    When I make a new recipe and follow it and it makes a ton for my family of three, I freeze it for another night when I don’t feel like cooking.

      @CindyRose - Hi there, and welcome! Thank you so much for stopping by our channel, and for taking the time to watch and leave us a comment. We are so glad you are here, and hope that you will enjoy the content on our channel. 💖💜 I agree with that, if it is a meal that freezes (I don't tend to freeze things with dairy or potatoes, and other ingredients). And in the years when I cooked for the two of us and was not concerned about RUclips, I froze food all of the time. However, now, to be honest, I do try to cook more so that we will have more original content to share with our RUclips family and friends. It doesn't work as well to just defrost something from the freezer and heat back up, it's not overly interesting content, LOL!! If I wasn't filming for RUclips, though, I would definitely do that, and enjoy a night off in the future. haha! We appreciate the feedback, and look forward to hearing more from you in the future :) Take care, and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚

      @Debbie Reilly - that was a fun experiment! I didn't get them made in time to include in the "17 Breakfast Ideas" video, but they were still fun to play with. I will alter the quantities next time, since the original recipe called for mini donut pans and mine were regular size (which yielded a thinner donut). They still tasted really good though, and we both enjoyed them!! 😍💚

      @Debbie Reilly - Debbie, that is totally Tim's creation from his military days! Born of necessity when he barely had money to eat, he came up with that concoction of rice, ramen noodles, seasonings, and then he threw in eggs (for protein) and cheese (to make it creamy). It's totally unhealthy and incredibly sentimental for both of us. If I'm sick or not feeling well, he always makes it for me, and I love it!! I hope you get a chance to try it sometime! You definitely chose some yummy looking dishes this time. Since I am only cooking for myself most days, I am so bad about taking the easy way and cooking the same things way too often. Hopefully I will step out of the box and try a few of these.
    I have always heard that if your meat sticks to the pan, it needs to cook a bit longer. It is ready to flip when it will release. Who knows, but it is worth trying.

    • @LetsCookYall
      @LetsCookYall  2 года назад

      @jean massey - Hi Jean!! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching this week! Oh my, cooking for one is even incrementally harder than cooking for two. I've often told Tim that if I didn't have him to cook for, I'd likely eat popcorn, cereal and eggs most of the time and hardly ever cook. Good for you for cooking and even doing the same things, that's still a big step. I hope you find some inspiration from some of the meals, though I do cook enough for us and for leftovers for lunch the next day. Oh, and you are right about the meat, I've always heard and observed that as well. I always try to stick to a recipe as written the first time I make it, and that one had you flipping the chicken after a couple of minutes, but it's obvious that it had not released fully and was not quite ready. Live and learn!! Take care, and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚

    Hello My Sweet Friend!
    Everything looks delicious like usual. We had tacos on Friday and breakfast tacos yesterday morning. 😁
    We made fajita bowls last night for dinner. I put mine on a salad and thought of you. 😊
    I am with you about take out bbq. I am not a fan. But I do love to grill my own meats, chicken, pork, etc.
    I am not feeling like myself. It's been a depressing week for me but this is a new day and a new week and I know the Lord had great plans for me.
    Right now I am sauteeing mushrooms, onions, garlic to freeze. I use this mixture instead do creme of mushroom from a can. I can just throw it in my crockpot with my protein and cook. The proteins make so much water that I dont need to add much water or broth. I add my dried herbs, some bouillon granules and towards the end I add some milk. It's just loaded with flavor. The can stuff upsets my tummy sometimes. I use it when I dont have this mixture I am making on hand.
    Have a wonderful and blessed week my friend. ❤🙏

      @Yvette Bennett - Hey hey hey Yvette!! Thank you so much for stopping by, my sweet friend, and for watching and commenting! You guys are eating GOOD at your house, that all sounds pretty fantastic to me! I'm so very sorry that you are not feeling great. I get like that, a lot actually, and I always call it "in a funk". I usually tell Tim, better watch out, I'm feeling out of sorts today, or feeling blue today, or feeling like I'm just stuck in a funk, and he steers clear, usually, LOL! It's perfectly ok to have those days, I think we all do, but I am sorry that it's hitting you right now. I think staying busy is great, and cooking for your family sounds like a good solution :) Me, I try to read (since I tend to read primarily Christian fiction) because it helps me focus and keeps my mind off me and my problems. Now, as to you cooking mushrooms, onions and garlic to freeze as a sub for cream of mushroom soup, I am SO INTRIGUED! I love that idea, and may need more info and a trial run on that. Like you, I'm not fond of cream of x soups, though I use them occasionally. I love your idea, and then you just add some broth and milk, seasonings and bouillon? It doesn't sound like it would be thick like a cream of soup, but you find it works as a good substitute? I love this idea, thank you for sharing that with me! Prayers for you, that you will feel peace, comfort and joy in the days ahead. Hugs! ---Stacy 😍💚

