Just watched the video, it was really interesting, being from the UK we don't have this type of lifestyle to look in on so thank you and look forward to seeing you again.
What an excellent educational program. It's just fantastic! I can't wait to share this with my grandchildren. They are always wondering why Papa is doing this or that. This will help them understand. Thanks fellas!
... Looks like it's gonna be a good series ..... Probably gonna ruffle a few feathers too ,, I guess that's OK though , we'll just pluck 'em and put what's left on the fire fer supper ... ... Subbed ...
I love it! I'm building my impersonation of a 1820-1840 free trapper. I'm trying to make everything I can by hand working off the old scetch books. It's harder than I thought, not the actual making and sewing, I love that part, but trying to be accurate and not Hollywood. Like my shooting bag, it's all hand made with no rivets but the leather itself might not pass muster. And like this beautiful Bowie I was given, it might be ok walking around rendezvous with it as long as you don't pull it out and show that big ol shinin' stainless blade lol. I'll get it all together eventually. I just don't want to be what the civil war reenactors call "farb" . you two look great
I needs tha lokation of that thar time masheen so's i kin come and joins ya! Ima fed up with thez fancy timez anymore. I'm a sure you can grizzz!! Watch yer top knotch!Great video! Looking forward to more.
REALLY like those carbine length muzzle loaders 👍🏼 A man starts off shooting whatever his uncle or roommate owns: a .38 or maybe a .357. A few semi autos. Then you try trap & skeet & it’s all about shotguns. Next you want an AR or AK. Then something strange happens. Pretty soon you want a late 19th Century lever gun. Or a cap n ball revolver from the mid-1800’s. The gun enthusiast illness is quite complete when you find yourself thinking “I’d like a black powder gun.” (even though they’re expensive)
Good video and a nice introduction to the ways of the old mountain men. You can count me as a subscriber. Looking forward to seeing more. How about an episode on your cutting tools and how you use them for various tasks. Wood processing, game processing and general camp chores.
I subscribed like what y'all are doing. I have a flintlock, and a cap ball 50 cal. Been working on getting my gear together for the same thing. I enjoyed the video. The next video show how to make chard punk wood. For when you run out of cotton material, I Carry both. Great video love y'all.
Mostly tan them or trade with natives, and as a last resort just scrap it. But that makes for a very uncomfortable garment. Although, beaver pelts probably would've been just scraped and dried and then stacked and bundled to be traded at the rendezvous.
That looking for beaver part had me cracking up because the ladies that were camming asked what they were doing an when they said they found it I thought they were talking about the women
As soon as you pulled out the CHAR, not charred. You proved how ignorant you are about this period of hustor and the skills and materials used. Pants didnt have fringes either.
Great video. Absolutely love how you presented this, very creative. I'll be watching for more. -Muddy Bear
Thanks for watching! We will be adding more videos soon!
Stray Dog and white wolf thanks for the video keep up up and I’ll be looking forward to next up load 💯

When they introduced themselves lol. “My names Dale, but you have to call me dragon”
These guys are great. I'm a student of Mountain Man Lore and this was special to me.
A good job and a great time. I do that very talk at schools. You both shine. Two Tales is my handle.
Excellent video on the life of the mountain man. Thanks

Good job on the video! Very entertaining. The sights on Stray Dogs gun was a little too modern though. Just nitpickin. I liked the video.
Both are very modern black powder hunting rifles.
They are not traditional style long guns.
I can actually picture meeting up with these two guys in the 1800s ....awesome video guys !
Loved it
Love you Straydog and White Wolf!

Thanks for the suggestions!
I love the video. But I was wondering how can I get as purdy as the two of you without getting shot at?
You have to take a lot of shots in this life to live life to its' fullest.
Don't walk out the door with your boo

My ancestor was Jim Bridger. This is cool to see!
That is freaking nuts.
oh my god these are the most badass dudes of all time
Would historic Mountain Men have tanned the hides, or just scraped them?

Yep
You gotta clean your barrel every time you use it. That black powder is corrosive.

The red underwear just isn't authentic for your depiction of the time ! “The first union suit was patented in 1868,”
In spanish...please...
If you go to the settings, you can add Spanish subtitles.
Si vas a la configuración, puedes agregar subtítulos en español.
