodin for the D, he's an absolute unit of a shutdown defensemen, McDavid has a rather low (at least for him) points per game against the wild, and when he's on the ice, Brodin is usually there as well

Nice job!
The Vikings and Wild have both been surprises this year. Good fall/winter to be a MN fan
Wouldn't it be fun if they both won? Fun seasons so far.
Главное без травм! Матсу Zuk здоровья!
Да Фёдор это очень важно
Minnesota with #97 is a SC contender but without him probably wouldn't make the playoffs this season
This is it, and it’s why he should probably win MVP this year
Same as McDavid, Pasta, and Sid
@seanwallace89 Pittsburgh is not a SC contender this year.
@Saint-t9t not this year, but for the last two decades... without sid they'd have nothing
Negative ghost rider. Too small and worn down once playoffs start. Thats why wild are one and done every year. Best wishes. But sorry.

В Миннесоте так много хоккейных болельщиков !!!❤❤❤Мы удивляемся и восхищаемся !!! МОЛОДЦЫ ❤🎉
normally i get pissed when players do dangerous no look passes but Kaprizov is so good Im surprise when his no look passes get picked off
As long as they don't fade away at the end of the year like the have a tendency to do.

Malkin
The best player in the history of the franchise since being in Minnesota...damn. better make the best of it now!
0:21 so nasty
Absolute snipe

The dude was the 135th pick! Lol. He could be the Jokic of the NHL.

get back to me when the state of hockey finally wins a Stanley
Oh yeah they'll contact you. Meanwhile don't click on it and STFU

И этого парня задрафтовали под 135 общим номером. Можно сказать, что Миннесота выиграла в лотерею 😁
Wild mediocre like always. 😅
Not anymore more on
You wish. Currently the best team in the NHL when all the experts were predicting that MN would miss the playoffs again this year.
