- The Interview you have all been waiting for. A representative from the whale community, we will call him Mr. W speaks his truth about win trading, account buying and selling and hired mercenaries in Diablo Immortal. I would truly appreciate educated, adult comments on this video.
Additionally, the character image in the thumbnail of this video is not the player who is being interviewed in the video.

U keep doing u mate. Always liked the neutral views u hold.
After 40 years of gaming the drama is just entertaining to me and turns into white noise at a point , great video m8 , nany tks
Thank you
most of whales are bought accounts, ofc they getting more the longer this game existist and they keep spending (the game alive). even as a f2p iam thankful for every spender in this game
fr i remember i've been playing probably on this people's money and i forgive them
@datschu rofl the problem is the pilots are not spending in the game and devour the legit population...
The more it happens the more the legit whales quit the game>The worse the economy becomes for f2p people to make platinum>The less money the developers make> the more server mergering has to happen> the faster the game dies merge merge merge.
Cheat2win deathoys Pay2win games and destroys free2play games cheat2win becomes an abusive platform in every game cheating is allowed to dominate.
It is simple simple simple you cannot allow cheating and fraud to win.
Blizzard built a virtual ecosystem with what I imagine were pure and good intentions-a space where gamers could immerse themselves in games like World of Warcraft or Diablo. This ecosystem was designed as a sanctuary for creativity, competition, and community. But within this carefully crafted world, we-the players-created a secondary ecosystem of our own.
Fueled by human desires, we brought with us greed, ambition, and the thirst for power. This new layer of reality mirrored the imperfections of the real world. What began as a space for fun and connection became tainted by exploitation, manipulation, and struggles for dominance. Players pursued wealth, status, and influence, embodying behaviors that could be likened to the seven deadly sins.
The result? An ecosystem that began to betray its original design. Hierarchies emerged, toxic behaviors spread, and the purity of the initial vision was overshadowed by dysfunction. It makes you wonder: are we doomed to impose our flaws on even the most well-intentioned creations? And why, when things break down, are we so surprised?
You basically just described the biblical fall of man from eden lol. Nicely put.
yall so dumb making excuses for this crap
A great interview and a lot of ground covered with even more ground still left unexplored. I think there is room for a follow up stream as well. As one of the few “legit” krakens left in the game I see so much going on with both sides of this singular whale war in only 1 region that people think is the entirety of the whale environment globally. This really covered the fundamentals of think of the current DI paradigm. Without whales the “win trading” would still exist, even if you don’t want to admit it. People will still do what it takes to win. And if it’s still a legitimate avoidance of fighting the 3 strongest shadow clans of for RoE (which is strategically the smartest thing to do), people will still call it win trading based on emotionally fueled and biased perceptions.
Personally, as one of the massive legit spenders of DI, the bigger offense and threat to the game was left unchecked for too long, that being Susan express/play buying. This directly stole money from netease and blizz, and hurt the solvency of the game, as well as irreparably created power dynamics that will define the future of the game in perpetuity due to the damage done.
Also, just one final call out. There are several free to play with alt accounts they use to farm gems to generate revenue to funnel back to their primary accounts. This is also a ToS violation. If we are going to start ban hammering, it makes the most fiscal sense to ban the offenders that are damaging revenue generation rather than the ones that are creating revenue generation. I personally think these f2p gem farmers are a very healthy thing in the game or else the market would be soul crushing. However, if we are going to become a community that follows ToS 100%, then you can’t have one without the other. That being you can’t do a global ban on account sharing without enforcing all other bannable offenses. Just food for thought.
They do not have a game anymore they have a platform of abuse...
That is making less $$$ monthly patch after patch as cheaters destroy the population.
Just like any other game where cheaters dominate the population dies, it is that simple.
It is not complex cheat2win is the death of pay2win.
😢
Very well said RP. Really looking forward to your interview video.
Also, on an unrelated note..you're the best clan leader in all of DI 😁
NGL, not everyone is going to agree with what Mr W has to say. Not everyone plays DI this way, but it is important to know how the other side feels.
I look forward to enjoying the next hour
I completely agree. This is one side of a story. The other side is yet to be told in this in depth way. I appreciate you watching red.
@@Hihihiheheheheiyou can tell them your one sided version
Great interview mate @Echo and Mr W . I’m interested in a few more interview’s with whales across the board , the good the bad and the truly toxic ones as long as they are as well spoken as this one. Cheers
Thanks man! I’m planning on it.
There's no apostrophe in 'interviews'.
