As I’ve mentioned in previous videos, I’m the proud owner of the S510 tactical in 177 and had it for maybe a year now and I absolutely love it. I’m mainly a Weihrauch man through and through but when this came out I just had to get to Pickering guns and take a look and as soon as I picked it up everything just felt right. The weight and balance for me was just absolutely bang on and I parted with some cash, yes they’re not cheap but you get what you pay for. I have mine paired up with the Sightmark wraith HD and my pellet of choice is Hades and H&N Terminators, but tend to use Terminators when I’m out on the rats and tree rats those Terminators don’t half pack a punch and a well placed headshot just shatters the skull. I have mine zeroed at 35 yards and it’s pellet on pellet sitting and resting, I’m in farm building so perfect conditions with no wind. Would i recommend one, well I definitely would but as Christopher mentioned it’s all down to choice whether you like the tactical look or not. But with this gun you can adjust the stock which locks tight with no movement at all which you can configure to suit your needs whether out in the field or shorten for shooting from a vehicle and for me it’s a no brainer as I do both and the S510 tactical does both. The magazines are easy to fill and the cocking lever is silky smooth too, but my only gripe for the gun is the position of the safety catch which is situated just behind the trigger and I think that an AR type safety catch like the FX impact would have finished the guns looks and to visually see with ease if on safe or fire but maybe Air Arms might address this in the future but this is just my only gripe and maybe not everyone else’s.
Iam impressed. It's great to see real world results. So many people show cherry picked groups that give people false expectations. One hole groups at this distance don't happen everytime. It takes practice and luck. Thanks brother. God bless you. 🇺🇲👍
Took mine too the range today , in the same kind of conditions .. Although mines a .177 , and was using an ATN X-Sight scope on it , which is not the best for target work , my conclusion is , the rifle you are using really needed a barrel clean from the off ( anti rust graphite lined ? ) and re - leading with a preferred pellet .. these to be honest need to be done prior to shooting groups ... you'll find the TR much much more accurate then you've encountered .. and from previous vids I can conclude there's NOTHING wrong with your shooting , indeed its very impressive ... ## should have done the required preparation before group testing though ##
My mates had his since they were released. Its been back to air arms 3 times with faults and im still not sure its fully cured. It shoots alright at 30 yards but at 50 yards were talking 3" groups so not acceptable for a rifle of that price.
It can be quite delicate with how you pull the trigger. Remember 50 yards is a long way for an air rifle. Try using the centre of the pad on the end of your trigger finger. Make sure every shot is pulled a and followed through like that. I had a different rifle with a heavier trigger before. The S510 TR takes a bit of finesse to get used to. But my god, once it’s on, it’s on!
@@j7127 its definitely the gun at fault, got a decent size collection, including 3 other Air arms and no problems there. Just the 510t thats in accurate, unfortunately.
@@xWILZTAxthat's nothing to do with being a T model. He obviously got a bad one which air arms should replace, factory rejects get pased qc in any manufacturing process, it's simply not right to say these are less accurate than any other s510 from air arms because it's the exact same working parts with a different stock and silencer attached. If these are inaccurate then so are all s510's.. but we know thats just not true. Could also be that he's using pellets it doesnt like as well. Theres several things that could cause a poor group at 50 yards i have plenty of guns which will put pellet on pellet at 30 - 35 yards but at 50+ will only group acceptably with VERY specific pellets, everything else which works at closer ranges opens up when the distance is increased.
i have had a 177 one for about a year . 16 mm groups at 50 yards all day long it’s an incredible accurate gun. on a good day you can group even tighter if i am lucky . and i really am not that good a shot🤪🤪
SPOILER ALERT!!! I've only just finished ep.8... 🤦♂Warnings next time, please 😉 Seems like another quality AA production. Initially I wasn't a fan of anything tactical but I've head my head turned by tactical bullpups recently, so much so, I've now got a Krait - excellent. Still not sold on the idea of a tactical 'rifle', much prefer the look of a traditional rifle. Seems to make sense on a bullpup tho 🤷♂ Any way, hope you're keeping well. ATB Rich.
@@southwestshooters It was incredible! As a bit of a TV/film buff, I'm unsure if I can think of a one-off episode of any program that has nailed an entire narrative so beautifully in a single episode. Amazing!
@@greylag8630 I agree. I think that some of the "triplet" episodes from person of interest did a wonderful job of containing an isolated story... But in a single 60 minute episode? No, there is very little that comes close to this. Possibly the Teddy Perkins episode of Atlanta? But episode 3 from the last of us deserves awards.
I think it's cruel that you keep ducks in that small metal box but other than that it's a good review. I must say I prefer my rifles with the big buddy bottles nowadays hence I have a red wolf and a maverick, both in .177 because I'm not a heathen 😂👍

Try using a front and rear bag instead of that rickety crap your using also clean the barrel first like any decent reviewer!
That is a cool looking rifle. You can't go wrong with Air Arms guns. Great review as usual Chris.
hi Chris , great review thank you .. The rifle looks great to shoot ! cheers from Yorkshire
You do like repeating yourself time and time again! I’ve a S510 super light and put the tactical stock on it and can’t be happier, horses for courses
Cleaning a new barrel is essential imho
Absolutely agree with you on this.
Nice, I haven't seen a Cornish game bird (aka Indian game) in some time, they seem to be quite scarce these days.
Good review Chris. A lovely rifle but the shot count put me off and the price compared to some others.
Keep them coming and thank you.
Hi there on a different note, did I miss the result of the scope give away ?
I own a S410 Walnut. Just elegance and beauty. This tactical thing is not my cup of tea.
I own one of each and would rather part with my left testicle than either of them 😂
Great review Christopher 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it

What sight are you using?
A great looking/ performing gun no doubt, but too overpriced.
The £1000 mark or just under would seem more reasonable.
how to order?
