Added some foam on the top and bottom of the phone mount, kept the throttle fairly low, shot during golden hour (if it’s too bright you’ll need an ND filter) and I tuned the drone so it would oscillate less with throttle (but this made it fly less accurately). Hope this helps 🤙
@@ChaddRainsFPV 17.2 there is a viewer like device out that will let you see the footage in 3D. I'm about to bail on Android and get an iPhone to get started with spacial video before the VisionPro comes out.
@@ChaddRainsFPV I want to record 3D spacial video from a drone. I think it would be an amazing experience on the VisionPro and I've not seen any drone makers that will record what the iPhone and VisionPro will be able to capture. Thus my wanting to strap an iPhone to a drone
Man I didn't even know an iPhone 15 existed haha. That's pretty damn awesome though.. I'd love to one day be able to capture such video via drone but right now I still need to just learn it first. Was thinking about trying a cinewhoop or something. When people talk about tuning drones and stuff I didn't realize there was actually PID going on with the FC to that extent. What happened with the crash though, did it tag a little bit of 'shrubbery' or something or was that like a PID glitch? I also didn't realize the jello was actually so prevalent, I thought it was just a thing that happened when something was wrong with a rig like loose camera parts etc. The footage at the end looked great though.. could probably even use the "find my phone" app as a backup locator lol.
Yup, some of the shrubbery got me 💀 No damage though. It’s just what I get for trying to thread the needle with a detuned drone lol. You’d love a sub 250g 3.5” drone my dude. Cinewhoops are cool if you’re flying inside or chasing talent and need to lift a GoPro, but a light 3.5” is a rocket and most are super durable 🤙
@@ChaddRainsFPV Man I'm just not sure how to go with it.. straight to DJI like I wish I'd done or try a cheaper 3.5 inch I can just out completed to learn with. Still no idea on a transmitter though. Would be great if it was something I could one and done that also took crossfire.
@@MagneticitistHonestly I’d grab the radiomaster Boxer for $130 and just practice on the sim for a bit. If you’re hooked, grab an AOS 3.5 from iFlight and slap your crossfire module in the Boxer (or run ELRS since the boxer has that built in). If you figure out it’s not for you on the sim, the radio is an easy sell for $100... $30 ain’t bad to test drive FPV drones 🤙
@@ChaddRainsFPV I forgot about the sim that's a great idea. Boxer looks good enough for me. That's awesome though, I can basically practice flying that way without crashing and losing stuff.
@@ChaddRainsFPV Dang bro you were right that Boxer is a nice radio.. got one already. I can see I have a lot to get used to compared to twirling a wheel and pressing a throttle.. what would you recommend as the best sim though? There are way more than I thought.
I did one attempt on a Protek35 and was like oh hell no this thing will wash out on 5mph turn hahaha. Plus those vibrations from whoops just kill the footage 🤙
haha hell yeah man! amazing stuff! what a freaking incredible drone...
Appreciate you bro hahahah
I think this will be really important when the Apple Vison Pro soon gets released. But it will need to be filmed in landscape mode.
How did you mount the phone?
You never disappoint...
Was that a apple lap top I saw in your trash. That's the perfect spot for it.
Lmfao
Interesting !!!
How did you solve jelly effect?

Have you tried spacial video with the new firmware?
I have not! Is this on 17.1.1??

Nice to see that they stepped iPhone internal memory to 1tb!
It’s nice to be able to dump all the footage onto an SSD now too. Finally done with that lightning cable lol

why is no one talking about that house in 2:22????!!!
The Stark Real Estate Team loaned me the house to film at, it’s not mine 😂🤙
Lol, Mac book in the trash!
