Hi Liz, that smaller bowl is the base of the punch bowl. My punch bowl is made with a smaller bowl to use as a base or use the small bowl for pretzels etc.

Juliane Serr great idea although I think thrifting is luck of the draw..there’s no real formula you have to look for things that you’re drawn too. I’ve been buying vintage for so many years that I learned quite a bit by researching. And thank you for the sweet compliment lovely, I appreciate you watching! 🤍

What a find! You scored really pretty unique pieces! I love going thrifting, because there’s a lot of unusual items that are hard to find nowadays, and it’s just different from store bought. I am in love with your pottery pieces❤️ I went thrift shopping yesterday to see what kind of treasures I could find. I found a lot of pottery, and I automatically loaded my cart 😂. I am currently making some changes around my home, and I am waiting for some shelves and new couches, and I am beyond excited, because when I went thrifting I found the most beautiful pottery that compliments my aesthetic.
Your first piece of pottery looks to be a hand thrown stoneware piece. Often in hand crafted pottery the crazing occurs when the piece is pulled from the kiln with out allowing it to cool down gradually. Crazing is not always a sigh of age. Weight is also not a factor it depends on the potter.
