Ya always great to hear Seth Killian commentate, as not only is he one of the most knowledgeable because he works at Capcom but his voice is also very easy on the ears...
I agree, this is great. Good to hear some insightful commentary and analysis. Commenting on the fight styles of the players and the explaining the motivation behind their tactics. Whoever these two are, they should be doing the commentating for more of these fight vids.
one of the best but he went from a pretty decent contender to absolute best of the best elite. Nobody has dominated a street fighter like that since daigo in some of his best years. Infiltration has made so many improvements to his game that are subtle but add up and now he's solidified himself as one of the true upper echelon players
He was just in the best form he will ever get. Obviously he could still improve even more as a player, but I don't think he can ever topped what he did in EVO2012, that was insane.
obviously infil did his research and knew how to counter daigo's play and totally shut down his fireball game perfectly. That's why he won. Not only that, but he's just a damn good player. Good counters, awesome reflexes. Anyone trying to argue otherwise is just a damn fool.
honestly I saw one guess from daigo that I pointed out. The commentators can tell whether its a guess or apart of the mix up/rockpaperscissors/in youe head reversal
@Astralgd because theres only 2 matches. not enough time. he beat poongko 8-2 before evo and after evo he also beat him in a first to ten. Poongko said he was lucky at evo and that he was glad he didnt lose 10-0 in either of his best to tens with daigo.
I'm surprised that Daigo doesn't play with Evil Ryu also. I think he would still win tournaments with him. ANd I give props to Infiltration because I heard he played with Akuma and Ryu and got second.
a possibility but i doubt it. If that comment is coming off evo hype let me assure you that the infiltration you see here and the infiltration we saw 3 days ago were two completely different players
2d fighters is half mindgame too. At that point daigo was so confident i think infiltration might have been trying to psych him out with the ultra finish. cant speak for its effectiveness, but just a possibility
like i said, possibility. and oh i know i honestly didnt expect infiltration to make top 8, much less sweep it. still, he is a professional player and professional players know how important intimidation is.
@zelgraymon actually, i think it was a good decision. The damage was heavily scaled because of the huge combo infiltration did before the stun so, if he hadn't used ultra, i think he would have needed to do a big combo (there's always the risk of dropping it) and use meter to finish with an EX shoryu. So infiltration was like, *whatever man why risk it, i'll just ultra that shit*
@UserX03 Tokidos Akuma is the opposite playing style of Infiltrations. Infiltration has a significant chance cos he has an ability to change playing styles that Tokido kinda lacks. Ofc Daigo is the master of downloading any playing style in a second.
I don't know, Infltration will probably win though, but Daigo have shown to be really good at revenge, just like what he did with Poongko after EVO 2011.
yes exactly I would never deny infil as a top player but it wasn't until after evo that I think he broke through into that upper echelon of elite players where I don't believe he will last long.
Yun had almost no life, but since he went into stun after a 7-Hit combo attacks against him were scaled down to 10% strength. Infiltration could have done the same 7-Hit combo again, though that might have risked not killing Yun. I think he did the ultra to make sure he died.
ehh idk about that, i mean he was in the grand finals in this tournament too. only difference is that AE 2011 Yun is a lot better than 2012 Ryu. especially since yun matches up better vs akuma. Infiltration has been running everything lately tho haha
if i were in daigos shoes when akuma did the air fireballs i would just do the heavy shoulder to get under them hit akuma then fallow up with ex shoulder
@PlatinumBD even though, infiltration may have better execution. When you are playing at their level you are no longer playing the character, you are playing your opponent b/c of that both players will be trying to feel each other out, hence Tokido will pull random and risky moves, throw his opponent off his game.
In fighting games lexicon, "firebal" is a general term for projectiles, you don´t have to be that literal; old habits die hard, I guess, I still hear people pronounce Sagat "Sagit", Ryu "Roo" or "R-ai-ou", back in the day nobody knew how to pronounce those names exactly, lol some of my friends still Hadokens "abugets" since it´s how it did sound on Street Fighter 2. FYI it is "Hadoken"
like i said no clue what you're talking about. every pixel of meter is critical to a top level player. Some players overlook this because it is easy to work. They reason the difference will be small and thats what seperates the champions. It's no accident all the same players who were good ages ago are still good now
Well yeah, its only Norcal Regionals you silly. Fighting games in general doesn't have as many followers as Starcraft 2 to support those kind of "official" venues (yet). Not to mention the prevalence of fighting games had only started getting popular around 2008, the same time SF4 was released. It's more in-house and that's what makes it better in so many ways imo - tighter knit community because of the stronger ties that bind us altogether and also the more casual atmosphere.
@dragonfx310 its not naruto. its kenji. go find that manga. all the moves from yun, i've seen kenji do it in the manga, in fact those are the moves he uses to finish off his major opponents throughout the manga. anyway, and its ba ji not bai chi (it means idiot) lol
@UserX03 are you kidding me?? I agree tokido might aswell be the worlds greatest akuma... But infiltration was a much bigger challenge!! rumors are that he never plays for real against daigo since they are friends and all...
@devilsnap yeah you hear a lot of other commentators and there are usualy spewing out negativity, Whether it be promoting gossip or trash talking the players/other competitors. These guys where awesome.
There's a big gap between a contender like infil and a champion like daigo. Its all those little things that add up in the end.You could pick plenty of things out but just to name one that is easy to miss go to 9:09. Do you think Daigo goes ultra in that situation the way infil does? No. Umehara will do the most meter building combo he can.
ya he defintely did his hw.. I'm assuming studying top players.. i think Infultration just wanted it more.. Daigo seems like he's over it.. relegating himself to half-retirement like Alex Valle... at least that's how it seems.
I have to say, the thing that makes Daigo the best, is sheer luck. I'd say that Infiltration > Daigo if it wasn't for the Daigo getting really lucky. @.@;
Infiltration got better now? I don't think so, he still scare Yun player like " kazunoko" . Thinking about If daigo changed YUN in the sf25th anniversary tournament grand final, then it would not be 6-0, it would be 0-6. I swear.
@iPsych09 Yeah, Daigo really knows how to put on a show getting his ass kicked by Poongko. Fuudo is just a really great player. He would have beaten Daigo if given the chance.
Ya always great to hear Seth Killian commentate, as not only is he one of the most knowledgeable because he works at Capcom but his voice is also very easy on the ears...

