Definitely the most emotional Knocked Loose song, but dear god this is one of their best songs EVER
While I don't disagree with this, I would say that their track *Permanent* could compete for most emotional KL song, at least lyrically. That track really hits the soul.

The sample "why'd you leave" gets me every time, then the sample at the end as well. This song hits hard.
@@thegameslave2 Permanent really is a very emotional track, but I think Sit & Mourn gets the title when you know that Bryan's grandma passed out recently. The song manages to get even heavier.

My dad died suddenly about 9 months ago. I didn’t know I was looking for this song but it’s chilling how it found me when I needed it most. If you’ve ever felt like a song was written specifically for you, that’s exactly how this feels for me. Every line is so perfectly fitting. It’s so intense and heavy yet sooo overwhelmingly emotional. Thank you knocked loose for this incredible gift you’ve given me.

I’d like to preface this by saying this is my favorite album of the year, but dear god, that outro is just… otherworldly. I cannot get enough of it. It’s one of my favorite musical pieces in years, and I’m not quite sure why. It’s simple, but it just resonates on all the right frequencies

This track just brings an emotion to the surface that is very hard to describe, but you know what it is when you feel it.
“This life can be way too much” is such a real statement. It’s something I think everyone relates to at some point

The instrumentals from 1:53 until 2:27 are so disgustingly heavy, but also bring forward such raw emotion. Greatest section of the album in my opinion.
It strongly reminds me of the Downfall Of Gaia's Suffocating in the Swarm of Cranes opening track [Vulnus], which truly hit me hard. This hits way harder.
One of their best riffs hands down. Im a sucker for the simple but extremely well done riffs. It makes it sound beyond heavy

I thought it was too short at first but honestly its perfect from start to finish so maybe less is more.

I never would’ve imagined Knocked Loose would’ve thrown in some post rock influence to their sound. And it ended up being one of the best moments in their discography so far.
Very fitting title for this song as my dear Grandmother passed away this day two years ago. Lit a candle for her.

This is so good. Haunting, sad, and beautiful all at the same time. I heard Bryan say there were some Gojira influences when they were writing and it shows here. Stellar closer.
God damn, this album is crushing in so many different ways. Incredible record...
One of the best metal songs I've ever listened to. YWGBYST is filled with so much intensity, and to cap it off with something full of emotion like Sit & Mourn, a song that can't have more than 100 words, but makes you feel grief, sadness, loss, etc., as if it was a full album while still keeping the same intensity just goes to show the limitless ability these dudes have. Legitimately one of my favorite albums of all-time, and every time I listen to it or watch a reaction video, I find something else that enhances those feelings.

It brings me so much joy that they’re trying to be experimental in ways that also express these kinds of emotions, Permanent was my favorite track by them until this record dropped, now it’s this one. I hope they continue making tracks like this, I think it absolutely hits home with a large demographic of their fanbase, it’s beautiful and agonizing all at the same time. “Why did you leave” fucking sent me