    • @yvettebennett6170
      @yvettebennett6170 2 года назад +1

      @@LetsCookYall I am sensitive to dairy so it's not thick like a cream of mushroom but you can use heavy whipping creme, half & half or whole milk. You can thicken it with a thickener as well. Many possibilities.
      Yes I was mostly depressed and it's too long to discuss here. I am doing better today. Praise the Lord for His help. 🙏
      I cant do this life without Him. Things just get to me. Keeping busy is helping me but I am pooping out now. I still have to roast my chicken thighs for dinner. It's easy. Will bake chicken, bake potatoes, a veggie and a salad. 😊

On hotdogs I like mustard, ketchup and relish. We also love saurkraut. I hope you and Tim are doing well. Everyone here is doing great.

      @Melanie Kennedy - Hi Melanie! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching again this week! We include our recipe for Taco Seasoning and our Homemade Ranch seasoning in the Show More or Description box of each video. Right now, however, I am using some homemade taco seasoning that a friend gave me, and it is really flavorful!! Ours is similar but probably not quite as tasty because she used a really good chili powder (and I tend to use the cheaper ones from Kroger or Walmart). I think Taco seasoning is all about the quality of the chili powder, since that is the main ingredient. Anyhoo, if you are interested in trying my recipe and maybe modifying it to fit your tastes (I do cut back a bit on salt for purely health reasons, we have borderline high blood pressure issues here) , the link is here: hambones.org/letscookyall/index.php/recipe/stacys-taco-seasoning-mix/. Hi Stacy. Thank you for another video! I was wondering if you ever used the slow cooker option on your instant pot. I have both slow cooker and instant pot but my instant pot is always out and my slow cookers is usually put away therefore I always feel like it's easier to just use my instant pot. I have yet to use the slow cooker mode on it but thought it would be more convenient to use IF it does do a good job in cooking in that mode.

      @JuJu Bi - Hi there! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching this week's video! I have NOT ever used the slow cooker option on my IP. I have read too many horror stories about how it doesn't work well, to risk doing anything in mine. Meat is just too expensive right now for me to experiment with. I actually own 3 slow cookers, so it's just as easy for me to get one of those out as the IP, and I trust them more, LOL!! If you try it, let me know if it works for you. No one I know has had much luck with it, since it is basically a pressure cooker and not meant to be a slow cooker. Take care, and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚

    I’ve had a really nice Instant Pot for about a year…I’ve made hard boiled eggs in it a few times…I love how easy they are to peel, but the white is really rubbery to me. I tried a 4-4-4 method instead and that was better. Otherwise, I’m just afraid of the thing, lol! Maybe I watched too many old movies where the pressure cookers would explode. I know it wont explode like that (I’m pretty sure) but maybe I just need to start trying some more things in it to lose the fear of it. I have no fear of any other kitchen appliance but this one, lol. Also, I find that you have to pay a lot of attention to it to see when it’s come to pressure, when it’s depressuring, etc, which sort of defeats the purpose of it making things easier, so I can set a timer and just come back in a bit, instead of being over a frying pan or a Dutch oven, which is fine, when I want to do that, but…I don’t know, maybe I just need to practice with it more. I should have gotten the air fryer instead, lol! The meals look great! For the Asian dishes, Lawry’s makes a great Sesame Ginger marinade that you can use as that, add to a stir fry, or use as a dipping sauce. Fantastic! I love the Kikkoman Soy Sauce and Teriyaki sauce, too!

      @Molly Dye - Hi Molly!! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching! LOL on the Instant Pot! I have one, and was terrified in the beginning. My mama had an old school stovetop pressure cooker that blew one time and it definitely traumatized me. However, these new electric ones are as safe as can be. There's no way for it to pop its top because of the pin that keeps it sealed. It is just not a possibility, so I don't worry about that at all. I do like to do certain items in mine (like hard boiled eggs, potato salad, ribs, beans, some soups and a few dishes we have tried and liked). However, overall, mine sits in a cabinet for weeks or even months at a time. Our air fryer, on the other hand, sits out on the countertop and is used almost daily. Since it's just the two of us and an air fryer is basically a small contained oven, it's very convenient. I don't have to wait on my "big" oven to preheat, and things cook quicker, because it's small and contained. We love ours and use it all of the time!! Thanks for the tip on the Lawry's sesame ginger - I knew I had not heard of it. Checked my two local grocery store options (Kroger and Walmart) and neither carry it, so I'll just continue to make up my own marinades and such. Thanks for the feedback! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚

