  • The Archbishop Coadjutor of Hartford, Christopher Coyne, will take over the Archdiocese of Hartford in the spring when Archbishop Leonard Blair retires. In a candid conversation with Dennis House, Coyne talked about his upbringing, his career as a bartender, the future of churches in our state, and his message for people who left the church and women in the priesthood. He also told Dennis what he would say to Pope Francis if given the opportunity: “move the Catholic church out of the Vatican.”

    Women cannot be deacons. You try to confuse the issue and act like it’s somehow possible because the word deaconess was used in early church times. Those women were not “ordained” deaconesses in any way. There is no such thing as any form of ordination of women. Stop!

    This Bishop says the case for women ordained to priesthood is not open for discussion, but he FAILS to mention that it is IMPOSSIBLE, EVIL and NOT CATHOLIC to suggest a woman can be a priest! How dare he!

    He seems to be exactly the sort of man to guide his new church in the new way according to all the great new revelations of the Synodalists. I will remain Catholic, however. I pray for his conversion.

    Elephant in the room is pope Francis and his ideology vs the deposit of faith... That's why ppl are leaving ...however...ppl are coming to the church's traditions. This bishop is the problem as to why ppl are leaving..it's a whole new church growing within... expect more Catholics to leave and churches to close...does this bishop believe in the deposit of faith as handed down from the apostles??? Doesn't sound like it. He will bring death to the garden in whatever city he is at. He is in my prayers for he seems to be going up against the deposit of faith...in fact, he will probably be promoted!!!

    Great interview. I am quite confident the Bishop will accelerate the already rapid decline of the Catholic Church in the Hartford Diocese.

      He just said he’s not, one fallen away at a time. He denies the fact that JP2 worked because he spread the TRUTH. Not “all are welcome” BS!

      1) why is the interview happening in the church? A space meant for worship.
      2) How DARE he blame the laity. It is absolutely the fault of the church admin, abandoning its own liturgy with VA2, abandoning its morals with the abuse crises, and abandoning the infrastructure that the devout laity PAID for.
      Shame on him

    Bishop Coyne, how do YOU think JESUS would feel about YOUR thoughts on changing things in HIS CHURCH Which Is His Body?

    Great insight Archbishop! Throw out everything that Jesus gave to His Apostles and "start fresh!" How about starting with (7:37) "sometimes our message is hard to hear" - and applying it to yourself and the Church hierarchy as to WHY so many are leaving?!
    May God help us and have mercy on us all!🙏🙏🙏

    Why do these bishops in suits always hide their pectoral cross in the jacket pocket? With all due respect your Excellency the only thing that will grow the Church is the Orthodox faith and standing out from the world not blending into it. I speak as a convert who came in because of tradition not worldliness.

    Will Francis be as vindictive against him as he was against Bishop Strickland?

    • @Nature-Remedies23
      @Nature-Remedies23 6 месяцев назад

      Nope- Francis is an anti-pope and one day the church will be restored and condemn him as just that. There were 41 anti-popes (and 19 false councils) in the Catholic Church's history before Vatican II, but most were condemned after their deaths. We have had plenty of questionable popes since Vatican II, but Francis is clearly a manifest heretic. Pray, pray pray- we need fortitude and humility to get through this- this "bishop" is indicative of the insanity and evil of Francis. Francis is not Catholic, he has automatically been excommunicated as St. Robert Bellarmine-Doctor of the Church- teaches. He upholds heretical beliefs- for instance, in his first Apostolic letter he stated the old Covenant (Covenant of Moses, Old Testament) was still a valid covenant (stating that Christ was NOT the fulfillment of the Messianic message), In other words, Jews are okay to wait for their Messiah- denying Jesus as the Messiah-this is absolute heresy! Therefore he cannot be head of something he does not belong to.

    Getting out of Rome? It will be tough to move St. Peter's, but I understand the Amish are very good at moving buildings! Ecumenism at work!😊

    Connecticut can AFFORD to have 'visions' .... a luxury most Arch and dioceses cannot afford.