The guy has no idea, but what can you expect when someone plays and has to buy an advantage. He lies from top to bottom and believes that shit too. No, kid, you don't know anyone from Blizzard, I can say that for sure. And what you said about other Blizzard games, that's total bullshit too, it's not true, anyone who's played Blizzard games can tell you that. I am over 4kd player in CoD, I play over 5kd in Destiny, come join me in a PvP game in another game and then come join me in a Diablo immortal game with your high Resonanz and then you will clearly notice a difference and that should show you what pay to win rags you are. The problem is because you play pay to win and that's actually the reason, I think, or is it your lack of cognitive intelligence that you don't even understand the game you're playing. How can I expect you to understand more complicated games?
Hu??
😂😂😂😂
“Anybody you’ve ever met has a shared account”? No, anyone that guy has ever met. A very few people with lots of cash don’t care about rules. Pretty simple actually. Rules are for the poors.
Well spoken.
Exactly, he spent one hour hemming and hawing, jibber jabbering to justify why he and all his buddies simply do whatever TF they want, rules be damned.
There are a lot of people with shared accounts, not just whales. That's my experience and honestly it doesn't impact my play, so I don't care. "Rules are for the poors." lol, relax dude, It's just a game. No need to get on your soap box and make this about whatever chip is on your shoulder.
@ chip on my shoulder? 😂 I don’t even play the game. I’m a Clash player. I just hate cheaters.
I’m pretty sure not everyone is going to endorse everything W has to say. But at least we get to hear the other side of the fence. It just goes to show that you can’t trust everything you hear on the internet. It was just a minute ago when we were being led to believe that whales were charging folks $666 per blessed reign 😂😂
Thank you Echo for offering a platform where intelligent and civil discourse can happen between both sides
I'd like to know how many devs are working on this game on a daily basis(in the US), how many of those devs are working in/from China(Netease). Considering the amount of content we get(regurgitated events ad nauseum and 10-20 sec animations plus some cosmetics) I find it very hard to believe that "whales" are required to keep this game alive financially. What exactly do we get that is so financially heavy to lift, is it server costs? How much money is needed to make a 10-20 sec visual animation when we get a "big" event 3-4 times a year? How expensive is it to make 20 various bundles available in the shop plus some cosmetics etcetera, How much time and money does it take to code 2 extra buyable stash tabs?? i know it's not nothing but really????
This is a free game to play. The game developer probably makes between 100 and 150k since blizzard is in California. And all of the staff that they have to pay and you think that a $5 battle pass a month pays their salary and all the technology fees. Then I am a prince from Nigeria. If you send me $100 I will return the favor and send you $1000
@@munge344 It's a bit more than a 5 dollar battlepass though isn't it mate? Why are you understating?..your highness Adebayo.
If a non whale purchased a whale account, the account will eventually stagnant and be left out at some point in time.
Also, old accounts on diablo are high reso about 3-6k reso, those are the guys who did alt farming before since its easy to ghost trade long time ago. They would just post a leg gem and overprice it. Plats have been raining too. Imagine selling a gray rune for a lot of plat.
It is easy to spot an old whale account who is sold. They use non-meta gems that are high lvl.
Who cares if this happens in any game. If you spend on your character or buy one. If you are in a crap clan because all the whales are buying and selling accounts, go join their clan if you want a blessed reign.
Thank you Echo Gaming and Mr. W for coming together to have a mature and insightful conversation about the perspectives and challenges being faced. Hopefully, some folks from blizzard seriously sit down and have a chat about minimizing system abuse while having a sustainable way to keep funding the development of games like Diablo Immortal which so many of us love and enjoy.
I’m glad you appreciate the video
Make a single server cluster with higher badge rewards (maybe 5% higher). If the 20% badge means so much, then the whales will be drawn to this cluster to fight for an even bigger badge %.
As a Diablo player since 1996 I can agree and confirm almost everything that has been said here. It is and has always been that way since D2. But, in my opinion, there is one big and potentially dangerous difference that DI has over the rest and, in some countries, it is called gambling addiction. In several EU countries, due to their more restrictive laws, DI cannot be played "legally". That must mean something, right? Your money, your rules, no objection to that. Without players spending money this game would not exist, that is a fact. That said, I must add that for some people this game can potentially ruin their lives too.
Account buying, trading, selling has been around since D2. Nothing new. If I had the money, I'd do it too since it's gone mainstream, as would many other players. But since the majority can't afford it and fear the economic loss if they get banned, they don't. Players will ALWAYS find a way to gain advantage or exploit the system.
By the way, everyone that buys anything supports the game through economies of scale. Every ocean starts with a drop. At 16:04 you said that low paying players don't support the game. That's just disingenuous. I disagree with your comment.
I’m just in awe that this is what has people up in arms.
