Questions. I have a stock American standard… I
Does The tone and the feeling changed?
changes, the HS series have lower output, they are made to be used with overdrive
I find it incredible to hear that sound from single coils.
This sounds like a UFC fight song!!
You sound great! What do you think about the HS3 for the clean sound and how does it blend with the stock pickups in the middle and neck? Thank you
Detona Kaverna! 🤘
Very inspiring shredding! Do you have a link to this backing track?
Thanks man! I don't have anymore! But search for Dopez Backing Track, N&M Creation backing tracks, Null backing tracks, these channels always have good stuff
If you going to test the sound of the pickups id play without any backing tracks so we can hear the tones better
...
Hello my friend, thanks for the video and nice playing. In your opinion what about the noise with this pickups? Thanks for your answer.
it depends on the type of distortion you are going to use, if it is overdrive pushing a crunchy Marshall (not so high gain) there will be 0 noise, but if you use more modern drives (Slipknot style, pantera style...) the noise will appear even with noise gate
I'm putting HS3s and a brass nut in my player series strat as well. It already plays so amazingly well, i'm super excited for the pickups. How is the brass nut? Do you feel any benefit of it over a standard nut in terms of tuning stability or anything else?
Brass nut is the way!! Never had problem with tuning stability after put this nut... the string slides more easily
@@Adriano_Kaverna nice! Thanks for response. Did you have any issues with the nut width or does it just fit perfectly?
Hi! Are these wired as a full humbucking single coil, or in “single coil” mode?
These pickups has two coils, but not parallel but stacked... the sound is very close to a Single, but without hum
@@Adriano_Kavernathanks for answering! I asked because Eric Johnson wires his HS-2 as a regular single coil, without the bottom coil connected, and I read many years ago that YJM did the same with the HS-3.
Also, do you use 250k pots? No tone connected?
Sorry if too many questions, but I just bought a Strat and it’s been years since The las time I had a single coil at the bridge, I use Strats in HSS configuration with Floyd Rose trems, but these new one I want to keep it SSS with the vintage style trem.
Hello!!
Perfect playing from your soul!!
I would like to ask you the HS3/HS4 is your main configuration or was only for the video? And your opinion about YJM fury set because I have on a guitar the HS3's and on the other i am thinking of install the HS3/HS4 or Fury set
Thank you!
Hi Xristos! Thanks, Man! Is my main configuration, the best sound ever! I never try the Fury set man...by video, I think he has more output! For me, hs set is final destination!
Your sound is incredible!!!
I was searching a lot about single coil, mini humbuckers, active, passive pickups and i was burning my brain until i found your videos of your playing and comparison between emg and hs3. With your sound with HS3 you can play everything even extreme metal!
The YJM Fury set is a little hotter and maybe slightly more mids than the Hs set, but it also depends on which guitar they're in. They sounded great on my YJM strat but when I swapped out the stock pickups on my other guitar for the YJMs, I didn't like how they sounded (a little too bassy). The Hs3/4s sound great on both guitars that I've put them on though.
I agree because i heard again and again the yjm fury set and they have a lot of mids. I have an hs3's set on a guitar and it is perfect. But i am wondering if the hs4 on the neck position is different than the hs3
@@xristos000 The Hs4 supposedly has more clarity but in reality the differences are negligible.
*Awwesome playing*
Thank you
Just curious if you have played the Yngwie signature model and what you think about it in comparison to the Player Strat as far as tone wood etc, obviously it has different features. Deciding if I should stick with the Player, get ss frets and change the pickups or try the Yngwie model instead.
I've never seen a fender YJM up close, but i have another guitar with scalloped frets and I love!! Buy a Player Stratocaster and put HS3, you won't need another guitar for a long time
@@Adriano_Kaverna I have to keep coming back to your videos, the playing and tone is so good. I think I'm getting mine refreted they are smashed and dented in just a short time. What size SS fret wire do you have on yours?
What pup do you use in middle position?
I was thinking about pairing this pickup in a charvel's neck with a DiMarzio Super Distortion in bridge position but from what I read it seems lower output and can't keep up with the SD's higher output.
I'd like to hear what you think about it.
no problem using the hs3 or hs4 paired with Super distortion on the bridge, I used this config for a long time! they interact very well
💯
Awesome playing!
I love your playing and the fact that this sound is coming from a Strat - I'm nothing but proud.
Thank-you, for the video - very good work - astounding playing, extraordinary tone!!
Which pickup do you use ?? Original fender player series or yjm fury?
Answear is in movie title
Jesus Christ....what a question.😮
