played by OSBORNE and ....Howe? I believe the last word is "Howe" written on the piano roll, but it is VERY faded.
This is a GREAT rendition of that famous march!
My mother used to play this on her piano and sing it to me as a child ,I now have two versions on my player! A fave!
Just ran across this video. Brings back wonderful memories of sitting around the player piano in my grandparents' house in rural Kansas. This was one of our very favorite rolls to play. 🙂
This was one of my favorite rolls to listen to on my Grandpa's player piano. I'm pretty sure this is the same roll, but it seems like I remember it being dressed up with a lot of noodling in the tenor range. Maybe I added that to my memories during the years the old piano wouldn't play. He and I were planning to take it out for a complete renovation, the night before he passed away.
i wasn't aware it had words! that's just cool!
I first heard this tune when I was child. It was being used as background music for a some television commercial.
This is another tune which I frequently play with the local folk music group.
As "Played by": OSBORNE & HOWE.
Yes ... Now this is much better :)
That last roll I saw of this was too jazzed up and lacked the high octave bracing that gives this version the volume and impact.the work deserves
The piano is better too ... the other was too tinny

Bravo from Australia 2018.
Thank you for sharing this lovely old march- and what a plus!! The words I remember singing to this appear on the edge of the roll!!
