Well they did like her voice initially, she got signed by her rendition of Whitney's I've got nothing in her deep natural voice and where gonna promote her as a younger Sheryl Crowe. Because of the rise of pop and with the success of the Backstreet boys, they switched gears especially since she can dance. She spent a year with Eric White to train her voice to sound pop because she had the look of an innocent girl that shouldn't have a mature voice like she did, didn't fit their image of the idea American girl that they were trying to appeal to.
