i feel like most of these commenters dont get it
It's amazing how many people dislike these films because "they're unrealistic". Like yeah, that's the point! They are good because they're not supposed to be taken seriously. But I guess some people can't appreciate that.
I've never liked the F&F movies. I tried to watch the first one or maybe the second, but the whole "driving saves the day" motif was just too much BS for me from the start, so I've avoided them. Well, that and the entire hyper-masculine, misogynistic, thick skulled sort of "and then I beat up all the bad guys and everyone clapped" mentality, thing.
Anyway, listening to you guys talk about these things, jumping from preposterous scenario to preposterous scenario, each independently senseless and even senseless in context, only reinforces that I don't actually need to watch them. Thank you.
