  • Here I am mowing overgrown grass in real time. *Watch in 1080p 60 fps. I compiled some of my raw source video together to give you a real time, real sound look at mowing the really high stuff. My source is in 1080p 60 fps so I rendered it that way here too. I hope you enjoy. I will make sure to include raw video for upcoming uploads.
    For anyone curious, this was filmed with the Canon Vixia G30

      Monetized mowing vids are plentiful now and there are several good channels.
      Most of these people mow troubled properties for free, doing service for the community.
      Search free mowing on YT.
      Literally all are full yard service and quite satisfying to watch.
      And the channel owners appear to be really fine people.

  • @lidsman2221
    @lidsman2221 8 лет назад

    Great video. Please tell me what the difference is in normal viewing and 60 fps. I know I like the 60 fps better. I was also wondering when you are cutting tall grass that the mower still will leave grass sticking up then you have to go over it again to get it cut to the ground. Why does that happen?

    • @Something2LookAt
      @Something2LookAt  8 лет назад

      +lidsman2221 Well this mower is better than most on getting everything on one pass, but there is a limit. Really tall saplings get folded down against the ground by the front of the deck, so when the blades get there they don't touch. Then the sapling isn't released until the back of the deck passes. The bigger the deck, the less this happens, i.e., a bush hog deck. Very wide, it gets it all. 60 fps (frames per second) matches a computer screen's usual refresh rate. Most videos are 30 fps and not maximizing your computer's ability. Bluray is 1080p 60 fps for example. RUclips just started offering it last year, if your camera could record it, and your editor could render it. I always try to record my sources in 60 or 120 just to make sure my source is top quality. Then I decide how I want to render in the editor.

    People have asked in the comments several times why he hasn't got his mower cranked up to full throttle. I wonder if they ever took a mower through this kind of mess. Less RPMs means less likely to damage your machine or something else if you hit something you couldn't see. It's called, "proceeding with caution".

    Come on now At this point this guy just totally grass to be constantly driving around and searching for abandoned properties to mow 😆 and asking subscribers for leads on places like this that he can mow! Probably even for free now 😂. its the only way to explain how he's the only guy on RUclips consistently finding these properties. He saw how many views he got for the crazier taller mows and kept doing it to keep the viewers 😆 I guess us RUclips viewers dictate what videos they make fire us now. I'm feeling like you should do one of these fields completely and throughout with only a weed wacker! Yes muhahahahamuhhuahaha.(its my seriously evil laugh) 😈...😂

    Yeah all your videos are fun to watch. some time you surprise me with what you mow, like this over grow woody stuff. that not a inexpensive mower to be using to mow that stuff with. I know I have but not as much as you have. Its fun to see what it will do. Right now not much rain maybe half a day but the ground just suck it up. I have suspension seat insert. I just need to install it just remove the seat and bolt it in place, it will raise the seat up two inches. The lower seat cushion on the wildcat is thicker then on the tiger cat. What do the blades look like after doing yard like that??

    • @Something2LookAt
      @Something2LookAt  8 лет назад

      Yea, you know, I'll reply to this because you actually listen. And you actually have experience. You know the mower can take it. And you know there's a right and wrong way to mow stuff like this. Barreling into it at full speed would hurt the mower. I pick the right pace and it's based on a lot of experience. Nothing has ever broke on this mower and it's 3 years old. And I have mowed far worse with this mower. I only started filming it less than a year ago. I can put on a pretty good show without much risk to the mower. I know it looks devastating for the mower but it isn't. And the blades are no worse than mowing any kept up field. I really did mow regular yards after this.

    Was this a foreclosure or just someone who let their yard go?

      No, they were just away longer than they had expected to be.

      +Something 2LookAt Aye i just got my mower im scared to go trough all that high stuff you just whent trougth with that mower can it handle it.l good...or do you just say YOLO and go for it anyway lol? cause wouldn't it bend the blades and brake the spindels and stuff?

    • @Something2LookAt
      @Something2LookAt  8 лет назад

      chiripas Romero Just the grass isn't gonna bend a blade. It's tougher on the spindles and the engine but you mow this kind of stuff according to how heavy duty your mower is. i.e., a homeowner grade lawn tractor. You better go slow.

      +Something 2LookAt No i think my mower could handle it for sure its a scag V-ride 36in 19hp electric start kawasaki engine. But i bought it last week haven't used it cause i need to buy a new trailer and it only has 2 hours so far that y im scared but my house is 3.25 acres of only like 13% grass and all the rest is just stuff like in that video jaja 🔝 so thats why i fear going trougth it do you think it could handle it? I never passed a mower trougth there so there could be big rocks but at high setting it should pass over them without pinking them up right what do you think could it do what you did or not?

    I can't believe people let their yards grow up like this before mowing or hiring someone to mow it.

      Yes, it happens. But this particular yard was friends who went through an unexpected situation.
