How its changed since your original visit, interesting explore Connor, apologies for missing the premiere, didn't get the notification (as usual!) ! I can never understand why these places get left to decay, after such a vast investment ?

Majority of that road is like that full of abandoned mansions, Tony Blair's government passed laws to take empty properties and force the owners to either sell,rent or give them to local authorities and yet thousands and thousands of homes across the country are left empty decaying while people are living on streets or charged excessive rents. Disgrace!

Any reason why those to mansions were abandoned??
Because the owners are rich Arabs,Russians amongst many more, they are money laundering! Lots of dirty money being laundered through property. They have no intention of living in them, most of the properties on this road are in this state. There are laws that councils can take action to either force the owner to sell,rent out or give up the property to local authorities but I guess finding the owners is the first mission and that's proving difficult especially when the owner has never stepped foot in this country.
All the properties on Elephant park in Elephant and Castle in London which replaced the big council estate were snapped up and sold in Singapore before anybody in the UK could have a chance to make an offer and guess what? Most of them are empty too! So this is why we have a housing crisis and unaffordable housing in the UK! Also most of the mansions on this road are only half built or fitted out inside, clearly no intentions of being lived in.
