I'm at a loss for words, it's so unbelievably brilliant, emotional, guitar and vocals. I can't stop getting goosebumps. He learned from his father and even surpassed him.
I had the pleasure of being at this gig and not only did the hairs on the back of my neck stand up during this amazing cover, but probably every hair on my body. It was fabulous! I also heard Nick cover Prince's Purple Rain at the Allendale folk festival and was moved to tears. Not many performers create such electricity
I remember Nick as a little boy, backstage at a Roy Harper concert, running around with a hammer in his hand. Judy Sill (the support) was on stage and Nick wanted to hit her with his hammer. Roy said to him "you better not" lol. Ah, the good old days when you could enjoy a spliff at a concert. Nick has turned out to be a great performer.
So true, I've seen Nick play in a room of 50 people and feel truly honoured to be there. A true master of his craft. Cannot wait to see him again soon!
Nick. Haven't heard you for years I'm so sorry to say. Needed some nourishment and for some reason searched your name. What an absolutely sublime rendition of this most excellent song. Ugh. I hope to god(s) that Dave Gilmour has heard this. Best cover version I've ever heard. So yours, but totally faithful to the original. Genius as always. Hugs x
You’ve probably already seen that list of venues he’s playing at in September and October but I thought I’d share it just in case…he’s not performing in Chester on this tour but he’s playing at the Philharmonic Music Room in Liverpool though!

This video has 33K views and I believe at least half of them are mine. The passion and depth of this performance is almost spiritual.

I am not a huge Gilmore fan but have to say this rendition is great personally think it’s better than the original thanks for sharing it
I agree, far more range, soul and character in Nick’s voice for starters.
