Trez is a great scout in the game tho. A few years ago i always signed Stéphane Chapuisat (i dont know how famous he is, i know him because he played bundesliga for the entire 90s) because he had high values and a ridiclous amount of "known" countries from South America, over Europe to Africa. Then from one FM to another (21 to 22 OR 22 to 23) he lost all his knowledge about any country but Switzerland. I imagine he proclaimed to never leave this big rock again haha
I did the "hire a famous player as a coach" thing by accident, I needed a new goalkeeping coach and just chose the best option without looking at the name, it was only when I had to confirm the signing and noticed his last name "Mignolet" and I was like, hold on a minute.
In my greatest ever FM save i signed "René Higuita" as a GK coach around the year 2025. About a decade later i looked over my staff and had a hard think to myself "Damn, you know that name" - i googled him and realized that my goalkeepers where trained my EL LOCO for the past decade. I was proud.
Video idea: pick a list of players from clubs around your home area (to keep it simple), and scout them, ranking their skills the same way theyre ranked in FM, and then compare your judgement with what FM gave these players. Bonus points if you can go watch them live during games or training (hence the local only idea), with RUclips highlights or game recordings being a secondary source.
I'm pretty sure "striking the corner-flag for a bounce" is a Flair move that was added into FM24. Seen it myself a couple of times from players that liked to do tricks.
I used to love signing kevin grobkeutz in the early 2010s. The man sat on my bench for years just covering every position on the pitch so i could have five attackers on the bench with him
About the one with the 2 very deep shadow strikers, originally they were central midfielders with regular central midfielder roles, then his assistant manager suggested for him to change one of them to a shadow striker and it changed the role but not the position and he did the same thing for the other player as well
The line for bullying is 5 goals in the first half, after that you are allowed a maximum of 2 more if you let the opponent also get one in the second half
First off: I actually worked for a number of years with someone named Loan. So that's been a name for a while now. And with the ref-kit glitch: That just made me think of the Fumble Dimension NBA2K glitch where at the end of the season, no matter what, there would be a player wearing a Detroit Pistons jersey in the trophy ceremony.
Technically the Luan Candido slide was correct. He is under contract with RB Leipzig and just loaned out. So technically he is a player of a German club
I'm the guy made that meme and in my save file, he was at a Brazilian club permanently, no loan. I was very confused but clearly there is some small glitch in my file or the game because he is technically based in Germany in my game while playing for a Brazilian team
I remember when I finally found CR7 a few years after he retied at ManUtd. He became manager for Milan almost immediately after they sacked their last manager and he won them a Serie A, Copa Italia, and a Super Copa before being sacked and moving to Leverkeusen, winning a DFB-Pokal and a Supercup but always staying at 2nd place behind Bayern.
After seeing the jumping reach meme, I have to say this. I'm playing as Lugano and Roberts Uldrikis from Latvia actually has 20 with 16 heading. Real player by the way and doesn't cost much, but bangs 20 goals a season. Enjoy
To answer the last question as well. That's the pass map, not the average position graph. That's just where your striker is for the majority of the passes he makes.
That happened to me with the goalkeeper with 1 on the books mostly as the team i took over had an annual wage budget of £600 and it was full when i got there. I did sign a keeper who wanted £20 an appearance but settled for £1 as it was all i could offer. Would have been better putting a post in goals. Added an edit for the shout-out to the saudis robbing us props to the knowledge!
I've bought the new FM for the first time since FM20. I was memebly surprised when I saw that in some stadiums, I can still have the floodlights be directly in front of the camera so I don't see the action on the pitch.
Newcastle Fan here, considering our injury list seems to be continuously growing, could you make a save using purely our injury list as a starting 11 and see how far you can push them through the league 👍👍
The visual glitch at the 7th minute has nothing to do with the pc/laptop specs, and happened regularly for a lot of players SI have claimed they fixed it in the most recent patch
Managing my club, Arsenal, and I've managed to sign Henry, Bergkamp, Dida and David Trezeguet, plus a few others I can't remember, to my staff. Mid-2000s vibe sessions at training 👌😂
I tried approaching Micah Richards when in my save, he was assistant coach for Weymouth. Couldn’t get him though for my crested club, Bloomfield United.
Me in FM22 when I signed Mandzukic as my first team coach for Gloucester all the way down in the Vanorama National League He grew along with the level of the club nicely tho, he always was a good coach for me haha
Real world showed me that have no Sub-Keeper on the bench does work since i am a lowleague coach as well. But yes... A brutal way to learn about new, cool gameplay features.
Having literally just hired Zlatan Ibrahimovich and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as my coaches for Ligue 2 St Ettiene, I feel personally attacked 😂. I couldn't afford Roy Keane, he wanted too much money 😢
Literary a few hours ago I signed Zlatan for Torino in my journeyman save as the AssMan. His attributes aren’t good enough for the position, but having a former Juve star player in Torino is just too good to pass up.
Luckily in my Man U rebuild, Onana got injured but i was up 3-0, so Mount had to play SK, actually did good and saved a shot, won 3-0! Now i keep a backup GK. We got 9 subs now anyways.
after 4 promotions in a row, I'm having a bad season, we've drawn or lost 11/12 games, and we had better xG in ALL OF THEM. Considerably better xG too, like 1-2xG better per game, it's kind of hilarious. My strikers can't score and my goalie can't save. I need FM memes!!!! Oh, and despite my keeper getting injured, I still don't have a spare on the bench, it's so rare that it's just not worth it.
never happened in fm24, but in 23 I played against brighton and Lewis Dunk in reff shirt only till I realised every Brighton players were wearing the reff shirt and Dunk is the sole player with Brighton jersey 😅😅 10:22
nah i have been TRAUMATIZED by injured goalkeepers, i have never had a bench without a gk since fm2013. Ben Foster's broken ankle lives rent free in my head.
Ok, am I the only one thinking his whole loans strategy is basically exploiting a game and more of the fitting into meta than actually having fun playing the game?
1) the answer to has bayern won this - is always yes. Champions league, dfp pokal, Peace nobel price - yes. 2) Kevin Großkreutz was the best football player, how don't you know him? 😅
The disallowed goals hat-trick thing would 100% happen to Alvaro Morata.
It already did, he once had 3 goals disallowed in a game due to being offside
LOL 😂 I am the one who posted this to the subreddit
@@adrian225 was vs Barca right?
@@jorregritter3669 yes it was
happened to Son last match too lmao
Großkreuz really was in Goal for the last few minutes of a match against Hoffenheim when his keeper Weidenfeller got sent off.
Clean sheet?
@@aceholepictures Nope, Weidenfeller got sent off and a penalty against them. The penalty went in
Whilst I was laughing at that meme about signing retired players as staff...I was signing David Trezeguet as a scout. Lol.
And he is one of the best scouts in the game
Trezeguet is a decent scout, so that worked out well ha ha
Trez is a great scout in the game tho.

