yes, if when you face evil and know that our lord has your back (& in all directions, dimensions & planes)
like when facing or considering death, it puts things in perspective to where we can let the non-vital trifling concerns go....
Edit: i love how when the virus hit & operations were put in lockdown, instead of going on vacation/sabbatical,
      he writes a book,
also love how his ego is put in check by his faith, prayers, confessions & ministerial duties.
he was born for this role,
im not born or raised catholic but have respect for the integrity of any man or woman who humbly & truly serves god.🙏🌱🐾👣🌿🕊️🌎☀️💟

It's not relevant to the video, and I can't speak for him, but I imagine it's because it's one of the allowed forms of reception in the Latin Rite.

I saw the notification for your other message, but don't see it here. Anyway, here's what you said:
"Roman & Eastern Catholics do not claim authority from original rituals of the pre schism Church. Orthodox rituals have not innovated since that time. The question of 'authority' is particularly important in exorcism. Every Orthodox Christian is under the spiritual care of a Priest with 'full direct canonical authority' to perform exorcisms without relying upon Episcopal sanction. This is not the case in the Roman or Uniate Catholic Churches. In addition to this, every Orthodox Christian is fully exorcised by ritual at Baptism. This authority is powerful as it relies upon the full authority of parents and God Parents to operate. This is not the case in the Roman Church. A baptismal exorcism adds further protection from possession for the individual concerned. Catholics, regardless of the Rite practiced report that exorcisms can take weeks, months and even years to successfully conclude. There are no such reports coming from the Orthodox Church."
      ***
      > "Roman & Eastern Catholics do not claim authority from original rituals of the pre schism Church"
I don't even know what this means.
      > "Orthodox rituals have not innovated since that time"
The rites of the Church have always developed. They didn't use the Liturgy of St. Basil at the Last Supper!
Even if it were the case that the Eastern Church hasn't changed so much as an Iota, why would development prior to the Schism be okay, but development afterwards be bad?
      > "The question of 'authority' is particularly important in exorcism. Every Orthodox Christian is under the spiritual care of a Priest with 'full direct canonical authority' to perform exorcisms without relying upon Episcopal sanction. This is not the case in the Roman or Uniate Catholic Churches."
Why is Episcopal oversight such a bad thing? St. Ignatius of Antioch said "Do nothing without the Bishop"...
      > "In addition to this, every Orthodox Christian is fully exorcised by ritual at Baptism. This authority is powerful as it relies upon the full authority of parents and God Parents to operate. This is not the case in the Roman Church. A baptismal exorcism adds further protection from possession for the individual concerned."
Are you implying that Eastern Orthodox Christians therefore have a reduced need of Exorcism? I hope you have some statistics to back that up. However, even if you could show that there were fewer exorcisms, that wouldn't necessarily mean that fewer were needed.
I've recently been to baptisms in the Eastern Rite and Latin Rite (both Ordinary and Extraordinary Forms). They all had exorcisms. My son shouted to high heaven throughout his!
      > "Catholics, regardless of the Rite practiced report that exorcisms can take weeks, months and even years to successfully conclude. There are no such reports coming from the Orthodox Church."
All this seems very anecdotal. From where are you getting these "reports"?!

Isn't it true that almost always when a person is being oppressed by a demon it is a combination of both physical and spiritual causes which is harassing them and their family in repeated similar negative to them experience? Seems to me that it would be a very rare case that a person receiving the sacrament of exorcism would only be showing spiritual signs of being under the influence of a demon unless they were nearing the end of an average life span during their lifetime since most people under that kind of influence would probable be very resistant to the idea of receiving the sacrament of exorcism for themselves. In fact most of the time a person like that would be often baseless accusing others of needing to be exorcised when asking a priest like father Lampert to fix them. Like for example if a person at home whenever they see any child wearing a Harry Potter costume whom is walking up to their door during Hallowe'en if they were to start automatic feeling angry at the child while judging them as being already possessed by a demon while they are failing to focus more on all that is good instead.

Pints with Jack I don't believe in a devil. As for saying Father Vince seems sincere (unlike wealthy US televangelists with their own private jets) that's obviously just my impression. It can't be proved.

@@aerdenhouttimes9668 So you have no evidence to back up your defamatory assessment? Why say it then? You don't even seem convinced of it yourself! You can see the difference between prosperity preacher living in his million dollar mansion and an Indianapolis diocesan priest, right? Apples and oranges.
