Hey, beginner question. What do mean all of those "add 5" od "add 7" ? Couln't find it anywhere and I hear that in all of your videos ;) Btw, great work!
Hey Dominik I'm two years late but, "add5" and "add7" means exactly what it says. Every scale is made up of what are called "intervals" (space between notes) consisting of the numbers 1-7 and 8 being the octave. 1 being the "root" or the "starting note" of the scale. The C major scale looks like this: C - D - E - F - G - A - B - C 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 So as he says with "Add 7" means adding the dominant 7th note of the scale to the chord. So if you have a C major chord of "C E G" which would mean adding B-flat as that is the dominant seventh of C major. So that's what that means. "Add 2" would mean adding the second note (D) to the chord, "Add 6" would mean adding the sixth note (A), etc. Hope that helps you understand that a bit better now.
Legend you are mate thanks for the tutorials mate
Hi! Great video. Was wondering if you'd do a tutorial for Turn your lights down low- Bob Marley & Lauryn Hill?
