  • FRANC3D can simulate multiple cracks in any design, using Multiple Crack Wizard option.
    Following steps are followed
    - Import prepared input file from ANSYS *.cdb file; (If it is from ABAQUS it will be *.inp and If it is from Nastran *.bdf file format )
    - Import using global and local model division option, divide the model in to global and local model
    - go to crack wizard and select multiple crack wizard
    - insert the crack and click finish to complete crack insertion
    - Perform Static Analysis to calculate SIF using M-Integral Approach, this will compute the SIF for each crack front (total 4 crack fronts in this model)
    - Visualize KI, KII, KIII for different crack fronts,
    - Simulate Crack Growth using Quasi-static condition
    - After crack growth simulation plot the SIF along the path
    - COD and other Fracture parameters
