Yes, THESE ARE BEING REPLACED!!! Turns out Schindler got their hands on this and as of the day this is being uploaded the down from 2-1 is complete and the up from 1-2 is in the process. I came back here a few later on so expect a big mod process video to come out within a few weeks.

I found stock footage recorded at this store in 1993 and it appears that the escalators serving the 1st/2nd floors were originally Otis. The risers had the smooth surface that were common on their older escalators.

It's in a video titled "Christmas Shopping at a Mall in 1993" by Vampire Robot. Escalator footage begins around the 2:45 mark. There are also some clips of the Macy's in Aventura in its original state.
@@PlanetEscalators I should also mention that the 2-3 escalators were installed later on as the third floor was added in the early 70s.