impressive how much better infiltration has become on reading daigo a year later. at evo 2012 he read all of daigo's moves.
Solid commentary. I would like to see more commentary like this on streams.
Infiltration has developed his game big time....he's the new beast now demon back takes over......
Agreed.
Third match he was clearly just feeling the pressure.
Great match, and best commentary I've ever heard.
Amazing, you must be able to see into the future.
He was just in the best form he will ever get. Obviously he could still improve even more as a player, but I don't think he can ever topped what he did in EVO2012, that was insane.
You mean the 2012 finals. Infiltration really played that Akuma swell, great reads and raging demons all around. Trully a rising star.
Infiltration was the EVO 2012 Champion in SSF4:AE. Don't forget that.
What about Evo 2013 finals against gamerbee? He did very well against him. He is better than now.
obviously infil did his research and knew how to counter daigo's play and totally shut down his fireball game perfectly. That's why he won. Not only that, but he's just a damn good player. Good counters, awesome reflexes. Anyone trying to argue otherwise is just a damn fool.
After winning everything for more than 10 years, its only sportsmanlike that Daigo lets other people win sometimes, otherwise it would be boring.
arent they supposed to play each other this weekend in sweden ?
@iPsych09 You're probably right.
Fuudo himself said he was lucky that he did not have to face Diago.
@vunamdeptrai Any idea who they are?
@Atrisk351 How was it lucky?
honestly I saw one guess from daigo that I pointed out. The commentators can tell whether its a guess or apart of the mix up/rockpaperscissors/in youe head reversal
@Astralgd because theres only 2 matches. not enough time.
he beat poongko 8-2 before evo and after evo he also beat him in a first to ten. Poongko said he was lucky at evo and that he was glad he didnt lose 10-0 in either of his best to tens with daigo.
i love it when players end a round with an ultra as finisher
@BboyMora1 problem?
@heythatisjourney If he's so good at downloading people's play styles, then why did Poongko and Latif make him look free at Evo?
Random fact: If one person is Vega, and the other one Balrog on this map, Bison turns up in the plane.
does anyone know how much in prize money the winner of these tourney earns? How about the big evo show?
@CurrencyxIsxClutch obvius choice since yun would had that reset with ultra if the meters are able
@UserX03 you do realize that this akuma did alot better right ?
I'm surprised that Daigo doesn't play with Evil Ryu also. I think he would still win tournaments with him. ANd I give props to Infiltration because I heard he played with Akuma and Ryu and got second.
Infiltration performance is excellent!
Respect to the man who challenged GOD DIAGO
4:54 Its UME shoryu, not infilshoryu!
@d956impala It's his translator dude.
ugh, why upload in 240p, its worse resolution than just reading the result in an article
is it just me or does Yun have the same moves as Rufus?
Like It?
oky i dono if u guys notice but infiltration was playing in defense mode kinda no really going for the combos just only when he was sure he can get it
Very well played by Infiltrator.
Dag nabbit, is there an Ultra Yun's DP actually loses to? :U
@Atrisk351 So Infiltration choked. It wasn't a matter of luck on either player's part.
a possibility but i doubt it. If that comment is coming off evo hype let me assure you that the infiltration you see here and the infiltration we saw 3 days ago were two completely different players
2 of the best players in the world
2d fighters is half mindgame too. At that point daigo was so confident i think infiltration might have been trying to psych him out with the ultra finish. cant speak for its effectiveness, but just a possibility
I could never take the time to learn to combo with ANY character like THIS. And that's why I play Blanka/Balrog.
like i said, possibility. and oh i know i honestly didnt expect infiltration to make top 8, much less sweep it. still, he is a professional player and professional players know how important intimidation is.
@zelgraymon actually, i think it was a good decision. Yet he did, I think u didnt see the sf 25th anniversary tournament
@chiaofucious he said he was gonna use Yun before the game even came out
@SeriousCasuals Yep, just shows how Seth really does deserve his job at Capcom.
wow the 3 round on 1st fight was so luky on daigos part...
Infiltration showed skill .respect. . .
@UserX03 Tokidos Akuma is the opposite playing style of Infiltrations. Infiltration has a significant chance cos he has an ability to change playing styles that Tokido kinda lacks. Ofc Daigo is the master of downloading any playing style in a second.
Evo 2013 haven't happen yet:)
I don't know, Infltration will probably win though, but Daigo have shown to be really good at revenge, just like what he did with Poongko after EVO 2011.
yes exactly I would never deny infil as a top player but it wasn't until after evo that I think he broke through into that upper echelon of elite players where I don't believe he will last long.
besides what x99xINVINCIBLEx99x said, they're technically called Gohadoukens since they're from Akuma, just saying
I'd like to see Tokido vs Infiltration mirror more than anything. ´Both of their Akumas are highest tier.
0:29 Did I just hear him say tiger knee...?
@2CoolKazinhu Fair enough.
@BlakDragon1 Akuma's U1 loses to pretty much everything. Only really works with focus or as an anti-air.
Yun had almost no life, but since he went into stun after a 7-Hit combo attacks against him were scaled down to 10% strength. Infiltration could have done the same 7-Hit combo again, though that might have risked not killing Yun. I think he did the ultra to make sure he died.
@AbirZenith Luck isn't something that comes and goes. It stays with you...
I would know about that split lucky moment that decides matches.
WOW.....I have no doubt in my mind that Daigo will win EVO 2011
ehh idk about that, i mean he was in the grand finals in this tournament too. only difference is that AE 2011 Yun is a lot better than 2012 Ryu. especially since yun matches up better vs akuma. Infiltration has been running everything lately tho haha

