When a drop of blood in a kids fipm has more impact than a slaughter fest of organs in a horror movie
Its probably because you expect gore in horror movies or just adult movies in general which is why it doesn't give that much shock factor as compared to blood in a kids film

I hope Death becomes a recurring character in other DreamWorks projects. It'd be so cool to hear his iconic whistle whenever a character is about to die.
That would be really cool. Even just when they have an off screen death it would be neat.
What would be better is if he appeared in every future movie that has puss in it because he is still waiting for the moment when his last life comes to an end.
yeah, i need to keep an eye out for him.
*(also, 70th like)*
I wonder if he takes on different forms depending on who's soul he's after or if he's always a wolf.
Facts!!
Death is the coolest animated villain for me. Constant threat. His presence immediately DEMANDS attention and fear. One of the only villains to ever actually make me go "oh shit"
does this mf have reality manipulation
exactly. one thing i constantly noticed is how they never allowed humor when death is there. the movie immediately turns serious and you know heads are gonna roll
Damn blood in a kids animation movie? Dreamworks ain’t playing around
You know it's serious when they do that
It's just a drop of blood, it's not like kids have never seen blood before
@@exod001 its still unusual. and it also depends how u get the blood. scratch from a thorn or scratch from a a death's weapon who is trying to kill u
@@exod001 movie critics give the movie a pg13 or 12+ rating if the movie has any realistic violence or/and dripping blood 🩸 I think the reason is they don’t want to inspire or influence violence onto kids, so movie producers tend to avoid any type of realistic violence, and go for that cartoonish type violence to get that pg rating because it’s more profitable. Puss in boots took a risk here, but I’m glad they did, because death isn’t something you can sugarcoat
Lmao there’s a ton of blood in kids movies.. may be a single drop in some but there is definitely blood in a few.
You always know shit is getting really serious when blood is drawn in an animated movie.
Especially in dreamworks. Theres so few movies where it happens that its always a major thing when it happens
I was surprised when I saw the blood and heard a minor swear word
No shit man. When you see blood, you know shit bouta go down between Captain Underpants and Puts and Boots
His whistle just sends a shiver down your spine. Loved this wolf. Best character I've seen in awhile (won't call him a Villain because he really isn't. He's just tired of Puss's crap and cats in general because of their 9 lives xD)
He is a neutral character, He's the grim reaper of this universe. So really he isn't in any position of bad or good rather an obligation he has to fill.
@@CashMoneyZoomWell he said himself he was a bad guy. And if he was just doing his job he wouldn't have been trying to kill Puss. He would have just waited for his last life to end.

I just love how they wrote him. When I saw it in theaters, every time he whistled I genuinely shivered.

Guys, he ain't a villain. He's doing his job.
No he’s definitely a villain. Puss still had one life and he was trying to take it early. His job isn’t to take lives just because he disagrees with someone’s life choices.

I love how every other character has a quirky pun or joke that they say in The movie except death. It makes him an even better antagonist
One of the reasons why this movie is so good is because they are serious when they need to be. Like Death, it woulda been too easy to make him do some goofy shit in order to be more likeable for the children and make people laught, but they stayed true to it's character and delivered one of the best antagonists of the genre. Same with perrito, he coulda been the annoying comedic relief and he was for the most part, but he was serious when it needed to be.
Sure, movie didnt have as much laught moments as others movies trying to copy others, but in return we got one of the best animated movies EVER, a movie that respects the intelligence of their audience. Man this movie is so good.

@「ℂ𝕙𝕚𝕕𝕖𝕣𝕒™」 Yeah, but sadly, it's all about old Disney. Disney nowadays is completely joke
well, Puss in Boots had 3 types of villains. The "Disney" Villain that is redeemable aka Goldi. The Parody of a Disney Villain that was created specifically to be irredeemable but otherwise appears to be a disney style villain in appearance. the Force of Nature that isn't even necessarily evil but is an Antagonist for reasons that make sense.

I think Death is awesome, he was never out to kill Puss, he was there to teach Puss a life lesson, Brilliantly, Death even looked proud of his work at the end. I genuinely think he's one of the good guys in this one.
He was definitely out to kill puss I don’t get how you can see that any other way. He wanted to take his life early but in the end he saw that puss had changed and began to appreciate his one life, he came for an arrogant hero who that he was invincible. The chase was no longer fun once he realized puss cared about his last life b
He was 100% trying to kill puss but like he said at the end in Spanish that “he played with his food too much” resulting in puss finally valuing life and destroying any motive for Death to kill Puss.
Feel like giving back his weapon and letting him know he is there all the time and not just ending him was him trying to see if he should die. I mean yes he was trying to kill him but definitely could have ended it whenever he wanted
He feels like evil neutral
he lost his interest,He came to kill an arrogant legend. After that puss became a real legend, and end the fun for death.he wanted to kill at first but he lost his fun and reason at the end, thats why he said "I shouldn't have played with my food"
Bro why does death look so COOL!? He’s literally my favorite character😭🤌🏽✨
I personally wondered why the creators of the film made Death, A WOLF, but here's a GIANT possible coincidence. I doubt the creators had this in mind BUT in Tupi-Guarani mythology, the native peoples of Brazil, Paraguay, and other South American countries there is a figure called Luison. He is described as being a wolf-man or werewolf and is at times considered the God of Death or has the same functions as the Grim Reaper. This and the fact that they casted Wagner Moura, a Brazilian actor, to play Wolf/Death is either a beautiful coincidence or an awesome creative choice from the filmmakers. Also he seems to take another South American inspiration from Colombia/Venezuela, El Silbon, a whistling bag man death persona that keeps his victims bones in a sack he carries.