All the bot selling and duping of gems, speed hacks and people are mad that someone sells a 200k account for 20k
@@joab757 lol it is a platform of abuse and a cheat2win game they aren't real whales so... It makes real whales quit and more people pilot.
You have to have real whales who spend in the game to keep the economy going, to make the game profitable, you have to have $$$ and enforce against bots to keep the game from lagging.
It's just the end of the game the way Cheat2win takes over when Pay2win can't win...
I troll Echo alot, but this was a good video. Many of us dont understand thevwhole whale "ethos" per say, but this guy was the perfect guy tobexplain it. Very articulate, explains it perfectly, and is right on about how 20K is nothing to a rare few. Good for them honestly and spend your money how YOU want and thats no troll. Good pic on this guy to relay it to us Echo. And as you know, you dont get that often lol. Good work Echo.
We need them whales to keep the game alive. Mind not those who complainr, they dont contribute to the game. Freeloaders.
Lol. Not untrue
Greybeard, that you?
Why don't they do sever merger with 2 or 3 servers and have a event where 2 or 3 servers fight against each other but they even out from each server
this was an an amazing interview, W video, W game, W Echo Games!
Thank you.
Excellent long form interview. We want more!!
Thanks so much
Mr. W is right. Only the whale community fund a lot more than just content for this game. This game was developed in hopes to fund WoW updates. It succeeded. The top clan in WoW might bring in 9k USD a month. So, it needs this revenue to supply content updates.
That’s a point I haven’t heard but that makes sense. DI supporting other blizzard games.
@@ECHOGamingDiablo @DKhonGaming
what are you guys talking about? 'support Wow' .... 'makes sense' This is a fortune 500 company!
Wow - revenues in the 600 million range annually
D4 - about 1 BILLION in a Quarter - STILL the most profitably game ever by Blizz
Other small games like Call of Duty, Modern Warfar, Overwatch, Wow, Candy Crush... Activision Blizzards net revenue in the 3 Billion dollar per Quarter mark - Netease around 4 Billion per Quarter mark.
Immortal? The guess is 600 million (2.5 yrs) but china is the wildcard here, but not THAT wild....
Bullsh!t. Games and the gaming industry has lived breathed and thrived without pay to win and without whales. Don't believe or buy into this, "we have to have ptw" in order to fund development bullshit.
For years we have bought game titles, Paid subscription fees, had ads, paid for cosmetics are all tried and true viable ways.
No one needs or wants whales and ptw mechanics. These mechanics are why so many have left the game. unbelievable.
Ive been saying since day 1 blizz used di as d4 gap funding
@@xrisku that does not hold true. It's a hole filler jn release cycles perhaps but it's revenue is tiny compared to other titles and more than 50%of revenue has to be Netease as it was 60% of market back in first year.
This guy is wrong, my clan would NOT win trade. There are legit players out there.
The issue is that the accounts are being used to control servers. Whales are being paid by getting 2ndarie gems for min platinum. Account pilots are grinding characters for whales and then claiming the rewards. Other whales that dont use pilots are well behind on cr because they do things the right way. If you break the rules in real life there are consequences. Why is there none in game? I disagree that banning whales that *cheat*( yes it is cheating) will ruin the game. I think it will be more enjoyable and a better game to clear the bad actors out of the game. I am curious to see if you have someone on that will tell.you the emotional damage these server controllers have caused and how they attack players with alts when they dont like what u say. Its time for good ethics and morals to come back. Just because you have.money shouldn't give you the right to cheat.
I am a over 10k reso player and i have played every second of my own account. I disagree with a lot in this video. I am glad you guys are opening the conversation up though. It should be talked about until there is no more drama. This is super important for the integrity and life of the game.
Good job, Echo. This interview put forth a fairly nuanced and well articulated view.
Propaganda, you mean. And not at all close to reality, Brandon.
@xrisku Which part did you find to be propagandist? They covered many topics, and I am not sure which you are referring to.
@@xriskuwell tell us the reality then oh Prophet
This interview was sad and hilarious. Just ‘bought whale account’ propaganda. The people who lose out in all of this are the honest players, playing and investing in the game the honest way, under the TOS umbrella that is not being enforced by Blizzard. Imagine being so out of touch, that you think it’s ok to spend 15k on a top of the line account, when others have had to pay 300k to get to the same spot. At this point, a decent spender like myself 5.6k reso, has spent more than 80% of these fake whales, because I’ve done it the real way. Saying that the pilots on these whale accounts are the main investors is criminally untrue. The real investors in this game, at this point, are the LEGIT whales and then the 5-7k accounts that have actually got there legitimately. If you ban these accounts, it may hurt the game in the short term, but will help the game thrive long-term. This would force these rich idiots to actually invest properly, to get to where they had taken a shortcut to, and it would give real players a chance to have fun again. There is no two sides to this story. If you cheat, you’re a cheater. Plain and simple. Just because it goes on elsewhere, doesn’t make it in any way right. And this silly idea about creating a marketplace is insulting to the REAL players investing…. Who paid REAL prices for their accounts. To see Blizzard undercut them and sell these accounts for Pennie’s on the dollar is REALLY what would kill this game. None of us would ever support this company again. I love how people eat up this BS as though this has any merit. Absolute nonsense!
