The updated version of Super Mario Land DX feels great. It gives the best of both worlds. Some people like the new version and some people like the old version. It's a great hack in my opinion.

The Old version of Mario and Luigi looking like NES Version of Super Mario Bros, but for Luigi is looking like SMB Deluxe from Gameboy Color.

You can try it on Gambatte core on RetroArch, also make sure that you patched it right properly.
