Hey guys! I uploaded my first performance of this song here: bit.ly/2xSd0j2 Find the sheet music & more here: here: ➢ Sheet music: mnot.es/2ky49ia ➢ Overview of all my sheet music: bit.ly/2Ea0M9j ➢ Learn to play the piano online with flowkey, an easy and interactive app: go.flowkey.com/yannick * ➢ Support me with a donation: bit.ly/donationys ➢ Facebook: bit.do/facebook-ys ➢ Instagram: bit.ly/ysinst I used the exact sheet music of this Synthesia tutorial.
Most people don't understand how close the relationship is between ALOT of todays metal and hard rock and the classical music of old really is. Mozart, Bach and Beethoven are examples of Heavy Metal from the old days
All music has ties in many, many different genres, because all musicians pull inspiration from everywhere. Metallica have clear roots in classical, blues, country and even some pop/funk, as well as other metal and rock bands. The same can be said with many, many artists. It's all linked in some way.
Thank you, Ester! There is actually a performance of this cover on my channel as well since the audio of this one here really sucks. If you're interested :)
I don't get your comment, sorry. I understand you think there are wrong notes? I can just tell you I worked with Metallicas original licensed sheet music. So either I transfered somthing wrong or Metallica made a mistake :)
@@YannickStreibert the notes that play bass are not the same, but octave below, it is playing not D# B in the first riff, but B B B B B F# F# F# It is nothing critical, but Cliff liked to go another way with bass and I adore this method
@powerofkamchatka6938 no worries, feel free for every feedback👍 quite interesting to hear that, thanks for letting me know. Can you give me an exact time in the video? So I can recheck

Metal is classical music, just unfiltered.
Looking at the Synthesia, the fast octaves look tiring, especially when jumping to another note!
They are really tiring and require a good warmup. But should be absolutely ok for an experienced player like you :)
Every metallica instrumental works great on piano
I agree with you :) The most difficult one for me is To Live is to Die. Haven't figured out how to do that one yet