Glad you saw the forest for the trees. So many will be easily persuaded by this ludicrous interview, but it does certainly give ample insight into the cheater's justification mindset.
@@xrisku Yeah hearing the delusion was interesting. Hilarious that he tried to twist everything so much, that he ended up contradicting himself multiple different times in the interview lol. The best part was “the people who cheat and pay Pennie’s are the biggest funders in the game! The game can’t survive without them.” I love Echo, but his unwillingness to see things for what they are and push back in absolutely any way was discouraging.
Also, hundreds if not thousands of LEGIT players have left our server, the largest en masse exodus occuring just 3 weeks ago after Kincaid officially killed the server via throw clans and 6-way win trading. Now our market is dead. Kincaid minions keep saying it's not dead, it's just coincidental... sigh. Pilots dont buy or sell on the market nor run crests, not like LEGIT players. And so now our auction house is dead. Just one more side effect of this mafia.
@@jesseguertin1158 you’re missing the point here. These accounts, rather than going dormant from some on quitting are still generating revenue for Blizzard if they are going to be continue to be used.
The bigger point that is lost is the psychology of the new owner. Even if they spent before, they will be spending on a much greater scale because they will be now playing at a higher echelon where even the smallest upgrades go from costing less than a hundred dollars instead become thousands because of exponential scale of the materials required.
I’m not justifying the violation of ToS, I’m just pointing out the business case. Really I think the extremist call for ToS would kill the game, because that means a crash of markets as well, due to anyone who ever alt farmed being banned as well, not to mention account sharing. You call for strict enforcement without it being globally applied.
@@robertpaulson8153 I think if they started banning these accounts, people would stop buying them. The pretenders would be gone and the contenders would remain. These cheaters would have to build their own character instead of piggy backing on top of someone else’s dime. The desire to dominate wouldn’t go anywhere, just the shortcut to get there would be gone. They would have to reinvest. Or they really have “all this money” I I’m sure they would; because now they would have something to prove. This would also fix the over saturation of whales in the game. When a player retires, he’s gone. The whales are paying for the glory. They got what they paid for when they held the prestige and dominated reigns over and over. Thats how it should be. It was never part of the deal that they got to recoup their money when they quit. This way of things would make whales much more impressive. Now they’re everywhere and there is no room for 5-7k players. We spend and spend and spend and can never get anywhere because of this outrageous unwillingness of Blizzard to enforce their own rules. It’s madness. All these fake whales are just altering the landscape and have invested far less than we have. THIS is what will kill the game, when 6k players have just had enough of this bullshit and quit, never to return to the pay-to-win model ever again.
Hmm. Sugar coat it all you want but if it is against terms of service its wrong. Misplaced logic quite funny. Its absurd to scrap a car and logical to sell it? Yeah at face value it sounds correct but there is no prohibition unlike selling account. Also its not comparable to medical marijuana as used for pain remedy lol. Thats is real life and medical purposes that can affect life and its being compared to a game? Its not even necessary to spend in order to play , just plain vanity.
People who bought things inside the game knowing that the Intectual creation doesn't belong to them. If you don't know that you need to grow up because you're spending as a grown man.
If bliz decides to sell account its a management prerogative unless implemented it remains restricted and no room for interpretation.
Real life practicality? Lol the fact that a high number of people do it does not justify a wrong nor means it is allowed. Its just a matter of difficulty of enforcement due to lack of proof that can be actually used in instances of a law suit. They can track it but restricted by confidential info that they can not use.
People uses gray area carelessly to justify things that what they want to belive to be right. If money is involved which is not related to any in game mechanic is not allowed. Face it its not that hard to distinguish, it gets complicated soley because people want to force their self serving belief.
My server is essentially the top 6 clans rotating immortal.
Ya most are, sadly
@@solmirin3039 pretty much the same here, except it’s 5 clans and the 6th spot kind of rotates.
@robertpaulson8153 that's interesting, we actually just rotated a new clan. The "other three" did something similar 2 reigns ago. There are definitely strong similarities.
my server also keeps the top 6 clans rotating immortal. if anyone wants to experience being immortal, they have to leave their clans and move up to one of the main 6. unfortunately, pretty sure most servers are like this now.
