  • We rebuilt our #demon #Carburetor.
It's pretty much the exact same as a #Holley.
    Also say hi to Greg.

Hey guys if you're worried about your Holley gaskets tearing all you have to do is take a tube of chap stik and run it over the gaskets.....believe it or not it works, learned that in Hot Rod years ago, keep up the good work dude and " let's go Brandon and let's go Junkyard Jet 👍👍👍👍👍✅✅✅✅✅

Guitar strings are good for cleaning jet's and things, you can choose between sizes - electric guitar string set comes with 6 wtrings so you can choose the size. Good video!

They’re also great for tuning your idle feed circuit. Sticking one in each IFR cures the rich low speed cruise situation Holley’s are known for. I know some use them to tune their power valve mixture also

Another great video, even though I don't agree with several of the anti Holley comments made. Two tips when working on them.#1 when replacing the needle and seat I always put a small dab of grease on the rubber O ring that seals the needle and seat to the float bowl to prevent damaging the O ring.#2 I always keep chap stick in my Holley "box" to coat the metering & float bowl gaskets so they won't stick.Chances are,if you stay into cars, as you get older you'll realize the superior performance design of a Holley over an Eldebrock. Not saying Eldebrock is a bad carb, but the next time you go to the track, take note how many you see of each. There's a reason.

Oh I know there’s a reason. I used Holley carbs until I met Tony. The Holley is the right choice for our intentions, no doubt.

@@DaddysMoneyGarage I have nothing but great experience with Holley carbs. I have a 4160 600 CFM on my 79 D-150 with a cast iron NON-egr intake and headers on the stock 318, it runs great. When I had to drive it back in forth to work, mine got 16 MPG at 60 mph. So don't sell the Holley short, so it can be a great street carb as well as long as you have it tuned right.

Edelbrock is a decent street carb but when it comes to performance nothing beats a holley. People who call holley junk are just people who don't understand them or know how to tune one

You’re not wrong admittedly. I’ve been watching the latest roadkill garage. The tune of the crusher impala and boy it’s so informative. I wish I’d seen this in 1985 or 86 when I was trying to tune the Holley as a teenager with no equipment or spare jets, power valves, or mentor. Never too late to learn, im having a blast with all of this!

Hey guys the first thing is to make sure you know for shure what carb. You have. 2 call your carb maker. Ask questions. Demon carbs are made in Georgia. (Good guys) They will tell you exactly what you need many universal rebuild kits have almost right gaskets and parts that's not good enough. Also read the paper work first take a lot of pictures don't force anything work in a CLEAN AREA!!! take your time. A spec. Sheet is there for a reason close is not close enough BTY if you can find a shop with an ultrasonic clean machine that's the way to go....a GOOD rebuild can be as good or better than brand new attention to detail is the KEY

Another suggestion is to use a magnetic tray, cake pan, or a cookie sheet for carb parts. That should help to keep any parts from escaping. Also, for tight screws, I recommend a hand impact driver. They look like an all steel screwdriver. What you do is strike the end of the driver while placing a slight amount of turning pressure on the driver. The literal impact of the hammer drives the tool into the screw while applying impact turning torque. This way will break screws loose without stripping the head of the screw.
