Very nicely done, I was born in the Azores many years ago , al though I live far away these days not one day has gone by that these beautiful islands don't pop into my mind, every kid should be so lucky to be born in such a natures unique , clean & safe place... Thanks so much for the upload cant wait to get back there to help protect this paradise for future generations to enjoy .. :)
I hope you will be able to proceed with your plans! The islands and its inhabitants deserve it! I already saw so many changes on Sao Miguel in only 8 years! Take care!
@@Worldwanderista Not long ago most people didn't know these islands existed but lately there has been an explosion of interest from around the world which scares me, not because of the tourists but because of the greedy ones who want to go there & exploit them & with that comes all kinds of problems , pollution on land & water, criminal activity which follows the money I'm speaking of thefts & breaking & entries, over population & not just during summer months but also from people moving there building homes & destroying the land & natural beauty of these important & precious islands in the process. These types of places are disappearing around the globe we fight to protect lesser important things so the message to outsiders is leave it as you found it or don't come back, better yet just stay away.. & this all starts with the locals who live there & people like me who don't but were born there & visit yearly & the government of course... it will be very hard to keep these islands in balance I know but we must try for the good of nature & those who need nature to be truly happy like me & not just for humans but for other many-many life forms as well who call the Beautiful Azores their home on land as in the ocean .... again Obrigado for the upload .. from a very concerned Azorean who is willing to take up arms to protect the treasure that is the Nature Certified Azores islands .. you too Take Care :) .
I visited years ago, but you always seem to find places others don't know! That last place looks indeed like Jurassic Park! 😅 Did you encounter any dinosaurs?
Haha! No, luckily I did not encounter any dangerous species! Except for a very loud tourist who was really putting himself out there. It was a little ridiculous :D

Hello, what´s the name of the waterfall?
Which month you visited? Planning to visit end of september. Are the hiking trails difficult and long duration? As i will be with a 4 yr old :)
Which hiking trail you want to know? I went in September in 2015 and in May in 2023. The weather is always unpredictable!
