The good news is you can get a "pen" experience with a whole spectrum of iPads, just make sure that the one you buy is compatible. The only emulator that we potentially might have a harder time with if/when it ever comes to the App store would be Switch and maybe PS2... Maybe some Wii U titles as well but not the majority? Anything else would be fine. Apple also employs very intricate ram management so I'd assume even the later systems to do fine with shader cache and whatnot. The challenge would most likely be more along the lines of finding the right developers to take advantage of Apple's ram management system but there are a lot of very intelligent people out there so time will tell. Edit: In other words, I don't know that paying the overcharged premium for 16gb is worth, based on the sheer amount of time it will most likely take for options that we don't have to become available on iPads. If you're buying an iPad thinking you could upgrade in 4-5 years, don't have concern over it. If you're buying thinking you'll have at least 10 years with this machine and would want to emulate Switch in the future... It's still a gamble but I could see the 16gb give you obvious advantages down the road. I hope this helps and sorry for wall-of-text!
@@GameTechTalk I’m still stuck haha, debating to upgrade my 2018 12.9 pro to either 1tb 11” or the base 13”. I do plan to keep it as long as I can. What are your thoughts on it?
@@runeass @runeass I had that same internal battle. I ordered the 13 256gb and then I was like: "Ohh dang, should I have gone 1tb, should I have gone 11." I ended up rationalizing it and made my bro change his 1tb to 256gb and he's happy he did. The upcharge is just too significant. The extra core, space and ram are fun to have but let's be real, we'd be paying 50% upcharge on 1-5% use case scenarios? And when we really stop and wonder, it is obviously designed to rack in more profit, not offer flexibility. 20-25% uptick would've been: "Hey just make it how you feel", not 50%. So Apple making those changes is a willingful decision to induce FOMO. When coming to that conclusion, my choice was clear. Ultimately, as an editor, GPU was more important for me and that doesn't change so I stuck with 256gb and I bought this: geni.us/809Bzv (affiliated). This is such a game changer that 256gb is not even any semblance of a concern and with FCP2, I'll be able to edit off it so yeah. Best decision I made. As for 11 vs 13, I think it all comes down to "lifestyle" preferences. I like bigger screen and don't mind the extra weight but I did hesitate for about 37 secs if portability was more my jam, turns out it isn't. I hope this helps and again, sorry for wall-of-text #2! 🤣
A lot of people want iPad OS to blow up and for iPads to have a proper MacOS experience. I doubt it'll happen but I can understand... having this much power without a better suited operating system is a bit of a letdown but if dealing with one app at a time, it's still quite epic and powerful.

@@GameTechTalk thank you for being active replying now want to buy this ....last question hahaha wich controller is best for the 11 inch on your same set up is it playable or is it heavy will buy m4 because of your video i want a same set up like you
@@PInoyHenyoRito I personally prefer the Galileo G8 with it but the X2s is surprisingly feasible if you prefer to not have to mod the controller.
With that said, one feels more amateurish than the other whereas the Galileo G8 feels like a proper handheld solution albeit with a bit of extra effort. I hope this helps!
Thank you so much brother
For emulation, the tabs9 is just better. It's actually no contest. Better aspect ratio as well. I play gamecube, ps2, even switch games on my tab s9
I have the Tab S7 Plus and S8 Ultra. I was going to buy the Tab S9 but decided I was going a bit overboard 😅 . They are great products for sure and I think I’ll have no choice when a Tab10 is up on the market. DeX is crazy good, the panel is, it’s Android, Snapdragon’s 8 Gen is stupid efficient and powerful. Yes, I agree it’s great stuff but the iPad is just as awesome in its own rights, you just found what works best for you and that is why choice is important!
@@GameTechTalk couldn't have said it better!
iPad is okay, i have one but I rather have a android tablet, emulating nswitch would be so cool
They both have their qualities and benefits over one another. The iPad Pro is part of my production tool at this point but for games and entertainment, I 100% agree, I prefer Android as well.
Cool
The M1 iPad Air was overkill. 😂
Lots of overkill with Apple but I think they feel the heat from Qualcomm in particular so they need to flex a bit. Releasing that M3 barely what, 4 months after top M2s was a bit strange and I feel like they alienated M3 again with releasing M4.
@@GameTechTalk Apple is about to release the M4 Extreme.
@@JayzBeerz 🤣 I'd say don't jinx it but lol, you're right, the damn thing is probably 3-4 months away from being announced. iPhone 16 Pro Max now equipped with M4 chips -_-'
@@GameTechTalk really M4 chip in a phone. Wow. I saw videos months ago about all the M4 chips coming out soon.
Will emulator use more than 8gb of ram ?

No.
Thanks for engaging!
Oh hello no, respect to it as a machine but not as a software😢
A lot of people want iPad OS to blow up and for iPads to have a proper MacOS experience. I doubt it'll happen but I can understand... having this much power without a better suited operating system is a bit of a letdown but if dealing with one app at a time, it's still quite epic and powerful.
@@GameTechTalk I agree they won’t make a device to compete with its own products. iPad is only meant for creative professionals like myself. iPad is a great tool if use to its full potential also has learning curve as well. Not for everyone for sure.
wow. You can pronounce Arch properly!
😂 We'll have to thank the french portion of my brain because that's how "ch" is pronounced in the language I grew up on. I'll happily take the compliment though. Thanks😊
First! 🥇
Yes you are, always!
still no jit. Android is just better. All that power is useless
I hear you and I think a lot of iPad users are frustrated with the software and OS situation but I do think, at least to some extent, that the hardware quality speaks for itself.
@@RandomUser-tj3mg there is jit using trollstore, and altstore there’s so many ways to enable jit thru jailbreak and none jailbroken devices meanwhile sometimes andriod require root
Meh...
Tks for watching!
@@GameTechTalk Was not for ur video, just another overkill tech that can't even run AAA games or take full advantage of all that power. I would much rather get the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra for video content, especially with expandable storage and I can actually drag and drop my 4K movies / series collection to watch anywhere anytime. Larger widescreen... oh! Waterproof too. All for less than the cheapest iPad model.