@KZ-mi2ui that sounds very familiar
What about having a server resonance median
I would argue that the $5-$25\month support the game as much, or more, then whales. Sure, whales spend a lot, but it's always instant, whereas guppies, dolphins, what have you, spend every month. think about the numbers of low to mid spenders that are monthly vs. whales that spend a ton every time some big thing happens.
I would say battle pass helps very little. There are not as many players in di that we think. In addition whales buy everything. Including battle bass and all services. I would argue that if all whales left the game would not longer have frequent updates and would eventually fizzle out.
@ECHOGamingDiablo oh, definitely, it would. A few ppl and I had a good conversation after one of misery's stream. 1 whale, 1 high spender, and 2 of us goobers :] The 2 big fish made some very good points about who supports the game most. Although, we didn't talk about services. I wonder how missed, aside from it 2-3am, lol. You have a good point
One whale spent around 160k$in a short time, just had one that in 4 weeks became 11k reso, how many small player do you need to make that money in one year with 22$ of battle pass? In my server I count about 10 whales maxed
There are approximately 35k active daily DI players. Factor in bots and alts, and I have heard 40-60% are unique individuals. Being generous at the 60% unique players, that is 21K. Assuming all buy the BP, which they do not, that's 21,000 x $5 = $100K/mo. My ex's pre-tax salary was more than this. Even at 35k, its only $175k/mo. Double it, lets say players only log in every other day, so independent stats of unique log ins are under-estimated, so it's really 70K players buying 70K bps a month, which it aint, but still.... that's still only $350k/month earnings. Hence the push for $15/mo bp. I'm frankly surprised they have not raised the basic bp to $10/mo. So ya, BP isn't the moneymaker.
I mean no matter what there will always be whales and minnows in game. If the whales keep it afloat then fine as long as im not forced to chew on their toes weekly or monthly in events what do I care as long as the game itself gains content. Very informative as usual. I just wish theyd let us cross use cosmetics and maybe trade among clans or warbands.
DrizztDuOrden ImNotDeadYet Lysander server.
I agree! I'm on the same server as you
PapaJohnson- Rising Phoenix
See ya around
@mattgreen2559 will do.
Been in a immortals 1 time with echoe red solinari few others that was a clan inv. In iceburn there's a few whales that personally iv had help and never had any issues with 1 time. Gauntlets raids the works. Radagon is a epic guy. Just 1 of many many iceburn players I'd say are decent 110%.
Very articulate dialogue. Not only enjoyed it but gleaned a lot of interesting insights into the other perspective of ‘hobby’ players
You got to start interviewing more of these whale guys think this is some of the best content you've released ever
Fantastic content! Thanks ECHO and W :)
Thanks Chasen again!
Echo please help me out because without a doubt you have a great experience in the Diablo world. So which version of Diablo 4 should I download? From between the Deluxe or the Ultimate edition which one should I purchase? And also; is the in game Battle Pass there worth purchasing?
I am not an expert in diablo 4 unfortunately but I have the normal version personally
@ECHOGamingDiablo then I will just try out that. Also actually DI was my first Blizzard game. Didn't play any of the other versions. Since by the end of next week I am going to finish building my beast gaming pc, I wanted to try out D4
love the thumbnail headline…..lawl
Solid content this Echo. Good job 💪💪💪
That's right. One of my friends just bought an account with 6k res, but now he's spending a lot of money to raise it to 9k res now.
I'm not a whale but as a long time gamer I totally agree with mister whale here.
Ty Echo and MR.W, and ty all the spenders in this game.
I'm a low spender, I was wondering who and how to manage the top 6 clans in each servers, who're those officers that only arranging the clan events like VOB and ROE? Are they official from blizzd? If so, they leaded those top6 clans to rotate. Is it designed for in the game?
In short, I wondering any officer in the top6 clans is working for Blizzd? I think that means a lot for a competitive game, means all just under their control, ironically.
Mardial payed frky $15k to come over to his server and help it wasn't guaranteed. Mardial has since quit and sold both his accounts. They still didnt win reign so its not guarenteed. Great video by the way
Yup he came to my server with him as well screwed the other 3 clans in out rotation out of a reign
OMG your level is so low... i play only 20min a day and still higher than you
at least you need to play more man that level is so low meaning you are not even playing 30min a day
Lvl up takes tons of time at his lvl , 20 minutes will get you nothing
playing for 2years man i know how leveling work
he is not even close to average
What?😂😂😂 nothing made sense. Think he paid some $14 to talk nonsense
Whale makes me more excited and encouraged to see how they character is amazing even though I don’t spend much money I like to see them and sometimes they help me to finish my raid so I don’t have any problem with them in the game just enjoy it and not focus with the whale.
dear Echo, i dont think u should say that ur $15 spend it per month dont support the game, right whales support with 150-200k but for the actual numbers of this game, i think this kind of spent really "help" to the game to exist. By the way i really think the most base players of the game spent at least 5 usd every other month and the real f2p base is lower than thow who have already spent some money. My point is, Diablo Immortal since the firts year thanks to that "bad publicity" let clear that the game is pay to win, and being one of the most great game (system, gamplay, class, map, skins and a lot of thinks compare to many game like mmorpg) every client and not player who sets foot in this game, knows that maybe he had to spent some battle pases or maybe a good skin.
