@CaffeinatedDad I've watched a few videos that have done some deeper examination. One stated that the closed Beta test was looking into correcting things with how guns function. I don't know how long ago this was however.
I would love this but the forced pvp make this game a no go area for me, The reason for this is clear they dont want to pay for the servers so they are trying to force everyone into the same few servers and for a pve player who just wants to play the game without a bunch of idiots ruining it for us having thousands of hours and many dlc on conan they are clearly trying to be smart but it wont work. This is just a forced pvp game pretending to be friendly to pve.
Perhaps, but this is a large game and if there's going to be continued service it wouldn't be far fetched to see there choice for monetization. Perhaps optional? But hey it's not in my hands!

EVE online 's monetizzation system is the best: you can play for free but youre limited in waht you can do, you can pay subscription with real life money.... or you can pay for subscriprion giving in game money to players who basically payed a subscription for you with real money, all that is made with ingame systems and markets. In dune it would be someting like you can pay X ammaunt of real money to get a "special kidnd of spice" or "the water of life" or someting that you can than sell for alot of solari (ingame currency).consuming that item give you then acces to 1 month of subscription. It cannot be normal spice as this item existence MUST be linked to a real money transaction twoard the game and must not be obtainable in game.
I'd like to see cryptocurrency integrated in this game and allow an open trading systems like we see in GUILD WARS 2 and being able to store that crypto into cold wallets if we chose to. I would like to see players have the option to select any of the great houses they choose to be a part of and also offer the chance to start your own great house if certain requirements are met. I would like to see weekly or monthly events held which will allows guilds to compete amongst each other and build a reputation among the guilded communities through sheer force victories. You can't imagine the feeling a player gets when one receives recognition without decoration. They will remember my name...
I’m curious to see how they’re going to balance out the PVP, and not let it become so toxic that it turns people away. Im curious about the game and feel like diving into PVP can be fun and immersive. But a__holes always tend to ruin my PVP experience
A criminal system would only be okay, if you were seen stealing a vehicle, or seen with the stolen vehicle.. I hate it when everyone magically knows that it was you..
I think it's cool it's based off Dune but I hope with time, it breaks away a little and stands alone as a game with its own identity. Dune elements mixed with different creative ideas.

