I never got past that level with the parked cars when I was little, and that part is less than half way through this video. Couldn't even get past it with friends helping, but couch co-op usually just made things worse. Accidentally hitting each other led to revenge killing and somebody with full life always stole the pizza when the other person was really low and needed it. It was a simpler time in my life. A time when I 100%'ed Kirby's Adventure but always wondered about those mysterious inaccessible doors. A time when I couldn't find anything to defeat the puke in castle 5 of The Legend of Zelda. A time when I couldn't comprehend the first Final Fantasy at all. A time when I couldn't say games were easy. It guess it was actually a harder time.
Something I find interesting with this game and TMNT 4 is that the console versions had more content than the Arcade version, with more bosses and stages.

l like yourself wish that you never did that to myself in my life.
Late stage NES really had some impressive arcade ports. This was absolutely one of them. Stretched the little NES to its limit.
Absolutamente incrível! Port perfeito para o NES
I can complete only this game from all nes tmnt games when I was a kid. Great game!
remember playing this as a child.....
I could never finish this game.... it was too difficult.....
thx 4 uploading.......
Back in the day at the arcade I conquered this game on one quarter... one quarter of a million dollars. 👀
Shogun was the toughest boss ever. I remember freaking out when his head started flying at me. Love this game growing up.
One of the non-arcade bosses ,that was an awesome edition to the NES port .
My dad showed me this game and said he loved it as a kid and I’m not good at it so I was trying to find a full play though so thanks for this. Love this game and I always use Raph.
I remember being the only one of my friends that knew how to do the strong attack that killed the footsoldiers in one strike. Just had to push A+B and you killed footsoldiers in one strike and all the other foes died very fast. So I always got more points :)
Me largaria a llorar por volver a jugar otra vez a este juego una infancia que nunca me voy a olvidar graciias por suber este video de este juego graciasss me alegraste el dia
I remember playing this in Florida in 1990 I was 7 years old at the time. It was beating it was hard.
Same exact memory for me, but change FLA for NY.
Omg, i still remember the sheer excitement i had when i got this as a kid. Thats the kind of excitement you just cant have as adult anymore
Memories man! Friday nights playing this with my brother and begging my Mom to order pizza! 🍕
Oh gosh, the song of the first level is one of the greatest instrumentals ever. When I hear it, I am seven years old all over again, and the feeling is exhilarating. I don't care if I could never get past the first level by myself...i felt like a winner when I played this. oh gosh. Great April O'Neil I did! And I wish I were Raphael in real life instead of myself a lot....oh gosh. He was my fave although I love them all. "Splinter taught us... to be ninja teens!....." thanks for this. ~riss g
Great memories! :P One of the best games on NES!
This was the only game I could afford to play on my Tv game back then in my childhood :'( I didn't have a pc that time. Lots of memories with this game.
Memories! soundtrack of my life! :D
Konami made so many bomb-ass soundtracks! From _Castlevania_ to _Rocket Knight Adventures!_
super psyched you picked Donatello, the best turtle! man havent played this game in years.
I played this game when i was a kid. Never could get pass scene 6, not even reaching the samurai boss. But watching this video felt like I pass the game.
I reached him sometimes but I died on the same level haha I needed a buddy to help!
My friend an I played this game earlier today. We're only 20 and 21 and playing on his dad's old SNES. It was dope, and a real finger exercise.
This game isn’t on Super Nintendo.
This game is on NES Nintendo the system came before the Super NES system. This game like many others I owned was a lot of fun as a kid and I am 36 and played this game a lot being a big fan of the games and of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon that ran from 1987 to 1996.
@@timothykirby4406 , hey, did you ever hear of things like the Super 8 Adapter, the Retron 3, the Retron 5, or the Analogue video game consoles? How about you do some research on those things before you do more flapping for your gums than a wind sock at O'Hare International Airport?
This was my favorite game as a kid when I let my friend borrow it and he never brought it back I nearly died.....
lol renting this one at my local video store was near impossible, same deal with Chip 'n dale. Kids kept it long over due not giving a rats tooshie about their mom having to pay all the late chargers. XD
I still prefer TMNT II over turtles in time to this day. this one was just special
One of my favorite games :) been playing through this hundred of times! :)
hit the A und B button at the same time :-)
+zhangruisi youz a pro!
Yeah that jump slash thing makes enemy one hit
Yep this is the first thing I thought when watching this!
hotwheel912 yup! That was my trick too one hitter quitter with they one! 😊
Danke haha @hotwheel912 Sie sind Deutsche?
Props to the random skater in Level 2 ignoring the "ninja robots everywhere, shelter inside" warnings on the radio. That's real dedication to being rad.
This is by far my favorite NES game!
Early 90s. Grandma's house. Watching my brother & cousin shred this game was better than a movie.
My first console game ever. Played this in 1991, i was 7 years old
Roll jump and kick, that was my favourite move!!!
I was wandering what i was humming today while playing NHL 19. Unreal. I was 9yo when i got NES in 1993. My friend got this game.
Jump kicks are your friend. Wish my 8 or 9 year old self knew that.
Peter Tilton I know right lol
Me too!
I drop kicked an entire game. lol
That’s because you’re smart
The improvement in playability from the original to the arcade port was like manna from Heaven. Still needed the 9 man code to beat it though. We used to yell "I'm invincible!" like Krang playing outside lmao. Great game and better memories.
Spent a lot of time in my ninja turtle bean bag playing this as a kid! Classic
Nice, I didnt even know they had tmnt bean bags lol
Loved this game, it's gameplay I think really paved the way for arguably the best of them all.. turtles in time on snes
Facts
OMG i've played this game so much in the nineties, thank you !
Buenazo el jugador no perdió ninguna de sus vidas hasta que llegó hasta Crang y Shedder
So awesome. The full power of the NES in use to create one of the greatest action side scrollers ever.
Esse foi um dos jogos que marcaram a minha infância! Excelente!
Sound track is the best! Now I know why I love e music ! This got me crazy as a child !
This was my fave game as a kid along with sm3! BTW, you're sick at it. I just got done playing an online version. Had fun, blast from the great past!
Konami did one heck of a job on this game giving the hardware. Loved this game!
Something I find interesting with this game and TMNT 4 is that the console versions had more content than the Arcade version, with more bosses and stages.
Always playing 2 player and my partner always dieing before we get to Shredder. The memories back in thr early 90s...goat era of tv games..exchanging cartridges..playing over at our friends..miss those days