Thanks for the great video, was very enlightening.
Thank you
Ffs, leave at least one server cluster competitive. So many players are searching and most just leaving the game all together because of the 5-6 clan win trading alliances. It's a trash system and you all know it.
Who cares if people sell or share accounts! Seriously. The real issue is duping etc
thankfully ppl hate each other and don’t get along well:) have seen 3 whaleish clans disappear so we have a chance to be immo with the help of nice whales
Didn’t really address how this affects overall game health and the perspective of a mid spender. Maybe do an opposing viewpoint interview?
More interviews coming 😉
Thank you Echo & Mr. W for sharing.
W. Mr. W. It couldn't possibly be Mr. B.... 😂😂😂😂😂 and we know it's not Mr. K.....
Investigate both the accounts that are reporting and the reported account. BOTH need reviewed.
20k to get blessed reighn, 20k would pay my loans 😢. I still try if i have enough to buy some stuff in the game, but its not easy. Oooo i would like to pay more if i could 😅
I think they're gonna drop new capes or other features right before or after people get the final cape that is currently in the game.
Also how big of a whale do you need to be to get bribed onto another server?!
Echo, I'd rather see you play path of exile.
He talked about everything, but Susan express, lol.
Great interview Echo! I agree with the interviewee with a corrective note on server transfers - they took place during year 1 before blessed reigns. When it was first offered, our alliance transferred to a whale server so the whales could have competition because our alliance dominated our former server.
With regards to whales being helpful - we have been personally carried in older raid content so that we could move to the next level and carried in gauntlet. They have been a great community for us causal, free to play and low spenders.
Thank you
Server transfers began in late winter, early spring of 2023. I server transferred in the first wwek of May, 2023 to get away from win trading, which was in full swing at that time. You lost all your badges when you transferred back then, along with everything becoming bound.
Blessed reigns did not start until fall of 2023, as I recall. I was Immo in August of 2023 and no Blessed reign for me. There were at least 1.5 years between server transfers and blessed reigns becoming available.
Ya, I just laughed at this convenient re-writing of history, also known as gaslighting. There were ample instances of that in this video. Or outright just made shit up. Glad I wasnt the only one who caught that.
As for helpful whales, our server used to have them, but we just lost alot of them. Kincaid whale pilots are usually not too terribly helpful in that regard. Shout out to Bobbie, Cassady, Dustin, Rheaa, Bingo, Exit, Constantine/Doom, BBQ, Razzer, Joebe (RIP) and so many more I may have forgotten, all of whom carried us endlessly and selflessly but ultimately server transferred and/or quit playing. The server I am on still has whales like Laufy, Raine, Omni etc who will carry - but most whales are Kincaid's and few ever really try to help at all outside their bubble. Radagan would be the exception - he always helps. He's very busy right now getting players their i5 unlocks. I never saw Kincaid ever offer to carry anyone - never even once. Too busy scheming, I guess. Priorities, there's more servers to kill. Gotta get on that. I haven't seen the new Kincaid installed Immo offer to carry anyone ever either. Talks up a lotta shit on WC tho. Very becoming for the Immo. Guess when something is handed to you, you dont know how to behave. What Im saying is when a huge chunk of whales and porpoises leave, 9 clans left the server in less than 6 months, and all you are basically left with are Kincaid pilots with gifted whale accounts, dont expect much in the way of carries. Our server is so divided after this latest kincaid created clusterfuck I wonder if it will ever recover.
Why Mr. W? Mr. Pink is better bc Reservoir Dogs is awesome.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I also called him Mr. Pink
10:12 cars and property are not the same as an account on diablo lmao that's preposterous 😂
He’s saying they have the same value, and they do.
Realistically, the account or the character is essentially an interactive NFT. Whether or not you think NFTs are worth a damn, they are an asset with a value. I think the point he’s trying to get across is there’s something that was spent on that retains value, and you generally don’t let something of value be thrown away if there’s still some kind of ability to recapture revenue.