Unfortunately I cannot speak to Conan as I have no experience in it. It seems to be more weight behind the game because of the success of the movies so perhaps they will have heightened focus on its development. I had heard that Conan had some turbulence through its development
It's Funcom. As someone who has a long history with the company and their games, especially Conan Exiles. I'm here to tell you. Don't support this game. Don't support these devs. They spend more time breaking their games than anything else. They spend more time removing what was popular, and investing in things the community as a whole didn't ask for. And if Conan has taught me anything. Anything official will be 1,000% toxic. While sure this game looks like something that'd be right up my alley. I've been burned and spurned by Funcom to actually continue to support them as a studio or dev team.
I'm cautiously optimistic. I believe there is lots of things that are a question mark. Simply put I'm hoping for something good but not getting my hope super high
the potentiality for dune is massive ... including space exploration etc. This could be the eve online with walking on planets everyone has always wanted.
Well you're commenting about a "survival mmo" so I'm not sure why you're here besides to complain lol, but that being said conan exiles had single player, a game like this is not nearly as complete playing by yourself but it could happen here too
Here is what I fore see happening. Not that I am anyone special, but.. so people can build their huge sandcastles without being knocked over.. cool. That’s cool. But, just like any other pve game, they get bored after they have satisfied their want to build something huge, then move on to another game. Like, valhiem. Where did all the hype go? Gone. Pvp is obviously the more popular choice in “survival” titles. Rust dayz scum, all great games. Like how single player games, you beat the final boss, and most people just don’t come back. Anyone inside the shield probably doesn’t like pvp, so anything that goes out outside, they won’t be a part of. So all that’s left are pvpers. But not even sure about that, because as far as survival pvp, rust is the king of that genre, there is something about being able to base raid, and get loot that just doesn’t get old to pvpers. It’s replayable and exciting. This game won’t really have a lot of that. And it sounds like the pve dudes will pretty much have the same success without doing anything pvp, so that’s kinda lame, pvpers like thrill of survival in player conflict. Sure some people play simple games like call of duty for quick pvp. This game is a survival game. We already have a king of that genre. Probably always will be for the foreseeable future. So to say that people don’t like that gameplay is Ignorant if you look up the charts to see how many players that game has even to this day. Facts are facts. This game sounds like a jack of all trades, but a master of none. It’s really hard to please a pve crowd, and a pvp at the same time. Safe zones suck. If they just had a military just guarding a certain area, but still not impossible to do some shenanigans, that would be cool. Have the players a bounty on their head or something that keeps balance in a higher security area. Like eve online, for example, in high security space, you do something wrong there, concord comes after you. But, pve people always act toxic towards pvp people and use personal insults towards them rather than just letting them play how they want to without saying things like, they are horrible people. It’s pixels for crying out loud.
"Jack of all trades is a master of none but oftentimes better than a master of one" I fixed it for you, also how is variety of gameplay bad? It caters equally to pve, and pvp players, and even players who just wanna craft and sell their wares, seems like a win win for everyone to me. Forced pvp just means you'll have pvp players fighting people who wanna play the game but don't love pvp and causing frustration for everyone. Separating that ensures the pvp players as well as the pve ones can play how they want optimally.
Respectfully I see your point, erring pve and pvp in the same game without favoritism has been difficult in psst mmos. I look at the open world pvp in wow for war mode where it was mostly people not playing war mode because they didn't want to get ranked. It's going to be a balance for sure
@@GrimViridianpvp in a pve setting tends to be much more shallow than games like, rust, scum, dayz, tarkov etc etc. survival mmos, for pvp players means huge losses, as well as huge wins. That’s why we play them. Because winning against players and getting loot feels better than beating a final boss in a pve game, and players give you better content than any AI ever could. Putting both together in one game just makes it just kinda shallow. And in alot of games, loss drives an economy. People buy what they loss, meaning crafters stay in business. Albion, and eve online are two examples. It’s hard to put the two together. If they pull it off, great. But pvp in survival games isn’t just running around an arena shooting each other like call of duty, that’s not what survival pvp players are looking for. Rust, dayz, and tarkov have really set the standard in this genre for what brings excitement to it all. Putting in a system where pve thrives equally kind of takes away the thunder pvp has. It just doesn’t work. You like pve, that’s fine. I don’t. One thing about pvp is it’s replayable for years. Pve games kinda just fade because the content is limited. Players are our bosses in pvp, their loot is our loot chests after the boss is beaten.
@@CaffeinatedDad I appreciate it, if they make it all work together great, cool. Involving pve players into the war/political setting would just make the game feel more alive, rather than them just sitting in a safe zone building their castles, unaffected by the powers that be. It’s a vibe ruiner, in my opinion. Dune stories have no safe zones. Just because a house doesn’t want to get attacked, doesn’t mean they don’t l. It’s part of a story. I get that some people just don’t want to pvp, but to actually have mechanics in the game that places a hard barrier between the two is just a bad taste, in my opinion. Especially when the safe zones offer the same content all the way to end game
Yes but not immediately its apparently going to take some time learn after contacting and working with the Fremen. They mention a book that you can learn the ability but your not going to be good at it at first.
they NEED to show melee fight to get me, integral part of DUNE is the close combat
Yes! I know the beta testers are under an NDA so they can't show anything yet but I need to know the melee components!
But is there nudity ? :)))
The more I hear the more excited I get. Even if the heavy pvp focus makes me a bit anxious.
It seems like there are pvp specific areas but they did confirm you can play and not do pvp!

Yeah but if you have dragon flight in conan then this map was looked not so large yeah? But in dune everybody gonna have fly
I'm thinking that it could be specific spots. Perhaps the sandstorm is too rough in certain sections that prevent orinithipter flight
But will there be sandwalking?
Yes but not immediately its apparently going to take some time learn after contacting and working with the Fremen. They mention a book that you can learn the ability but your not going to be good at it at first.
@@CaffeinatedDad What interview is that mentioned in? Would you be able to put source in the description?
@felixhaggblom7562 it is in the description! Interview was done with WCCTech!
