Hi Renea!!! Hi Tracy!!! I have never tasted Ham broth. That's a good idea. Your giving me some really nice ideas!!! I Thank you...thats why I like your channel you tell us step by step what to do. Your a good cook. Great video my friend!!!...
I'm a fairly seasoned canner, and am still learning new things/techniques from videos like yours. I just started preserving canned meats and making my own broths this year! Thank you Ranae, for your easy, peas instructional videos! ❤️
Living in the South( originally from PA), a delicious southern dish is Chicken Pastry. I use my ham broth ( made like yours) to make Ham Pastry. My boys love it! Haven't tried canning it...I normally freeze mine...looks delicious!
Good Morning , Renea. Your ham broth is so beautiful . Going to be delicious to cook . Pea soup , different kinds of bean soup . I bet it would be good .To cook cabbage and greens . In the ham broth . Thanks for sharing your canning experience . So that we may learn how to do Canning . Have A Beautiful Day Renea And Family .🥰🌹🥰🌹🥰🌹🥰🌹🥰🌹🥰🌹
I've been needing to do this for a while now. I had 2 ham bones in the freezer already and now a 3rd since we had a ham on Sunday. We do like ham and bean soup, but I've had to use my chicken broth for mine, which is fine, but I bet this will be even better.
Sweet lady you done it again love watching you and that kitchen you just made liquid Gold that go good with beans and peas oh yes it will love the video it looks really good but everything you do is good I'm talking about getting a facelift from that thing I done some canning one day and forgot and well you know how that story went lol you sure can get a facelift I mean it ain't like you know that I could have used one cuz Lord knows I need all the help I can get LOL but anyway love your videos see you in your next one God bless you love you
Nothing goes to waste! I love it. I do the same thing, but with different seasonings (I'm going to try yours). Sometimes when I can mine, I add 1 cup dry 15 bean soup mix to the bottom of each jar, a few chunks of ham and then top it off with broth. It makes a super condensed, yummy, fast and easy soup.
Hi ladies! The ham broth looks delicious. If I don’t make broth with the ham bone, I will put it in a pot of beans...gives it a wonderful flavor. Have a blessed day!!
@@LittleVillageHomestead yeah right. Nummy Hello Sir. Pea soup sticks to your ribs. I'd have to get my truck driver training out, and 'trip planning'. too bad! Waah!
I just canned 14 qts of chicken broth cuz we had smoked chicken for thanksgiving. Then went on to can 8 1/2 pts of salsa, and 8 pints spaghetti meat sauce. So I too have been busy. Ham for Christmas so I will do ham broth then. Love your videos. Just shared your videos with my 19 year old daughter cuz she is wanting to learn to cook more.
I love pea soup but I also would make navy bean soup with the hambone. Turmeric is a great idea, that broth is gonna be awesome. I have never tried cumin in my bean soup, but I’ll give it a try next time I make bean soup. I made vegetable beef soup last week and I made a broth with a beef bone as a starter. I never make soup without a bone.
Great vid Renae! Loved hearing the pings. And hey, wow, you got a new funnel. But I might miss you saying.."Oh, I hate this thing". Referring to the old one! LOL. Have a great day. Thanx for sharing.
When your daughter makes the split pea soup I’d like to see the recipe I’ve been dying for a nice bowl I split pea soup for the winner also. Interested in and your bean soup to
Good morning Renea!!! I am going to be making ham broth this week and I was wondering, what is the size of your stock pot? because I only want to do one cannerful. I've made beef bone broth in an Oster roaster and it was just too much at one time. I do have a couple of stock pots like yours but I was wondering what size that was because to do one canner is enough to do it one time! Wears me out! I love your channel and I love watching your videos! Keep up the great work! ❤️
Love this, I'm new to pressure canning...so far I've canned chicken and now turkey bone broth I have a question...if I made this ham broth could I use this broth instead of water when I can navy bean soup?
Absolutely, that’s what I do every time. Some diced carrot, onion, and celery in the jar, the beans, and top with this broth to one-inch headspace. I do pints since it makes easy and fast lunches at work considering it’s just pop the lid, microwave, and enjoy. I always have it on my shelf since it’s one of my favorite soups. 😊
Sweet basil goes great with peas too.
I'm with your neighbor.......no pea soup! I do like bean soup 😁
You just cannot beat homemade broth! What you just canned up is gorgeous.
I appreciate your videos so much! I have a lot to learn when it comes to the kitchen, & you make things so simple. Thank you ❤️❤️

Wonderful video thank you
Beautiful stock. I had a very small turkey this year; 14lbs, and got 16 pints of stock!

Renee, I agree with your friend on pea soup 🤢
Hurraww! I love pea soup. When do I come over? Not too thick; not too watery.
Anytime! She makes the best pea soup ever...

looks so good. So if I do a whole chicken in a instant pot how can I make the chicken broth from that?
Use the bones and add the veggies to it and put it on slow cook.
@@LittleVillageHomestead would I use the water from the instant pot

I used a 10 quart stock pot and it was a perfect 7 quarts when all done.
That brother looks absolutely delicious.

I have a pressure cooker just like yours same size can I can bone broth in iy
Yes
How about doing it at least overnight in a crockpot would that work
I do have a question; I thought that it wasn't recommended to can cured meats? Does that not hold true for the broth/stock? TYIA
Your not canning the meat, You are canning the broth.
