- I sold the Fazer and bought this. Yes, it feels cheaper compared to the Fazer but I also have an extra £900 in my pocket. Also this bike can power wheelie with ease... the fazer couldn't.
Thanks mate. The exhaust is a big must! Glad I got it with the bike.
Ride safe!
Yes mate, well spotted.
It's an Airblade screen. I do not recommend it though because it look like it has little stress cracks over it. That's only after 2 months.
The bike came with it already fitted. Also from what I've read Scorpion designed this exhaust to not need any remapping (dunno about with the baffle out). Stock air filter and no PC.
It backfires every now and again when decelerating but I really like that.
@Bikeman1087 Higher CC generally means more weight. In dense traffic that would hamper maneuverability and also constantly hauling that weight from a standstill in the start & stop traffic means bigger fuel consumption. This 2007 ER6 makes more torque than a 2007 R6.
A 4cylinder humz like a race bike & makes its power up high in the rev range. A 2cylinder thumps like a chopper and makes its power in the lower-mid rev range.
@MrAdamseye Thanks mate! Yes, power wheelies are just from a sharp twist of the throttle.
@mappy456 It's a parallel twin so it's just looks like an inline4. It will be easier and cheaper to service than a Vtwin because on a V the mechanic has to open up two ends of the engine.
Be interested to see how you get on with the ER6F Prem - wife and I are looking at one of those as an option (also the ER6N). Good that there's an aftermarket can too - you can tell some vids where they have the stock one and it's really agricultural.
It really depends on your ride style.
If you're a city rider like I am, doing mostly 30/40mph roads then you'll love the ER6. Being a twin it has buckets of power in the lower/mid RPM range.
If you do a lot of long stretches of motorway then you mights miss the FZ6 because (as you know) after 7000rpm is when the engine really shines! The power is in the mid/high RPM range.
If you're anywhere near London I'll let you test ride mine.
@rsv4power No need, just type 650r power wheelie into the search. Hardly a surprise when this bike makes more torque than an R6.
@DJB9409 I had a CBF125 which is somewhat similar. You cant fault them. Good first bikes and very reliable.
@ElliotReidMD I read that the stock exhaust is too heavy for the header pipes on some early models and actually causes them to break.
Works very well mate. The GF loves the improvement. She used to slide around on the Fazer.
@187Premises I see its a nice bike anyway you made a good choice really. I was planning on saving for an exhaust on mine but i am going to just save up for my next bike!
Hey Numz! Thanks pal. Let me know if you buy another. :)
@BlanketOfAnonymity Restriction is off mate! We'll blat to AceCafe soon!
good info thanks, I'm considering purchasing one... I like the twin cylinder too plus I'm passing the driving exam on that model and it feels fine.
hopefully be getting this bike later on in the year, how many years ncb and is it expensive to insure? as I know its kinda a good low insurance group why I will go for it, hopefuilly nothing above 1000 pounds though
Hi mate nice bike Iv just bought ER6-N 08 plated the same colour as yours from a main dealer, just a awesome bike, but in bits at the moment as am trying to replace most of the factory fitted parts..i.e Stock exhaust exchanging it to TWO BROTHERS exhaust, air filter, seat, huggers and adding a few extra bits as well..ciggie lighter for gps and phone.. and guvi box and colour coded panniers and maybe fly screen.. keep the great vids coming
@Hmsfirefox Well spotted. Yes I moved house and was off the internet for a bit until I got a new phone line fitted. I'm still in South London with the blind drivers though. :)
True. I tried a Honda hornet and the bottom end felt far better than the FZ6.
@rsv4power Wrong. I wrote it in the comments and video description.
How is the protection of the windshield on the Kawa in comparison to the Fazer? The shield on this bike seems a bit low.
in all fairness...im pretty jealous of that beauty right now!
After living with the er6f for a while how are you finding it, you went from your fz6 to this im doing exactly the same. anything you regret or would advise to me?
thanks!
Really nice ride man :-) I have seriously got to get my full licence now.
Nice bike mate, is it a v twin like my sv?
no i am in hull unfortunatly, i liked the fazer but mine being naked as soon as i hit the top end of the speed limits i found myself being blasted by the wind and its a mix of town and twistys. but the main point of this bike is cost 145 pounds for insurance with 1 years no claim where as every other bike is around 800 - 900.
@BedsideGnome Thanks man im getting the 2010 model off my dad.. pretty exited :D
@BedsideGnome It's on the list. Thanks mate!
I quite like the old clocks, alhough they are leftovers from the old z750 & zx7r
@187Premises Nice that bike has got some grunt! Thanks!
hey prem, have you moved house the background to your videos used to be what looked like a small back garden, but now it looks like a big driveway??? your bike looks great, the exhurst sounds like a helicopter lol,
Do you think you've made the right decision or are you having buyers remorse? When I bought an 01 R1 I knew I'd made a big mistake after an hour of riding it, I sold it 9 months later, too much for me!!
Ah ok. Yeah I like twins better than 4's. Twins have a nice thumping exhaust note and are great town bikes. If I spent most of my time on a motorway/highway then I'd of kept the FZ6 because that's where it was in its element.
lovely looking bike! analogue clocks ftw.
hey! im 17 and soon im getting a YBR 125 as my first bike, have you had any experience on this bike?
@oli333 There's nothing like sitting at the lights with a bunch of supersports and all they can hear is me over their engines.
I also have an 07 Kawasaki ER6F, but in passion red. How do you feel about your Scorpion slip on. Did you have to install a different air filter and Power Commander, or does it run fine stock? Does it backfire or make popping noises? Did you notice a rise in power? Thank you.
@MrAdamseye yepp your right, its just twisting the throttle hard
How is the triboseat working? I want to buy for the passenger seat, but i can't decide if it's any good.
