The two which stand out for me from my 1970s childhood were the Hercules with Bloodhound set, and the 1:24 jump jet. Both were simply unobtainable due to their cost but I would love just looking at them in the catalogue.
Fort Sahara, Sherwood Castle and their figure sets (Arabs, French Foreign Legion, Sheriff of Nottingham and Robin Hood) were difficult to find in Belgium, at least I have never seen those except the Foreign Legion. I obtained the 1/72 Forward Command Post and some of those Atlantic Wall defences.
Fort Sahara more Beau Geste than Lawrence but a nice selection there. That picture of the SOVIET rocket _separating_ always intrigued me; Airfix had great pictures.
As a kid growing up in the ‘70s, I was gutted that I never got the Vostok rocket! Got the Saturn V a few times but never the Vostok, never available in model shops in Brighton! Traumatised to this day….

Great vid, good choices! Definitely Fort Sahara. Even some of the more exotic WW2 vehicles were hard to come by, living in Gloucestershire in the 70s.

Dreary 70s are you insane, they were the best days of my life.
LOL! Me too but due to the 3 day weeks we often didn't have a lot of money.
I had the Braniff Big Orange . Saw it flying high over where i live regularly
I would like to have seen that! Thanks

Yes many of those emotive pictures were painted by Roy Cross
