I'm utterly flummoxed, vexed, perplexed, and flabbergasted that you can do all of this with your condition. It's incredibly inspiring for a technician like me whenever I think the job gets hard. Thank you for all that you do for this community, patient and professional!

Yup old video new comment , I have 3-4 $!# powered soldering irons , one is always in my shoulder holster ,and yes one of them is a 30 year old one from radio shack ( I also have a pocket sized torch from back in the day ) my newer irons are Weller with interchangeable tips various far and narrow tips to solder or hot cry and a shrink wrap tip .
But nothing but respect for a brother with a Hoyer chilling in storage, mad respect on that .necro comment off

i used to carry around a butane powered soldering that was pretty nice - but it broke years ago and haven't found any suitable replacements :^/

I have the C500 with tilt and recline. The seat elevator/actuator is different than what you have. Mine is froze in the elevate position, so I am replacing it. I'm hoping that taking it out and putting it back in is as easy as you make it seem!

Question/ Confirmation: at 5:39 we see that the seat tilt frame is attached directly to the seat lift assembly. Correct?
Can you confirm what the part number of the seat lift assembly is?
    Thanks in advance.

yup! the big silver plate is part of the seat lift actuator. the lifts are the same for the M300, and C300's
the chairs without an elevator just have a big tube that bolts in the same way- looks pretty much the same - just missing the motor and mechanism that lifts everything upwards.

had the leg incline actuator go out on my quantum q6 edge 2 2017, 4 hours, I had the chair in thereclined position with the legs up, had to wait4 hours for the tech to show up, remove the actuator and had to zip tie the leg extension i place so I could use a chair until the new actuator showed up

ive got power leg rests from a Q6 edge on another chair that does the same thing occasionally.. there's a little micro switch that gets stuck and they stop halfway down... sometimes if im sneaky i can get to it with my finger and trip it!

dang! u bout to clock ur head on the seat parts, ouch. Man those green lights are fun! Hoyer lifts, eeeek! Never been in one but have used them at a couple of nursing homes I worked at years and years ago. Would scare the bejesus outta me though, to be up in one without any control of that sitch, lol. I never cease to be amazed watching you do your thing though...good times for real!

Nice job! i like the hoya lift idea.i use a electric wench and pulley set up,a whole nother job itself.i thought they all were big and bulky.im going to keep my eyes open for one.man i bet would work great for batterys.

LOL ...I wonder what an O.T. or a P.T. would think if they watched this video. Impressive. Nice job. I dont think I could have done that (ever). The only thing I remember about welding is when I was told not to run a single bead around a rim. To break it up into segments. That way if the weld cracks it will stop at the end of segment and not follow the weld around the whole rim. Other than that, I burned through stuff and never got good enough to run a smooth bead. When I learned about getting flashed... I lost interest in welding.

i strapped myself to the chair when i was leaning over so i wouldn't fall on the ground LOL but yea.. probably not the best idea haha

I like the green lighting. I'm gonna do that to my new chair I got in. And the best thing is I don't have to void the warranty. It came with usb connections. My old one of 11 year's didn't have. And the weld only needs to be good enough to work for you. That's my option only. Everything else is unnecessary stress you can do without right?

I need to fetch up a hoyer lift for the house... I fell again last weekend and the wife had to call her sister to come over and help... Lucky for me they are both RNs and know how to lift my big butt... 😆 😆 👍 But a lift is definitely in my future... Or a forklift....

Permobil sucks at welding they didn't weld my chair good enough and the seat broke off the wheelchair and broke my legs
