Jean Bugatti died testing the type 57 tank bodied racer the test was over and he said one last run and the crash happened who knew what else he would've achieved in automotive if he lived longer. It's supposed to be Jean narrating it.
I found the mystery of the 57453 very interesting so I started looking into it, and someone seems to have found a lead on what seems to have been the car altered or changed when it had sold to a wealthy man in Brussels. It was then stolen and crashed by a soldier in 1946. It was then recovered and restored without the engine and placed in a showroom, and then disappeared from the showroom when the wealthy man died. The chassis with the number 57453 was found on a different Bugatti sold to an Italio-American in the US. This is what I've gathered from lightly looking into it, and extremely interesting history and could very well be what actually happened to the 'La Voiture Noire', or perhaps it is still out there scraped or sitting out of sight for the last 80 years. Since it disappeared on the train on 18th February 1941, I'm very interested as to if or when it'll be found.

Awesome story but not impressed with the design. Still too close to the cillowett of the Chiron. It's like they're being lazy in the design studio and giving it the same treatment like they did with Lamborghini and all of the variations of the Aventador. The Bugatti Divo is a prime example of that since that was revealed just last summer. If it's truly a car worth millions, in my eyes it's pretty hard to justify the worth when a redesign of a car comes out not even a year later.

I think it's not the looks or engine of this car but the legend it represents that is Jean Bugatti's own type 57 Atlantic ' La Voiture Noire'. , And that's why it's costly.

This is an absolute masterpiece. Has to be one of the three best looking cars of this decade and more. Really a masteful design. Grand in its simplicity. Clean essential lines, perfect proportion and elegant yet aggressive presence.

I will probably never see a bugatti with my bare eyes since I am not really living in the US or in west part of EU, but I loved this commercial. I loved how they talked about their history, they mentioned his father and brother. Also mentioned all the other classics he designed and built (all of the absolutely gorgeous if you ask me tbh). I was in love with The Atlantic since the first day I've seen the designs of that piece of art. And know I know that it also has a special place in their hearts aswell, I know that the new car will be better than any other. We all know that Bugatti is kind of done with their engineering masterpieces. They were the first ones to break the 300Mph barrier and as they said it before, they will lay down and let their designs talk. Either way, they will make great cars. They always did, and they wil always do. At this point, if VW ever decides to shutdown or sell the brand to someoneelse, it will be someone that loves cars and loves and understands how important Bugatti was to cars of this era and cars of all eras really. They achieved that. Bugatti will be remembered as the beautiful car maker as well as the engineering masterpiece maker. They will be remembered as making timeless cars. I don't know why I am a bit emotional about this but I always loved Bugatti for what they offered and and I always loved the competetion with the others. If you understand the story and understand what the Original Atlantic meant to Bugattis history, then you will understand what La Voiture Noire means in today's age. Da Vinci didn't make the Mona Lisa to imitate or "Put a bodykit" on self portraits. Rembrandt didn't make sculptures to put a Luxury bodykit on other sculptures/Art pieces. Tbh is not a bodykit, the chassis has been elongated, the transmission have to be reworked to the extra lengh, suspension had to be changed due to extra weight, the shaft is completely new. So it only used the engine of the chiron and some more mechanical parts like brakes etc. The rest is all new.

Ferrallezz the divo is the uglyist Bugatti made but can respect specs but looks not so much the body line I’ll say are a beauty but what ruin the car was the divo front that what through me off I would have been fine with them using a Chiron front instead of a divo which was their race car and focused more on aerodynamics than luxury which why the Chiron front would look fitting for the name

I will probably never see a bugatti with my bare eyes since I am not really living in the US or in west part of EU, but I loved this commercial. I loved how they talked about their history, they mentioned his father and brother. Also mentioned all the other classics he designed and built (all of the absolutely gorgeous if you ask me tbh). I was in love with The Atlantic since the first day I've seen the designs of that piece of art. And know I know that it also has a special place in their hearts aswell, I know that the new car will be better than any other. We all know that Bugatti is kind of done with their engineering masterpieces. They were the first ones to break the 300Mph barrier and as they said it before, they will lay down and let their designs talk.
Either way, they will make great cars. They always did, and they wil always do. At this point, if VW ever decides to shutdown or sell the brand to someoneelse, it will be someone that loves cars and loves and understands how important Bugatti was to cars of this era and cars of all eras really. They achieved that. Bugatti will be remembered as the beautiful car maker as well as the engineering masterpiece maker. They will be remembered as making timeless cars. I don't know why I am a bit emotional about this but I always loved Bugatti for what they offered and and I always loved the competetion with the others.
And the brand is not even dead bruh, this commercial was amazinga af man I tell you this is how the other luxury brands should do their commercials. They should also make movies about their histories because we all know that it is hard work to make a car company happen. Especially a hypercar company rather than a normal car company.
Im and will always be a ferrari fan...but damn this video just gave me goosebumps like never before...just breathtaking

Not really it's the story behind it, it's not just about the engine, Bugatti is going back to its old days...Coach building, they take the engine from a car but design the car for no one or nothing else than enjoying what it is. Let's be honest the Chiron engine has pushed all limits that they need space age technology to even get to 300mph... La Voiture Noire is not just a bodykit, it's a tribute. If you understand the story and understand what the Original Atlantic meant to Bugattis history, then you will understand what La Voiture Noire means in today's age. Da Vinci didn't make the Mona Lisa to imitate or "Put a bodykit" on self portraits. Rembrandt didn't make sculptures to put a Luxury bodykit on other sculptures/Art pieces. Where else are you going to see a car that looks like La Voiture Noire

@@johnwick5249 A body kit is different to a totally new design and on top it is different as it may be faster with the design but Bugatti has to put a limiter as it is too fast. You have to admit that it is a stunning car

Tbh is not a bodykit, the chassis has been elongated, the transmission have to be reworked to the extra lengh, suspension had to be changed due to extra weight, the shaft is completely new. So it only used the engine of the chiron and some more mechanical parts like brakes etc. The rest is all new.
