I just started my own LLC and am 2 weeks into doing my fulltime job and my own consulting firm and I’ve already landed enough contracts to quit my job if I wanted to. It’s hard to make the final jump but it’s so amazingly rewarding. I do similar consulting with a different software
Same here, working on Oracle. Feels like I am going to take a deep breathe and start my own freelancer journey
Yes you can make a lot if you stack up C2C contracts. Most of these contracts pay $100-$150 USD an hour so if you work 50-60 hours a week, it's not tough to clear $350k USD. Plus you can set your schedule, you can work from anywhere in the WORLD that you want since you own your own company and no big 4 lawyers are monitoring your IP address for tax liabilities outside of your country and you can take as much time off as you want for as long as you want. The main disadvantage is you are forced to become a sales person as well and make sure you have work lined up. Still it's worth the good money and freedom that running your own business affords. It feels good that you see a much larger piece of the pie than the measly 1/3rd of your billable rate that you get if you work for an implementation firm.
Yeah bro! Went independent for all the reasons you mentioned! Are you independent too?
I hate where currently live still studying fighting every day with this toxic area, went just one to south america and everything felt great. Of course different kind of life, safety etc. but it felt, like burden did fell from my shoulders. I´hope once i will be able to live atleast partly like you
Can you make some content explaining how you prospect your clients?
Finally a new Video!!! Love it man. Great Video and it's great talking to you on LinkedIn. Greetings from Germany.
I've set my own company to work as a consultant/contractor, I'm from South America and I've being enjoying so far, I only have one client till now =P, but I'm trying to think broader, also in my experience being an independent contractor fits well with the flexibility I want in a job, they expect me to deliver but I don't get micromanaged like being required to be online all the time, also in my contract it is expected me to answer to the client in 2 hours, which is good, I don't need to get into despair to fill the demands.
Thanks for the content.
He's finally back👐👐 we missed you 😍
Appreciate it my man!
Awesome video! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thanks Victor!
Thank you for this advice! I'm looking to make 100k-200k plus annually, is this possible with freelance consulting? Also love the channel name, its very clever.
How do you price your client's projects?
can you do a video on the salary difference between being employed vs independent?
Hello, about your inconvenient problem with your lap tops... there are software's and cables you can install that will allow one mouse to control both computers at the same time. you literally just drag the mouse to the very edge of the screen and the clicker(arrow) will slide to the other lap top. It will be like working with one computer but separate files
Incredible content as always! Did you get a drone?
My man!! No I actually had a private plane, and flew around Mexico to film everything
(Hahahaha yes I have a drone)

I'm curious how you can finish work in the early afternoon but you are booking 40 hours a week with 1 of your clients
It’s usually a fixed 40 every week. Some weeks go over, some under, you just bill 40 bc the expectation is they can reach you at any time of day whenever
@@Tejas2148so they pay you the equivalent of 40 hours of work a week even if you only worked 20 that week because they only needed you for 20 hours of work that week?
@@Mster_Jcorrect
How do you find projects? I read you mostly work within other consultants, so I was wondering if there was a website or so you guys get to know each other and project opportunities, or it is all you personal networking.
Currently building my website to do this Sem! Right now it's only my personal network
@@independentconsultant Amazing! I'm in a big4 consulting trying to find a plan to go independent at some point. I appreciate that you share your experience. Would be cool to have a video on the "get a client" topic :)
Hi Mahdi, thank you for another interesting video! Personal question: have you received your Canadian citizenship already? Because if a person is on PR status, they must stay in Canada for some time to be qualified for citizenship later.
Yep I am a Canadian citizen! But even with PR I believe you need stay X number of days in Canada to qualify - so you can still go somewhere for a period of time for vacation or work from there
@@independentconsultant thank you, Mahdi!
Do you usually work alot with other consultants on implementation projects? Or are project teams more like yourself plus a number of client employees?
Yep, I always work with other consultants
What country are you in now?
Im back in Canada, but I was in Mexico, Algeria, Saudi then Dubai
@@independentconsultant sounds fun!
Be careful. You're about to drop your laptop in the pool 🤯
I struggled to get that pic
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
