Just in case you are looking for more versions of this tune: The French know it as bourree d'avignon or bourree d'avignonez, written down by Philidor, while the Germans know it as "la bourree" by michael praetorius.

Have you ever uploaded Eastern Music? :P
The arrangement and playing is beautiful! I discovered this after uploading my interpretation and gave up uploading 'Parson's Farewell's. Thanks for uploading! I enjoyed both watching and hearing it!

I know this one best though the series Black Sails where it's redone with a more piratey feel.

This was very good, thank you. Is there anyone who knows anything about the origin or history of this song ? please write it down. Thank you very much. I heard this song in the TV series "Black Sails" and it immediately enchanted me.

Wonderful! Makes me want to dance.
Have you thought of performing some of Schmelzer's work?

  • @lucialp1937

Lot of similarity to Praetorius's "Bouree" from "Terpsichore".

@@reflexionamel9891 Other way around, Parson's Farewell is variation of Bourrée.
