Viltrox also works fast and sharply on my antiqued A7ii. Glad that I found one in a second hand shop selling at about USD188, the cheapest among those with large apertures, and with nice small body. Never heard about it so it did not harm to try it. Immediately attracted by its sharpness, even better to me than the Sony 85mm f1.8 I was originally trying. So bought it as a duo to the Sony and the seller was happy to give further discount! Then I knew it was from China, glad that I am lucky to pick a good one.
Viktrox is more than double the price her in EU than the Sony :) In the centre the have +- same sharpness. My current combo is 20-70 g f4 (which is superb lens in AF and shrapness) and sony 50 1.8 and im quite happy with this :)
I can confirm that the Sony 50mm1.8 has snappy and fast AF on newer Sony cameras in both photo and video. It's much more accurate, fast and consistent than when it's on an A7 III body
Thank you for this comparison. The Sony is famous for his bad results in sharpness and autofocus. So the Viltrox will be a good lens for low budget and middle quality for non commercial user.

I meant Viltrox, and planning to use it in a corporate shoot soon. I really loved the lens for the build quality first and image quality as well.
