My dear old Rocky (sadly no longer with us after 13.5 years) was as mad as the day we got him . A truly wonderful friend and companion we enjoyed long walks through the Kentish countryside, he enjoying every bush and burrow. Disappearing for 10 to 20 minutes if he picked up on a scent . Friendly enough with other dogs but wouldn't allow liberties to be taken . But he would gladly kill anything he came across . Its in their nature !
My niece bought a 4 month old pup which originally thought the puppy was a mini grehound mix until he started to hang around my other 2 dogs which I noticed a few traits of behavior more related to a terrier. The pup is snappy around 1 of my dogs and snares a lot , as it got older of 1 month, his look and build showed he is a Smooth Fox Terrier as he has already caught 2 mice in garage and bought them to me, lol. He has all the terrier traits and behavior , plus a WHOLE LOT OF ENERGY..
I have a fox terrier and their the sweetest dogs ever made I think If you want a nice little dog when get a fox terrier I know their known for hunting but keeping them as a pet is amazing you just need to be nice to them and take good care of them but you need a dog yard for them or else you're pretty much asking to lose them
Mine is weird, would never run away. One time she was accidentally locked outside the house after her walk (don't ask me how) and she patiently waited there until someone realized. One of the sweetest dogs I've ever been around too
I had the honour of opening some time with one of these dogs. They are infinitely happy just being with you, if you leave it they will bark without failing the entire time. Really a huge pain in the ass and went to the bathroom on the house repeatedly. That being said what a joy to be with, so happy spending time with you, so stubborn. But so loving to!!
thelocustemperor I have one too he's a Russian smooth fox terrier but I love mine whenever I go downstairs he always wonders what I'm doing and he decides to keep me in company but I love being whit him but whenever I leave him he always goes barking like an freaking maniac in the dog yard but I have no problem whit it
I had a mix between Fox and Bull Terrier. Didn't get alone with other dogs. Pitbulls. German Shepherds. Etc. He didn't care. I had to break up several fights, rescuing him from the bigger, more deadly dogs. Fiercely loyal. Does have a temper - bit me once - but I kicked him to the moon and he never repeated the offence, ever. He knew, without doubt, I was his "master" from that day forward. Had him when I was a teenager, so, my youthful energy and his energy were a good match. Terrible swimmer though. He kept splashing. I think he hated water. Otherwise, best dog ever. Lot of personality. Get one as a PUP so it can grow into the family. Don't get one if your old, fat and/or lazy. Get a bulldog if you're that sort of person.
You live alone, are childless, sad and lonely like me ? Want cheering up, want a reason to get out of the bed in the morning, can afford it, and want someone to take care of ? GET A FOX.
I have only had smooth fox terriers my entire life. Best little dogs in the world smart, kind and loyal

Is a Russian Smooth Fox Terrier different to other Smooth Fox Terriers?

I don't think you should own dogs.
I can't stand listening to these robot voices.
