I’m getting my guitar tomorrow I’m either getting the Gibson studio or the epiphone les paul 50s. And I think I’ll go the marshal but I might get the 15 instead of the 10. I haven’t played in 10 years and I sold my old studio. I had a jam with my new brother in law who is a musician and fell in love all over again. Wish it didn’t take me so long to remember just how much I love this instrument. I’m flying back today from a 2 week honeymoon and am so excited for tomorrow.
Just bought this little Fender, I think its pretty nice. For it's size it jams surprisingly loud. On three in my front room it's more than loud enough, and sounds pretty good. Great little practice amp.
They both sound fine' perfect for at home and bedroom jamming' they sound even tighter with a sealed cab' you can also mod a foot switch in and jack for a cab'

One thing here that is an issue for me is, the Frontman 10 is designed for a 4 ohm speaker. The Marshall takes an 8 ohm. I happen to have a 12" 4 ohm single speaker cabinet made by Fender. I could get the Frontman and wire in an extension speaker jack, and hook up safely to that cab. You should never try to hook a 4 ohm speaker to an amp designed for 8 ohms. Interestingly, the Frontman 20 takes an 8 ohm speaker.
I have to mention that, in the segment of your video starting at 1:56, the Fender sounded much better to me. The Marshall sounded like it was inside a tin can or something. Did not care for that. Thank you for doing this comparison. I would lean towards the Fender, but the Marshall, in the other segments, sounded better than in that first segment. Fender is currently $79 on Amazon, while the Marshall is $129.
Question for people who are more experienced. I've been playing acoustic guitar for 6 to 7 years now and I'm realising at this level its kind of strange i don't have an electric. Just want to know which of these two amps are more beginner friendly. i really like the design of the fender though.
I liked the Marshal better, but much of that can be corrected with eq settings and other things. I tend to run deeper and richer no matter what I am playing. But it is amazing what they are offering now days concerning quality and low prices. Cheers!
Initially, I think the fender has a little more soul and substance to it's sound. Sounds fuller. I notice artists like Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain used Marshall amps for they're live shows, but used fender for they're studio recordings.
Many people don't even know Hendrix used Fenders to record, specifically the Dual Showman. So when Fender does an ad featuring Hendrix, the people crying 'b.s.' are the ones b.s.-ing.
They are real close. Either will work. For me, slight slight edge to the Fender. Bought the Fender 10G in the limited edition blue. Love it. However, Marshall would have worked too.

I agree Marshall has a more melodic sound close to a tube sound.

Amazing! So great to hear that, good luck on your guitar journey :)!

How does it go with max gain?
this helps a lot to make up our minds , thanks!
They both sound fine' perfect for at home and bedroom jamming' they sound even tighter with a sealed cab' you can also mod a foot switch in and jack for a cab'
Mods for a 10 watt amp? 😂
You're better off just using the money to buy a bigger, more versatile amplifier.

Marshall 💯% Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Borh are great but....
Its Fender for me
Not too loud & great on clean
I bought today the marshall one:))

It sounds much different in person. I promise you I have both, mg10 is my choice for small gigs
It all comes down to chocolate or vanilla Gucci or Louis Vuitton BMW or Mercedes lol but personally I would still go with the fender amp
Marshal all the rock stars use it.
Question for people who are more experienced. I've been playing acoustic guitar for 6 to 7 years now and I'm realising at this level its kind of strange i don't have an electric. Just want to know which of these two amps are more beginner friendly. i really like the design of the fender though.
The Marshall is more beginner friendly because all it has is the Contour control, instead of two barely operable EQ's.
Mg10 or the fly?
Fender has more weight to it while marshall sounds like it's coming through plugins
Both amps are good but my first choice is Marshall MG 10
I liked the Marshal better, but much of that can be corrected with eq settings and other things. I tend to run deeper and richer no matter what I am playing. But it is amazing what they are offering now days concerning quality and low prices. Cheers!

Dzięki! Oba są bardzo fajne :) pozdro!
Moim zdaniem również Fender brzmi lepiej. I można go dostać używanego za przyzwoitą cenę! Pozdrawiam z Niemiec
Marshall to me sounds fuller...🎉🥰🙌😍it has that vintage tone
Thank you 🙏
Why Marshall more hissing than the fender?
Must be a problem on at least some MG-10s. Saw more than one other RUclips videos where they talked about this issue.
Fender frontman 10g 🤟🤟🤟
To be honest, I can't hear any difference, they are both adequate practice Amps.
Initially, I think the fender has a little more soul and substance to it's sound. Sounds fuller. I notice artists like Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain used Marshall amps for they're live shows, but used fender for they're studio recordings.

Fender is mutch better to my ears
The Fender clean sounds are doing it for me
Yes agreed
They are real close. Either will work. For me, slight slight edge to the Fender. Bought the Fender 10G in the limited edition blue. Love it. However, Marshall would have worked too.
Yesss
Fender is stronger os bass sounds
Marshall MG15 is currently £86 (uk) which is great price and gives more features. Thank me later.
Fender sounds dirtier while Marshall sounding more gentle 🤔 why
I just got both. They're both cute 🥰
Which one do you prefer?... I want to use electric accoustic and electric guitar through seperate effects unit. Which one would you suggest?
In this video fender sounded like marshall and marshall sounded like fender. Probably the settings or the make of each/individual amp
No, marshall sounded like Marshal
@@wolverineiscool7161 Marsha Marsha Marsha
Marshall all the way...Except for the horrid background static...What's with that?
Marshall for me please! 🎧
Great
I bought the Marshall MG15 and have been happy, but the Fender sounds great and it's cheaper.
The Fender sounds more balanced
