Dude this is fucking MIND BLOWING lmao, I can only imagine how far this could be pushed if you somehow got it working with nanite, I imagine that'd be a colossal effort though because nanite was only build to work with certain static meshes, not fully procedural stuff like this..
Its looking really nice too bad I live in a third world country and cant afford plugins lol, just wondering can the fractals be used as meshes with collisions?
Incredible stuff! I know it would make a LOT of work but is there any changce you could import more (if not all) of the formulas found in mandelbulb 3D? And if possible with the same option to combine the formulas? If so that would mean you got a GPU rendered version of Mendelbulb going which would be incredible!
@@MachinaInfinitum yess lets goo, currently building my own version of ue5 so i will have to see how to use the plugin with that. but amazing work my guy
You can apply Fractal Materials to a plane shape and you will see the fractal with all it's parameters. We've made some "flat" parameters so you can create like floor fractals and use these, like we did for the floor in the Matrix demo
@@raysena8679 Ah also if you need a specific shape, you can explore the parameters until you find something that works for you. We plan many tutorials, updates for the current product and also more fractals in the next release
Another question, will these be able to account for physics? Say, if one was to make the fractal big enough and have it collide with player? May be cool to have a fractal as a dynamic map
@@MachinaInfinitum if you're taking my idea and running w it that's cool but I trust you've already thought/tried. I did see a video a year or two back where a person successfully coded collision onto dynamic fractals. So I know it's possible and I do know the project was open source. Lemme know if you want me to help more. I'm a dev
@@JustinH95 Happy to hear that ! Yeah there's some nice samples out there of fractal working with collision. But we have to release first and than implement and iterate the process :)
i love fractals but i still cant think of a valid game that would use them. marble marcher did this pretty ok but thats a free and simple game that anyone can make. fractals are beautiful but are not really useful. i am not saying this to be a downer i have spent many days if not weeks pondering on what fractals could do for gaming. i draw a blank every time. fractals are beautiful to look at and great to render but this seems underwhelming to me. this will probably be cool with some specific renders but idk what gameplay use it could serve. fractals just look too out of place to use them for anything other than observing.
To each his own ;) They’re not meant for anything specific, they can be used for anything you want, just use your imagination. We’ve done several shortfilms with fractals, mostly used for environmens, but also as standalone objects. They’re also awesome for boolean ops. It’s all about imagination. See more here: www.machina-infinitum.com/videos
@@MachinaInfinitum some of these images are quite inspiring. i definitely would like to find ways to use it. i think it has a great place for movies and renders though and unreal engine is used for that too so i think the plugin is amazing i just wish i could find a way to make it amazing for gaming too lol. i see the flat material is great and can be used in games quite easily. i will probably end up using it in my game at some point maybe ill have an ingame concert that uses fractals to do effects for the concert room, the performance of these fractals though are shockingly good. is there a free version or a github source i can play with? of course i wouldnt use it in videos or my games unless i pay for it but never hurts to dabble before buying
This looks excellent.
Great work.
EDIT: Subscribed and belled.
Yes would love to get this soon. Have a big concert gig I would love to use it on very soon!
We released it today on the Marketplace, it's called Machina-Fractals: Essence :)
thermal throttling, the game
Amazing. Can't wait.

Hell yeah 😃 Maybe Nanite 2.0 will be able to handle it!
Just convert to static mesh, enable Nanite, voilà.
But well sure not animated in real time...

Hahaa, great :)
Have fun!
TOTALLY AWESOME! can we use your formula packs in it too? or are they apart of the plugin?
Our Vectron packs are different, this is all realtime stuff

So I guess I'll have to get this for sure now. Amazing work. Will try rendering ultra high res from sequencer.
Looking forward to see what you create, make sure to tag us ;)
Will the geo created work as a Boolean mesh?
For now, there’s no geometry at all. We’re working on different solutions, stay tuned…..
This is madness!
Yep, it sure is, LOL :)
Soundtrack?
Dont remember, sorry… Its something from AudioJungle
Impressive! How is the performance on an M1 Mac?
We haven't tried that, but should run fine.

Yes it will :)

We haven’t tested it in VR, most of the formulas will prob not be realtime in VR.

Go to ‘Engine - Rendering’ and set ‘Output velocities due to vertex deformation’ to OFF. Also set the mesh to ‘Static’