Van persie does well too
In my greatest ever FM save i signed "René Higuita" as a GK coach around the year 2025.
About a decade later i looked over my staff and had a hard think to myself
"Damn, you know that name" - i googled him and realized that my goalkeepers where trained my EL LOCO for the past decade.

In FM19 I had about 6-7 legendary players as staff. Bergkamp was one of them. Cristiano Ronaldo was my assistant😂.
The line where it becomes bullying isn't at 6x0. It is at 7x1.
I would love to see the FM version of Jorge Campos - a former striker and goalkeeper simultaneously, one of the best in both roles. Very eccentric.
Video idea: pick a list of players from clubs around your home area (to keep it simple), and scout them, ranking their skills the same way theyre ranked in FM, and then compare your judgement with what FM gave these players. Noah Atobulu is a gem... love to see him every week...

I have a CB with 20 jumping reach in my danish save. 2.04m tall. It's always a scene to behold when he awaits a corner. 😂

8:17 Stats, Zealand? Go directly to FM jail. Do not pass Go. Do not collect your next Wonderkid.
Pogba with 16 determination and people management and 20 motivating? I think SI missed the mark on that one
After seeing the jumping reach meme, I have to say this. I'm playing as Lugano and Roberts Uldrikis from Latvia actually has 20 with 16 heading. Real player by the way and doesn't cost much, but bangs 20 goals a season. Enjoy

I had had Darwin Nuñez score 9 goals the other day, but 6 of them were called off for Offside 💀
Sometimes FM is too perfect to not be controlled by some eldrich football entity
I had Luka Modric as assistent for so many years in fm23! ❤
Yay! I've missed these. Was checking out the old stuff yesterday because I had the itch.
1:24 Meanwhile, that exact same goalkeeper for my HSV: Played so badly at one point he was off the chart for advanced goalkeeping
„5:0 could have been a competitive game“ Lewandowski just sitting there after 9 min
6:48 this is all about luck: he should have scored only 11 goals!! How could you not see that luck gifted him 11 more goals 😂

That assistant manager thing is totally not calling me out for CR7 retiring to replace Micheal Carrick.
Definitely not.
How dare you suggest otherwise
new challenge: can't finish the save until entire starting 11 is named loan

That Charlie Sloth bit was incredible
Perfect video for a boring friday evening.

The irony of Loan Walraevens being unavailable for loan
I've ALWAYS had a goalkeeper on the bench, ever since I started playing CM in 1998. Feeling quite smug in FM24
Zealand video lets go. I predict a banger
Celtic fan the sheer terror in rangers twitters on FM when larsson gets announced as my AM 😂😂

I have never, in my 25+ years of playing C/FM, knowingly taken the field without a reserve goalkeeper, provided they weren't all injured.

the Darwin Nunez reference had me howling

As a lifelong Toon fan... yeah...
Hey Zealand. Newgan isn’t working after the latest FM update. Will you be looking into this and posting video on how to resolve?
I use the editor simply to find the best retired players turned staff members… I want them good, but fun too
