I saw them in Chile a couple of years ago. I'm not even from Chile, but they weren't coming to my country, so I bought the tickets and went there just for them. It was the single most incredible experience of my life. You can't imagine their energy by only watching live vids. I've watched their live concerts for years and let me tell you, I was expecting that energy that I saw on the vids, but they just surpassed every single expectation.
In regards to post covid opportunities, they're currently on the bill for the 3rd day of Hell Fest in France 2021. They'll be followed by Korn, and SOAD but we knew who the real GOAT will be on the stage that night.
They are just unbelievable live. I've been to about 20 of their gigs but was never disappointed. I always walk out with a soaked T-shirt and I can literally squeeze out a litre of sweat. Especially at festivals, you can see the whole crowd of like 50,000 people head banging synchronously. They also have this thing called "Koi no omajinai" where everyone has to do this gesture together when Nao tell us to, so you'll have to remember this before you go see them. "Shimi" means stain in Japanese, and they always start by saying "Let's make a fxxking deep stain (shimi) in our memories here together!". So yeah, it's one of the popular live songs but to be honest, all of their songs are good live so any suggestion you get won't be wrong.
So I guess you're Japanese! So lucky, I never got to see them live cause they almost never tour outside of Japan , and when I went to Japan for a month they were on hiatus :'(
@@FlipperWolf Yes I am ;) I think I applied to more than 100 lives but it's almost impossible to get their tickets. I mainly saw them in festivals or paid extra to get tickets the bad way. That's too bad.. They have been on hiatus several times so it's not too rare but I feel for you.

I saw these guys last year at the great satsumarian hestival (which was on an active volcano; figured if i went to japan i had to see these guys) and hands down was one of the best live shows I have ever seen in 20 years of metal shows. They sounded just as good if not better live and so much energy. The crowd are just so in sync with all the different parts of the songs that it was like being part of a single entity, moshing at the exact time, doing the moves from the video clips etc, it was so surreal, easily the best set of fans i have encountered. The interaction of the band between songs is so good too, genuinely hilarious (though you would have to understand japanese ;) ). Noa chan was basically a god there too, the interaction with the crowd created such an awesome vibe
I just want to go back to 10 years ago when I first discovered them. I wasn’t ready for any of their songs, mind blowing experience for a middle schooler that was into more of an mellow rocknroll (J-rock in general) at the time.I went around so many CD shops to find their albums but MTH almost never resell their old ones. I would go to big festivals in Japan that slipknot would come to, and almost always they were a part of it. They are totally awesome. I remember a joke they told on stage, might be some lost in translation but ill try and convey it here lol So among the bands at the festival, slipknot was one of the headliners. I think the other was slayer or motorhead? Anyway another popular Japanese band that attends these festivals a lot is "Man with a mission", a band of guys all wearing wolf masks(they are also pretty good, not really metal but good). So slipknot and Man with a mission are both bands that wear masks, and Ryo comes out on stage and says they are the third Kaburimono band today. Kaburimono = wearing a mask or putting something over your head, obviously they are not wearing masks, but their head is covered... as in not circumcised! Yea its a dick joke, everyone laughed then the music was wild.
From wut i learn from watching MTH past live event, the color of floodlights represent different tempo of music. Red light is Headbang time / Berserk. Blue light is mellow. White light is Happy or excited vibe *** Forget to warn u all, i didnt expect u find their Live video*** 🤘🙅🤘
After hearing MTH will be at Hellfest 2021, I looked up the lineup. Another Japanese band called Envy, is playing also. You guys need to look them up ASAP.
I have seen them this year in Cologne. This was only their second Concert in Germany and my 14 year old daughter was with me! What can I say about it? It was the best f… concert I ever was! (And I saw over 100 in my life for sure!) 90 Minutes complete insanity! In Germany not in Japan! Never seen a German crowd going as wild as in this concert! The floor of the venue was wet afterwards from the sweat!!! And we both had Corona one week later, but it was worth it!🤷♂️😂 If you have the opportunity to see them go for it It’s a one in a Lifetime experience!
There may be exceptions, but most decent Japanese bands sound good live, because it is a real priority for them, and they also have tons of good sound engineers. It may be cultural--they really respect their fans, unlike a lot of American artists that sort of just put up with us.