      @@LetsCookYall Thanks so much for responding, I’m glad I’m not the only one who has been a little afraid of their instant pot. I wish it did some with a non-stick interior (don’t know if that would work in a pressure cooker) so you didn’t have to worry so much about scraping up the fond to not get the “Burn” notice. If I understand correctly, soups that are cream based (or dairy stuff in general…milk, cream, etc) doesn’t work well in the Instant Pot. Anyway, I’ll pull it out, and try some more stuff. Lots of good deals on Air Fryers right now…I’d love this combo one from Costco that also doubles as a toaster oven and Rotisserie as well as all the air fryer stuff…I have my eye on it, lol! If you are interested in having a product in your local store, probably works better at Kroger, you can always ask at the service desk if they will stock it. I’ve heard that stores are pretty responsive to this. Otherwise, if you want to give it a try, it’s probably on Amazon, lol. Making your own is always best, we don’t have a good Asian market near us to make a lot of the Asian marinades, so I tend to use this, Kikkoman, and Kinder’s Teriyaki is also a good one. Thanks for the great content, and may your day be blessed as well.

      @Molly Dye - Hey Molly! They actually make a ceramic insert for the Instant Pot, so you can do different things like mac and cheese and other dishes if you don't want to bother to deglaze and get up the fond. My sister has the ceramic insert and really likes it. Here's a link to the 6 quart version (the size we use) in case you are interested (Note: Amazon affiliate link, you don't pay a penny more but we get a small commission for the referral if you purchase from our link) - amzn.to/3CFaB9Q. As for the dairy, you are so right! I think anything with dairy works best to pressure cook it plain, then add the cream or milk or cheese or cream cheese after it is over. Here's a link to an IP Tuscan Chicken Pasta that we've made many times, and we always pressure cook the other ingredients, then at the end, after we release the pressure, then we switch to saute and just cook until the dairy is melted and incorporated -- ruclips.net/video/pZC51frhAcc/видео.html. Also, we've been making a family favorite we call Crockpot Chicken Santa Fe in our crockpot for over 20 years and I worked on converting it to the IP (you melt in cream cheese at the end). Same principle, cook the chicken and beans beforehand, release the pressure, then melt in the cheeses - IP Chicken Santa Fe is here: ruclips.net/video/RXb9BVcugcE/видео.html. Air Fryers are definitely gaining in popularity! We purchased our first one in 2018 (not the one we currently use, we had manufacturing issues with the first brand) and have used it regularly ever since. As I said, the IP stays in a cabinet, while the AF is left out to do all sorts of things every day. Have a great weekend, and a Happy Thanksgiving! ---Stacy

      @Patricia Burke - Hi Patricia! Thank you for stopping by and watching! I love and adore my small, very old, little West Bend cooker. Mine is "nonstick" but I still spray the liner, then add chicken breasts, seasonings, taco seasoning and salsa and cook until the breasts are cooked completely and falling apart. I tend to use setting 4 or 4.5 and it usually takes 2.5-3.5 hours in mine, depending on the thickness of the breasts. That's the great thing about the West Bend, just take off the lid and check them with a meat thermometer (chicken should be 165 degrees F) or pull on them with a fork and see if they are falling apart enough, so they are easy to shred. I hope you get a chance to make them in there sometime! I also love to use my air fryer to "grill" boneless skinless chicken breasts for Taco Tuesday or other recipes. I think that Ramen stir fry looks really good. The Eagles were on two separate channels so we can’t watch the Cowboys. :( hopefully it’s just this one time. @Trenton Garber - Hi Trenton. Thank you for taking the time to stop by our channel, and for your feedback. We realize our content is not for everyone. We cook for two daily, as well, and have been for over a quarter of a century. I must admit, I cook more since we started the RUclips channel, and my cooking has changed, just because certain things "play" or "work better" in a RUclips environment. For example, most people do not want to see things like sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, spaghetti and tacos. We do show those, but we also add in more meals and more recipes and new ideas, and try to provide a lot of variety and a lot of variations. We have an Instant Pot - yes, but we rarely use it. We have an air fryer that we use many times a week. Some people do not have an air fryer, but we always like to remind them that anything that you do in an air fryer is easily done in an oven (since an air fryer is just a small contained convection oven). It is a lot more work to "cook" for the RUclips channel, and it doubles or triples my time to set and move cameras as I cook, to record and share with our subscribers. Which I understand you are not one of, but we do appreciate the feedback. Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
