Looking at this episdoe now, it makes me respect Silverbolt as a character. Not only did someone who was denied a life, only to be taken in such an untimely matter made him understandly mournful of what happened. Not only that, he even felt sympathy for Rampage when he realized he geninuenly cared for another being other himself, showcasing compassion even for his enimies, especailly when they exhbit surpsingly redeeminh charactersists. He's just that good of bot to feel sympathy for even Rampage. You ask me, even at his most agressive, he represents the best qualties of what the Maximals are about.
I think people miss the ending. Rampage, a true monster feels for another living thing. An evil beast that feels pain, loss, and regret for Transmutate. Its rare to see such a character have such a touching moment.
To me, that howl of anguish marks the moment the last shred of hope in Rampage dies. He has been alone all his life, hated, persecuted, shunned by the very society that made him, lashing out in rage for that is all he had left. The Predacons are no better, they simply want to exploit his power for their own ends. But then there is Transmutate and in it Rampage finally finds a kindred spirit, someone that is abnormal and unwanted; just like him. Someone who does not hate or fear him. Finally he finds someone who could be his companion... Then he watches his own missiles kill them. From that moment on, all Rampage has to live for, is his rivalry with Depth Charge, for at least he matters to Depth Charge. If he cannot have love, then he will cling to his hate.
Season 2 was the Dark season out of the three. So many characters died (airazor, tigertron, terrasaur, scorponok, dinobot, transmutate, Ravage, Optimus Prime), and emotional good story telling for a kids show. 2 is the best IMO.
Another thing... I believe Dinobot would've agreed with Optimus about putting Transmutate to stasis lock (peacefully), but he would also agree that every life counts despite the times he would suggest "leaving others behind for the team's glory." BUT, his honor would say otherwise and keep Transmutate alive by, let's say, pitting her spark in another body (a protoform).
@SoniKZooM Rhinox saying that they had to put Transmutate into stasis lock immediately is basically hinting at euthanasia which means the practice of intentionally ending life to eliminate pain and suffering, which is why Rhinox said “The best thing would be to put it into stasis lock. Immediately.”
Though not mentioned in the show, the script establishes Transmutate's spark as unstable, which would imply it/she/they wouldn't survive a spark transfer.
notice Transmutates very specific choice of words at the end....she refers to silver bolt as good...but when looking at rampage she uses the word "Dark" and not "Bad" i think transmutate actually understood Rampage, his pain and suffering...this wasnt wishful longing on Rampages side, they really were kindred spirits.
First Code of a Hero and then this......it was almost too much for my 12 yeard old mind to take. "friend goood" "friend...DAarrrkk" i.....am......HURT!
@JesterzPlauge I know, right? It's a lot sadder than what I remember; I guess I was still in shock from DB's death when I first saw it oO And I think if there's any doubt that Rampage truly wanted it as a friend, not just a weapon to get his spark back, I think this final part clears that up. Never felt so sorry for a monster. This ep was near perfect, even showing yet another dark side of the Maximals (first creating and wanting to ditch X, now wanting to put Transmutate down).
OMG, that was SAD... My chest hurts just thinking about this. Dx THIS HAPPENS BECAUSE PEOPLE DO NOT APPRECIATE THOSE WHO ARE DIFFERENT!!! That pisses me off!!
Silver bolt letting rampage go to mourn the loss of transmutate shows he does show the most compassion

Me: "Come Rampage. We shall give Transmutate, a proper burial."
It’s moments like that that make me love beast wars. 😁
FINALLY SOMEONE WHO NOTICED
And make Megatron pay.

6:57 no let him be. For the moment we are brothers.
That feeling
Transmutate is one of the most emotionally beautiful Transformers I've ever seen.
Such a sad episode:(
Man, all this time and it still has me in tears
True👍

Remind me, what's the difference between Stasis lock and going offline?
@@jokiro0195 and offline is....offline
Simply put it.
They keep their optics closed forever.
And never opens their optics.

i think when transmute said “I Am Hurt” it was emotionally hurt when it saw Rampage true intentions 😢
I remember when I was younger that transmutate creeped me out. Now it creeps me out a little but I find transmutate adorable.
aww man when i was little this made me so sad watching it now years later its still sad RIP Transmutate you adorable angel
War is an interesting game. The only winning move is, NOT to play.
RIP Transmutate.
Not in the war without reasons
このエピソードはいつみても泣けるな
何回観返したかわからんわ
I feel the same way, it hurts coming back to this episode but I feel like I need to.
First Code of a Hero and then this......it was almost too much for my 12 yeard old mind to take.
"friend goood"
"friend...DAarrrkk"
i.....am......HURT!
Rampage: AAAAAAAGGGGHHHHH
Optimus Primal: I'm Sorry
SilverBolt: It's over... It's gone. We extinguished its spark before we ever saw its true light...
its funny how the most noble maximal and the most savage predacon both saw transmutate not for what it was but what it could be.
First Dinobot, then Transmutate. My feels...
And now depthcharge
Damn, that was so dark. First Dinobot, then Transmutate. RIP Misunderstood Spark
i didnt even cry when i watch it so many times
Poor Creature...and poor Dinobot,too.
"Friend Good". "Friend Dark"
I. Am. Hurt. *Dies*

5:38 genuine emotional horror regarding the well-being of another from a Homicidal Monster.
Not sure where they would find a body, but they could definetly find a place for the spark until a body could be built for him/her.
This episode shows Rampage isn't just a rabid character, Protoform X I Love You Forever.
Transmutate would eventually become the Transmetal Equivilent of wheelie
Death is so sad, made me cry
Poor Transmutate...
You know your life is screwed when even the good guys want you dead
Who else felt a little bad for rampage and transmutate
Me
OMG, that was SAD... My chest hurts just thinking about this. Dx
THIS HAPPENS BECAUSE PEOPLE DO NOT APPRECIATE THOSE WHO ARE DIFFERENT!!! That pisses me off!!
Would Primal and Rinox have made a different choice if they were back on Cybertron with the safety and resources it would have provided?
@JesterzPlauge I think that's why they aired CoH, this, and the Agenda 3 parter onCartoon Network, it was too intense.
Wait this was on cartoon network?!?
What would Dinobot have done?
I...I don't....I don't know.
Feminist: omg, do men even feel anything?
Men: transmitate death scene :::(
Me:Code of Hero,Transmutates death,Armada Starscreams Death and Tfa Ratchet Flashbacks....
