This, and your Part 2, are a great resource for 1st time Philmont'ers, thanks for taking the time to produce them. I've looked on your gear-report site, but can't find any info on that prototype smartwater bottle filter you mention @27:00 in this video -- any more details you can share on the improved version of it?

I've been reading your posts online and really enjoyed this video. Very practical - and I know this June was challenging with all the rain. Definitely like your management system of a "smellables bag" and just keeping everything in that for easy hanging. I am looking forward to "Part II" which you'll hopefully detail what's "in your pack" (and maybe highlight differences between the guidebook to adventure vs. what you took.