I was there in 2017 and tried to get tickets for Osaka but I found out that they only sell tickets via phone app and you need a japanese phone number to buy one of those. At the airport i got a SIM card for mobile data and i just tried but it didnt work. I guess you need to have a japanese friend or find somebody who buys the tickets for you. BTW I cant read japanese, all the information i got was from google translate^^
Yup they are the best live band I have ever watched live. I saw them at Fuji Rock 2018. Man... they sound better live. I really recommend you to see them live. Come to Japan when you can again!

I miss them when they come to France at the Hellfest 2013 (or something like that) but they come back next year and I'll be there and on the first place because I've been waiting since 13 or 14 years to see theme !!!! Try Crossfaith - "Countdown To Hell" Official Live Music Video" and you will not be dissapointed ! Hi I'm from New Brunswick Canada. Looks like almost a year since this was posted. We get to take our masks off this Friday. T Concerts twice postponed now. Knotfest Japan in March 22 and Hellfest France in June 22. MTH is booked for both ahhh I'm still waiting. Traveled to France and Europe before but never Japan!!

As amazing as this band is, this video is from Air Jam 2011, they weren't even the headliners. A band called Hi-Standard headlines every Air Jam show and invites guests such as Maximum. Now, Hi-Standard is a different kind of band all together, they are punkish instead of metal but they are no less talented. In fact, they are my favorite band ever...you need to watch some Air Jam footage of Hi-Standard.
Ue-Chan is pronounced 'way-chaw(n*)'. You can hear Nao say it at the end of the "Maximum the Hormone II" video when they're eating ramen. *the Japanese 'n' by itself (at the end of syllables) is pronounced in the back of your throat, so it can sometimes be barely audible. Imagine saying "sing" but don't pronounce the 'g' at all. Not like the word "sin" - where the 'n' is pronounced with your tongue behind your front teeth - but with the back of your tongue closing your throat.
Okay so first you should definitely go to japan, I've gone 5 times now and seen around 20 bands at different random venues and have yet to see a bad show. Japanese are total tech geeks and will go without food to have the best equipment. Now for the bad news, though mth totally perform, they don't really do it consistently, they release show information on their Japanese fan page, and worst of all you have to apply for a lottery in order to win an opportunity to buy tickets. It's annoying. Your best bet is to catch em on a festival or if they randomly perform in a different country. Wirhout a doubt go to japan though. Food is amazing, people are soooo friendly, and without exaggeration there's 1000s of small venues where you pay 20 bucks and you'll see 3 to 5 bands in a night and they host shows 3 nights a week. I can't wait to travel abroad again.

Concerts twice postponed now. Knotfest Japan in March 22 and Hellfest France in June 22. MTH is booked for both ahhh I'm still waiting. Traveled to France and Europe before but never Japan!!

As amazing as this band is, this video is from Air Jam 2011, they weren't even the headliners. A band called Hi-Standard headlines every Air Jam show and invites guests such as Maximum. Now, Hi-Standard is a different kind of band all together, they are punkish instead of metal but they are no less talented. In fact, they are my favorite band ever...you need to watch some Air Jam footage of Hi-Standard.

Ue-Chan is pronounced 'way-chaw(n*)'. You can hear Nao say it at the end of the "Maximum the Hormone II" video when they're eating ramen.
*the Japanese 'n' by itself (at the end of syllables) is pronounced in the back of your throat, so it can sometimes be barely audible. Imagine saying "sing" but don't pronounce the 'g' at all. Not like the word "sin" - where the 'n' is pronounced with your tongue behind your front teeth - but with the back of your tongue closing your throat.

Okay so first you should definitely go to japan, I've gone 5 times now and seen around 20 bands at different random venues and have yet to see a bad show. Japanese are total tech geeks and will go without food to have the best equipment.
Now for the bad news, though mth totally perform, they don't really do it consistently, they release show information on their Japanese fan page, and worst of all you have to apply for a lottery in order to win an opportunity to buy tickets. It's annoying. Your best bet is to catch em on a festival or if they randomly perform in a different country.
Wirhout a doubt go to japan though. Food is amazing, people are soooo friendly, and without exaggeration there's 1000s of small venues where you pay 20 bucks and you'll see 3 to 5 bands in a night and they host shows 3 nights a week. I can't wait to travel abroad again.
That sounds amzing! That is the plan for sure once this rona thing is over with. That sucks about Maximum 😢 but we will find a way!
