    I just started my own LLC and am 2 weeks into doing my fulltime job and my own consulting firm and I’ve already landed enough contracts to quit my job if I wanted to. It’s hard to make the final jump but it’s so amazingly rewarding. I do similar consulting with a different software

    Yes you can make a lot if you stack up C2C contracts. Most of these contracts pay $100-$150 USD an hour so if you work 50-60 hours a week, it's not tough to clear $350k USD. Plus you can set your schedule, you can work from anywhere in the WORLD that you want since you own your own company and no big 4 lawyers are monitoring your IP address for tax liabilities outside of your country and you can take as much time off as you want for as long as you want. The main disadvantage is you are forced to become a sales person as well and make sure you have work lined up. Still it's worth the good money and freedom that running your own business affords. It feels good that you see a much larger piece of the pie than the measly 1/3rd of your billable rate that you get if you work for an implementation firm.

    I've set my own company to work as a consultant/contractor, I'm from South America and I've being enjoying so far, I only have one client till now =P, but I'm trying to think broader, also in my experience being an independent contractor fits well with the flexibility I want in a job, they expect me to deliver but I don't get micromanaged like being required to be online all the time, also in my contract it is expected me to answer to the client in 2 hours, which is good, I don't need to get into despair to fill the demands.
    Thanks for the content.

    Hello, about your inconvenient problem with your lap tops... there are software's and cables you can install that will allow one mouse to control both computers at the same time. you literally just drag the mouse to the very edge of the screen and the clicker(arrow) will slide to the other lap top. It will be like working with one computer but separate files

    I'm curious how you can finish work in the early afternoon but you are booking 40 hours a week with 1 of your clients

    • @Tejas2148
      @Tejas2148 2 года назад +3

      It’s usually a fixed 40 every week. Some weeks go over, some under, you just bill 40 bc the expectation is they can reach you at any time of day whenever

    How do you find projects? I read you mostly work within other consultants, so I was wondering if there was a website or so you guys get to know each other and project opportunities, or it is all you personal networking.

    Hi Mahdi, thank you for another interesting video! Personal question: have you received your Canadian citizenship already? Because if a person is on PR status, they must stay in Canada for some time to be qualified for citizenship later.

    • @independentconsultant
      @independentconsultant  2 года назад

      Yep I am a Canadian citizen! But even with PR I believe you need stay X number of days in Canada to qualify - so you can still go somewhere for a period of time for vacation or work from there
