YOOOOOO, uh, Mario Party but a bit out of order again, oh well, surely you're still down to watch the amazing Mario Party 1 game again. I'm so glad people are playing Mario Party 1 again after it got released on Switch Online. Everyone might hate how brutal it is, but for me, that's what makes it so special.
The AI were harsh

I bet y'all wil enjoy Mario Party DS! It's pretty freaking chaotic!
A couple examples: DS is the only Mario Party in which a hidden block might _take a Star away!_ Really, Stars come and go pretty quickly in that game, partly due to how bloody cheap the items are (the Star Pipe only costs 15). The logic was probably to make it more fast-paced for the sake of being a handheld game, as even the default turn count is halved to 10.

As somebody who grew up on the 64 with my brother in the early to mid 2000's, lemme tell ya: every game on the N64 is exceedingly brutal.
I know for a fact that in almost every game me and my brother played, losing was absolutely devastating to the point that my brother wanted to get rid of the 64 and wanted to always have the parents give me a disadvantage because the games, let alone losing, were that cutthroat and soul crushing.
There was one game called Perfect Dark (it's on the Xbox store now), but when I was 6 and he was 4 (we were definitely smart for our age and knew how to play a lot of the more complex games), I used to spawn camp him with the laptop gun to where he'd die instantly after respawning. He used to rage so hard and then shift to emotional deadness

Ah yes, the wild western days of Mario Party. Where Chance Time truly decides your fate and the outcome of any Mario Party.
Played this game recently for the 1st time, chance time got me a free star : )
Where Chance Time is actually Skill Time with no RNG whatsoever.
1:32 everything from the voice take to the smooth editing and the basic punchline were pretty effective at selling this Ragnarok game.
Truly our weekly suffering being dragged into the pits of the sponsor segment were not in vain!

Heres how to unlock the secret boards btw:
-bowsers magma mountain: clear every board, then buy it in the shop for 980 coins
-eternal star: beat every board (including bowsers magma mountain) and have 100 stars collected in total.

The original Mario party games are easily the most unbalanced and unfair, but that makes them incredibly fun to play. Can’t wait for the third one (and I definitely wish the GameCube mario party and other game in general come to the switch, those were a joyride)
