1) Because it's easier to see through black than white. 2) Yes, a lot, I don't recommend machine sewing the face pieces at all, only the back of the head.

Rex is possibly my all-time favorite furry! He's had much time put in and it was probably scary removing the fur.

I wouldn't recommend it since the glued seams would be noticeable but you can do with whatever you please ^^