@CoxUKevents Will do matey!
That sounds a bit steep to me, but then again how old are ya? I've just started riding with 0 no claims and it's cost me £300 TPFT. I'm 24 and been driving cars for 7 yrs, but obviously that doesn't matter diddly squat when applying for motorcycle insurance!
I went for 3rd party only because it's not a thief magnet and I'am confident I wont wreck it. Costed me £300 and I have 4 years no claims.
@cruellordsoth I switch bike faster than the DVLA can keep track.
if you think this bike has a lot of bass, try a V-twin. My bike still has the baffles in and the noise it makes is fenomenol!!
God I wish we could lane split in the U.S. And nice bike, sad you had to sell the fazer, but I really like the er6n. It's grate for city riding
Hey mate, dealership are selling an 2006 ER6F. 5000 miles and they want £2995. DO you think it is worth it or not
What number bike is this how many bikes have you had now
Old school Prem :)
@DileHun This bike would do that! But I imagine when reaching the other side the suspension will bottom out and the forks will say good bye to the frame and go separate ways.
@xenolard M13 has the handlebar bell mod! So I don't have shit on him.
I have a few similarities with M13. Scottish ancestry, Asian GF, love animals, 13 is my lucky number. However our YT video styles are worlds apart. There's no way anyone can confuse a P187 video with an M13 video.
@insaneRideOuts666 Thanks!
wow clean that chain man.
Lovin the v-twin rumble ;)
@187Premises Thanks :)
Sorry, late reply. I avoided the 2006 because it had a few problems that were ironed out on the 2007. Google "slingshot 650r" and look at the fault section. The miles are pretty good on that bike. I got this for £2100 after some psychological warfare with the private seller. 2007, ABS, 24k miles.
Congrats! Nice bike, good choice!
Certainly when riding in the city most of the time.
A ZX6R will cope, but it will ruin your wrists, back and the bike itself.
I just bought the same bike and I think it's great bike
Do you have a different screen on it now?
if you enjoy riding twins, just try a f 800 r or the nuda 900 (its the 800 r engine)
@EXPLORINGYouinHD We'll go as a group with BoA & CoxUKevents. It'll hopefully happen on a Saturday.
What do you mean when you say power wheelie? I am assuming you mean not having to pop the clutch, but I don't know. I would like to know:)
Congrats on the subs and views too!
@187Premises Now that sounds like a plan!
nice bike, must say can't understand what kawasaki were thinking with the dials. but you're right about it not being a thief magnet, bike in disguise, btw not all inline 4's are powered through only high revs, i have a yzf600r thunder cat and they get good power from 3k rpm and i normally cruise at 3-4 rpm, ride safe mate
"Just let the clutch out and you are flying..." does the ninja give you wings? :D
@187Premises im only a naked voter cus of the lack of highway/fastlane lack, and it keeps cost down ( if you like me in early years of riding went downA LOT)
Do an exhaust sound
You make sick videos
great bike u cant go wrong with a v twin or v4
Anologue clocks rule!
Digital are horrible, I'd rather see needles flying around a dial any time, my FZ6 used to really piss me off when trying to read the speed.
On my RF600 the dials can be read from the corner of your eye, so you always know what speed your doing without purposely looking down at the clocks.
Great bike man I've got the 2010 version.
No no, this is a twin cylinder, 4stroke. Cylinder count is different from stroke count mate.
Same bike as M13 now btw. You're bike buddies
Do a jump on the raised Tower Bridge! Nice vids ;)!
excellent choice of bike ideal for your surroundings, the right bike for the right job, and you are better then most bikers then were im from for keeping your cool with the simple idiot you encounter, happy riding pal
No offence taken mate. Would love a 1600cc Yamaha MT01 at some point. :D
@187Premises
Without baffle i't sounds like a helicoper :O
cool bike :)
Quotes are keep saying error when I put 1 ncb full lisence :/
Great looking bike. But your chain maintenance looks bad
differences between this and the er-6n ?
deadliftdux this bike has fairings. er-6(n)aked and er-6(f)airings.
this is like Mordeth13's bike , very nice
Yes. mordeth13 has the black and red which I think is the best colour scheme.
Yes man i had the ZX636 fucking raced tuned the lot fast as but insurance was 10k so had the ktm duke 2 that was shit sonow got the zxr 400 when r we goin on a ride then safeeeeee
@187Premises woops forgot that its a bitchin bike you got, a lot of care was given to it as the looks are
@oli333 LOL same with the Yoshi on my SV650.
ITS BLUE WHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
@rellow1007 I've got something lined up for you naked voters!
Nice
loL! dude, when I had my yoshi fitted on the er6f they didnt put the baffle in, and it was seriously embarsasing riding through london, sounded like a helicopter overhead. stick it back in before you go deaf!
ah that's good :), I only have 1 no claims so probs be much higher lol
London prices mate. Insurance companies always expect a wreck with the amount of retards around here.
Haha. I love the "rubber mount kit". Typical Kawasaki!
purdy!
I should of heeded this comment.
Wanna swap! :p
@187Premises Ha :D
Niceee...looks gd, sounds gd.
hey m13 is copying this guy lol j/k
nice bike m8!
Hey man i don't know ur videoz butt culd u sub 5 sub plezze free dominos m8!
I was so In love with the bike when you first had it in your videos, that was one of the reasons why I got myself a 250 Ninja. totally loved the bike. It kinda looked the same.
Im thinking about getting myself a ZX6R in the 03 - 06 region. They cheap up here. Around 4,300€ and they sound totally badass. And the look is just Stunning. Always been a Kawasaki fanboy! haha.
I still love your old videos!
