Not sure why Klean Strip won't just be honest and tell you the percentage of HCl.

dont know but regardless their “trade secret” is out!

Because quality control raises the price. They don't want to be forced to keep a certain concentration range that is too small.

Solid work! Really appreciate the calculations!

Great video. I wonder if they keep on changing their concentration. So my bottle might be a different percent?

Thanks for the video. It's annoying that companies don't add the concentration on the bottle. I only found the sds with a range of 10%-30%. That range is waaaay too big imo. This should be illegal imo.
    Anyway. 27 likes for 27% 😅

The SDS just lists muriatic acid, but from what you can tell, is there anything else they put in here to make “90% less fumes”? Is it just the lower concentration?

Nice! The jug looks a little different than what they sell at home depot. But it might be the same. Ph is like that. The closer you get to nuetral 7 the faster it goes.

Lately, I noticed that muriatic acid have a yellow tone to it. Do you have any thoughts?

      Has

If it’s pure, I think Muriatic acid should be colorless. I think any yellow tint is probably due to some Fe(III) or other transition metal impurities

Or just dilute the acid by 1/10,000 and run a chloride analysis bingo exact Normality or Molarity for you younger people. Same for all mineral acids, I used to standardize my sulfuric to .0200N this way also.

Very stupid to prank everyone, very irresponsible. You know kids will see this video and copy what you did. This is careless. These chemicals are toxic and fatal. Why would you do this?!

But the science is important for kids to learn, and he does tell you what's dangerous.