@@robertpaulson8153they are worthless if the game drops....a car is an asset because it's there, the company can't suddenly turn it off
@@RhyseHawkins yeah and cars are worthless if we run out of oil. Or in some cases electric same argument can be made in any sense at this moment they have that value.
@@RhyseHawkinsthe same could be said about nft’s given their value is only based on interest and of course that the data remains intact. You could say the same thing about a piece of art as well (albeit most art of value generally maintains a physical presence). Art could be destroyed, damaged, or lose value in an instant. The point is if something has value, it’s an asset, tangible or intangible, and if value is present then it’s still something that can be bought or sold in ownership exchanges. Not trying to give a lecture on basics of economics and business, but it’s just a statement that I think Mr W made to help try and put it into layman’s terms.
The problem with a Blizzard-sanctioned marketplace is that in many countries DI not being gambling hinges on the fact that you can't cash out your "winnings". The moment you add a marketplace where you can sell your character for cash, that argument breaks down and the game gets regulated into oblivion. They could of course add a marketplace where you can sell for Blizzard store credit or platinum, but nobody would sell there if they would be selling precisely because they want to quit and would have no use for the platinum/store credit.
This whale is Elon Musk undercover 😂
Lol. top comment lol
I dont do nothing bad in game i think, but jea 1 accidental ban and id not play this to grind my self back again. Im not spending much in this game but still, then id spend 0. Used to have GM's in games who talk to you in what you did wrong and tempo ban you, for you to learn the lesson etc.
Last vid I'll watch. Way to lob those softballs.
I quit Blizzard.Worse company in world.
they could easily stop if if it was in their interrest to stop just like plat sellers
Did he talk about Player count ect ?
No
Other than to claim 25% of the player base are whales, which is obviously delusional thinking
8:04 That is a huge accusation against Developers and Blizzard. If i understand it right. That means Blizz is giving it a blind eye on purpose if we trust what Mr.W is speaking is the truth!
seems like many Diablo Immortal content creators might have a different view on how businesses and the corporate world actually work. It's easy to get caught up in the game or by brainfeeding trolls (20K per rain) and maybe not always see things from a real-world perspective.
@datschu What I am saying is another thing compare to what you just said here.
If I am to believe what Mr.W (Anonymous) is saying is true. Then they are not a company on which players based can trust upon on. It opens a very ugly door of speculations such as.
If blizzard and developers are keeping a blind eye to win/trading and buy accounts then it could also mean they could ban anyone for false charges. Maybe players who have been posting on Reddit about their bans were actually talking the truth all along and false charges against them were taken out anyways and there is nothing they can do about it.
Video games are the source of an entertainment before it should be consider as Business and if that is not the case then TOS of Blizzard should be updated allowing players to freely sell accounts and do win trading but if that is not the case then a company should stay true to their TOS despite of taking losses or it will leave a bad look for them.
@datschu What I’m saying is completely different-it’s like comparing ice to fire.
If we’re to trust this Mr. W, then trusting the company would no longer be an option. It would mean the Terms of Service are just for show, and the company can turn a blind eye to anything that benefits them while ignoring what doesn’t.
This opens a very ugly door of speculation when a company’s word is no longer trustworthy. For example:
Maybe the players who were banned and posted on Reddit were actually innocent, but false charges were taken out against them.
If developers and the company know everything happening with an account, it could mean someone with power and a vendetta against a certain player could take unjust actions.
Or, if whales are friends with the company or developers, they could request favors to ban someone or take actions to protect their cash cows.
This would be a terrible look if this door were to open. If Blizzard is purely focused on business, then they should revise their Terms of Service to allow players to sell accounts and participate in win trading. Otherwise, they need to stay true to their TOS and take action against violators, even if it results in financial losses.
I bet Mr w is a certain someone responsible for the mess
I genuinely think you’re ignorant if you don’t think they are turning a blind eye to this. Believing the are actually unaware after 2+ years of people decrying this situation is just nonsensical. This is a multibillion dollar industry with a revenue stream that grosses several million dollars monthly, wha r company in their right mind wouldn’t be hearing the loudest and most consistent discussion in the community?
how about an interview from f2p
I presume it would start from "I have no money'😂

Aka meet the Priccs
So many big spenders i know are drinkers and tokers. They will just spend without much thought few hundreds to a thousand here and there. I guess would be similar to spending in a club bar for entertainment
How I see it is. If we didn't hav whales would we be 3years in or over at first year. Iv spent 500 ish on it and I'll spend more. Love game contents decent. Spend or don't upto u. As for acc buying or exchanging who cares I'm a og account from day 1.ex scrappy echoe said year 1 I wanna be 2500-3000 reso by year 2. I'm 2430 I think and my divice crapped itself with graphics update lol. Why I slowed down.