dont people study Daigo before going against him and vice versa?
I wish I could use yun like this
@jland3622 you say that as if it's new
2:55
5:43
Beast moments

No I didn't, what is your point?
Wow jesus...the mindgames!!
@dragonfx310
its not naruto.
its kenji.

@sircrumpets because if he hit that shoryuken it was over even if it was blocked since wen do you see these playuers do a noob move like that
@Xanax26 they weren't meant to be ):
lol "Check out my back"
Them are hadoukens not fireballs!
@devilsnap yeah you hear a lot of other commentators and there are usualy spewing out negativity, Whether it be promoting gossip or trash talking the players/other competitors. These guys where awesome.

Daigo is a human, but when he plays with Yun in SSFIV: ae he is Chuck Norris
ya he defintely did his hw.. I'm assuming studying top players.. i think Infultration just wanted it more.. Daigo seems like he's over it.. relegating himself to half-retirement like Alex Valle... at least that's how it seems.
or Zankuu Hadoukens for the air fireballs
"Check out my back"
Lol'd
Infiltration got shat on for the last two years didn't he?
'check out my back'..........
DAIGO , STOP THIS, YOUR BEST CHARACTER IS RYU!
(sorry for my english im from Brasil :3
oops, Evo 2012
Daigo is not the same with yun. I liked him before. He is now a kill machina.
that is no fear yun is too overpowered
DAIGO PULLED HIMSELF IN THE 1ST MATCH
Is it only me or, because i dont really enjoy daigos yun as much as i enjoyed his Ryu. Did Capcom nerf Ryu THATS much thats made him change? dunno
I have to say,
the thing that makes Daigo the best, is sheer luck.
I'd say that Infiltration > Daigo if it wasn't for the Daigo getting really lucky. @.@;

Fuudo is just a really great player. He would have beaten Daigo if given the chance.
@Astralgd Everybody has their off days.
@DxHuman Nope just stating a fact.
