Hey! I just became a U.S Citizen because of military service. On the website it says I have to submit my original Naturalization Certificate but I’m scared it will be lost in transit. Is it possible to send in a notarized copy of the paperwork?
No you need a birth certificate or equivalent (crba, naturalization cert, or certificate of citizenship) alongside your id. SSN card is considered secondary id if you do not have an id or have an expired or out of state.

You can get a certified copy from vital records/county clerk/health department etc.
You can always order one. Doesn't make any sense
a new one runs me like 15 or 40 bucks lol i dont remember which but ive got two new ones

No only the original certificate is accepted but you will get it back. If it does not get sent back you can contact the state department.

I only had to provide my social security card because my primary ID was from a different state.

I can use cash right for the passport then?
Yes...from what I understand the postal worker doing your paperwork can just take the cash and get you a postal money order.
At the agency you can pay in cash for the exact amount (no change given).
