I put one on my 97. The only downside is the defrost vent on the drivers side end of the dash isn’t a perfect fit (just like yours). Other than that, it’s a quality product.
if the dash is already out for other reasons, should one install it? or should it only be done while the truck is in the dash? will this make it hard to remove the dash in the future?
Hi! Those would be great questions to ask someone at DashSkin. You can find their contact info on their website which we linked in this video description.

The only issue I can think of is this cover doesn’t have holes for the screws on top by the vents.
What type of glue?
Did you run the dash bolts through the dash skin?
What size are your tires and rings?
What headlights are on this truck
What if my existing dash is almost non existent, will this still work?
You'll have to give DashSkin a call on that one
Anything gotta be better than a nonexistent dash even if it wobbles a bit or something bc there is no original dash lol
Yea but there’s no point in putting a dash skin on if your dash is broken we’re the bezel clips in, that’s the problem I’m facing
Get a new bezel from a yard and then skin it.
He is speaking of the areas on the existing dash that the skin will not cover. The bezel snaps into these areas which are very fragile from age.
Same I was hoping there was no down side to this dash skin situation smh
