- The Sacramento Kings’ solar powered arena, Golden 1 Center, is the most environmentally-friendly stadium in the league. 90% of the food served in the stadium comes from within a 150-mile radius. Additionally, all unsold food goes to local food banks, and the ‘green waste’ goes back to local soil. Even their leftover fryer oil is recycled as diesel fuel by a local family business. Beyond environmental, Golden 1 Center boasts some of the best food of all the NBA arenas. With wood fired pizzas, sushi, bahn mi, BBQ and a plethora of vegan options, this arena is the all-star food court for athletes and fans needing a delicious game-time meal. This episode will go farm-to-arena and behind-the-scenes of this state-of-the-art venue to explain its initiatives and innovation.

Golden 1 is a beautiful arena and the food is great. As much as I miss Arco, the new arena is so nice!
when a beer and a hot dog costs an arm and a leg, the best food value and the tastiest at the Kings games is definitely the little empenada stand behind Section 110, 3 for $8.

that organic food waste they have in the trash can at the end could be gathered and mulched into really good fertilizer just saying and maybe given to a local garden or the farmers you source from. try to get as close to 0 waste as possible (also could help as a selling point) just a idea