Are you serious , that sounds like kincaid
I love the game and all the whales that comes with it .
26:32 dudes talking about mardial lmaooo
I dare ppl to come to our cluster to destroy it.
They just dust destroyed my cluster. Be careful what you wish for. These are cheater whales with gem duped 10k secondaries and 10k plus res. It's those secondaries which are truly problematic.
Then have enough space on the severs to make new severs and then other people can join
Why not blizz will put limit number of whales per clan.
I dont know why they would limit the amount of spenders. That would hurt their bottom line.
The moment Blizzard officially allows selling/buying accounts/characters via a market place,
the game will lose players in record numbers. This will be the final death sentence to the game.
The only thing that would be worse: Selling newly created whale characters in the in-game shop.
Very bad idea: You want to buy resonance, items or gems? Let Blizzard sell them direcly in-game.
solution change the tos from illegal to make it legal i think thats one of the best solution
Whale spend 500-1000 per week easy 52 week oer year
@@francoismarquis7002 pretty much. Can’t tell me this population doesn’t receive greater consideration for retention than the $5 battle pass cohort.
I don't care .selling ,sharing, renting acc should not be a thing.get new toon pilot it yourself and spend however you won.but made it yourselves. Spend millions if you like on every single toon .but that have to be made by the owner and NO ONE ELSE.Period.all the manipulation made butcher 80% of the people in the game to experience what us to be immortal.every and I mean EVERY single server cluster have 6 clans in non stop rotation. The rest are just sitting there as guests, watchers who will never be immortals, who will never experience a propper vault fight.or anything related to the pvp in there cluster. They are just there
I literally want to have a beer with this guy! Well played Sir Whale, way to clear the air.
All bullcrap wow have subscription like a pass in immortal you don't pay nothing else you can do all stuff in game have all best stuff that game have to offer is you play in decent guild. And does the same money was immortal if not more. Don't compare wow to immortal this is just to rip money from poor mind people. Is excuse that whales is what pay the game update. The pass pays that all rest is for share holders, this is just sad of excuse. Games shouldn't be like this is because of whales and greed people that gaming become like this. Years ago 60 euros for full game was consider expensive now a stupid skin that don't even work full like you brought it you need to pay the premion pass for it to work cost 180 euros. This is main problem people pay. If people stop pay they going 2 change how there stuff work.
I agree..the price of things for what you actually get is disgustingly exorbitant.
9 clans on my server including mine.
W video Echo!
Should invite a 12k reso whale in izual haha
Praise the whales don't hate them
Praise noncheater whales. The rest suck.
Whales are not supported small players i don't like whales
Very good interview! This guy is very right and almost every topic. He truly give all relevant information to the community.
Glad you enjoyed it!
@ECHOGamingDiablo I'm whale in a different region, but it is all the same. It is the power of politics and money that brings this whole situation to a new level. You cannot fight what was done by design. The only reason to keep spending is the PvP events inside your server, not random Bgs.
Appreciate this investigative journalism
😂😂😂😂😂
I am so tired of reporting the same chinese market bots. It's so obvious
This isnt about chinese market bots
I really like this interview, it really makes sense and it's the reality. account buying should have not been banned in the first place. it's been pretty normal since online games started back in the mid 2000's. most gamers now feel so entitled and complained with everything its insane. lol
Thanks so much Kevin
TRUTH is extremely relative. I would call it propaganda and gaslighting, but you may say potayto, while I say potahto. 😂😂😂
Great interview! Thanks Echo!
I’m not a fan of the way you and Apollyon waste time discussing topics like buying, so called cheating, and win trading, etc. It’s becoming TMZ, where the focus is on gossip and speculation rather than valuable content. Let’s refocus efforts on creating meaningful and informative content for your audience.
@@25mL it's a pretty important topic if it's being used to manipulate the outcomes of the game
Until the whale mafia ruins your server, if they havent alr3ady. You may notbknow if you dont understand how important this issue is.
if you stop someones blessed reign they will stop yours, then everyone loses. Once all the whales clans get a cape things will get a lot more interesting. One point that was missed and arguably the biggest is whales don't want reigns to flip because it messes with your buffs in battlegrounds. Once you have your cape most would prefer the reign never changes to keep the max buff. Endgame isn't the immortal war, it's battlegrounds. War is a necessity not necessarily what is desired.
Being immortal is also MUCH easier, and far less work from the leadership. For context this requires a team of folks to gather every players CR and RES (updated weekly) managing availability of who can show up and who can't make it. You also need to do this for all the opposing clans so that you can correctly match power to make sure you can assign the players (and the associated power level) to insure you win your fights. There is hours and hour many more hours of planning, data entry to keep yourself in the top 6.
